End of Week 2, Start of Week 3
I lost .2 pounds this week. Much less than what I lost the week before, but I'll take it. Especially because I did not eat well yesterday or today. I need to make sure I'm eating better for the rest of the week.
Isn't it wild what a slipper... Read more
I lost 4 pounds this week!!!
I weighed in on Wednesday at 154.2. Until the next 5% Challenge starts, I'm going to make Tuesdays my weigh-in. I did weigh myself almost every day, so I knew it was coming off, and I was shooting for 151.6, so ... Read more
Nothing Quite As Planned
I'm in my gym clothes, but I'm not sure I'll make it there. I should have gotten there over two hours ago, if we're going to be real.
But, I finished working at 8:55am, and went downstairs to eat an orange and an avocado for breakf... Read more
I finally have internet access. I missed you guys!!!
I think the house is functional for the most part. I am in no way unpacked or organized, but I have some clothes and kitchen stuff unpacked. And of course, my stationery and stickers (cur... Read more
Many boxes are packed. We know which furniture I'm taking. I finished my last day of work. I got many presents and a severance. We know who the friends who are helping us load are.
It's been a whirlwind of a month. I've been a little sad, r... Read more
This may be only a part 1, but this is my writing a goal blog to complement the last blog I wrote about Steve Pavlina and writing goals. Once my husband takes the bus to O'Hare after we move me to Indiana, this is what I will work for:

Today I finally caught up on my SparkPeople emails, so I went to my Steve Pavlina emails and tried to get through them. They are article-heavy, so it takes quite a bit of time to read each one. The ones I've been reading are for his "passive inc... Read more
I eat too much. Every single day, I eat too, too much.
I crossed 29,500 fitness minutes, but I weigh more than I ever have.
Granted, these practically 30,000 minutes are over the course of almost 6 years...but still, that's a lot of fr... Read more
There was food! And I didn't track. I didn't have any seconds, though. The steak was unevenly cooked but still delicious, the green bean casserole was the best I've ever made...not at all runny, and the second round of Zaatar bread was great, to... Read more
Today was like a practice for Thanksgiving.
I ate too much.
I worked out for 22 minutes, but it wasn't terribly strenuous.
I also did practice my Zaatar bread recipe. I didn't mean for it to be practice, but since it turned out di... Read more
I got the rest of my dental work done. They said one of the cavities was deep, and maybe too deep, but they tried to fix it. They said if it hurts, I may need a root canal.
How long should I wait? I mean, I just had it done. ... Read more
I left work early today to get some dental work done. I had the right side of my mouth today, and I'll get the left side done tomorrow. I have four fillings on each side! That sounds really bad, but it's over the course of almost 3 years, becaus... Read more
I don't feel like taking the little dog to get his nails done. I feel so lazy. Anyway, he's sleeping, too.
I hopped on the bike and watched "Breaking Amish." It was a pretty boring show, and after suffering through that, I didn't want to wa... Read more
I got a workout in today, and I ate within my calorie range.
Overall, it was a productive day. I was extra-efficient with my work, clipped some coupons, and we spent time cleaning up the yard. We are soooo lazy; some branches fell during Hu... Read more
How to Reward a Kid
I have a 16-year-old exchange student living with me. His report card came today, and he got "second honors," in spite of getting a D in his Bible class. The Bible class was actually a coup in itself, because he was failing and brought it up aft... Read more
