While you were sleeping...
I'm sitting here "working" the Saturday overnight shift from home, more like monitoring for work, trying to finish Sparking (I'm at 45 points for Sunday, way over 100 for Saturday). I want to turn on some You tube dance and walk videos, decided... Read more
Breakfast - much better
I've been on this journey since 2009 when I joined Sparkpeople. Never thought I would be eating left-over stir-fry veggies with two slice boiled eggs. It is actually very good. I'm taking baby steps.
Have a great day!
My thoughs during my first run in Daylight Savings Time:
"It's dark, I'll have quiet time to do a long run. My shoes hurt, my calves hurt, I was okay on Sunday run, this is crazy. That's it, I'm walking home to change my shoes. Oh, much be... Read more
My foot pain from previous post - plantar fasciitis. I was treated by my foot doctor yesterday with orthotics and a shot. He didn't want to give the shot but I told him I was having my first day on a new job as a substitute teacher and the assig... Read more
February 21, 2015 race
My second race this year. Gasparilla Distance Classic 5K. I could have registered for a challenge - 15K plus 5K. Knowing I had to work after the running was over, I chose not to when I registered. Glad I did the shorter distance because my foot ... Read more
I returned to SparkPeople a month or so ago after realizing my Fitbit tracker could link to my Sparkpoints and I didn't have to manually log steps/mileage. I've definitely kept my Spark up, eating better than I was before and still walking/runni... Read more

Orange Blossom Half Marathon & 5K - March 5, 2013
This is a special price half marathon I registered for on Black Friday for $25. I figured even if I didn't do it, I wouldn't loose much. I didn't realize at that time it was only a week after the Disney Princess Half I had already registered for... Read more
WDW Princess Half weekend recap with pics
After a little bribing with a tiara, two souvenir bags, one Coast to Coast and one WDW princess, and a $15 discount, I gave in a registered for the 2013 Disney Princess Half. This was during the expo at the Savanah Rock n Roll early November 201... Read more

Another 26.2 mile journey
My 26 mile training run turned into a 26.2 with bling! When I was told Mount Dora has hills I said "They are not that bad". I was wrong. The "mount" is short for mountain! Hills, heat, humidity was conquered yesterday, December 16, 2012.
