If there is no cancellation, I will have to wait two months. This may conflict with my planned road trip in August with my sister and her kids.
Mom, Daisy and I headed out for a hike this morning (just over 3 miles)
Still pretty dull here:

Interesting growth on this tree... Sun, 11 May 2014 22:41:27 EST Small Victories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5692162 Yesterday I walked and hiked 8.87 miles in spite of a very painful ankle and toes. It was too nice to stay at home indoors. When I first got my cast off two weeks ago, I could barely hold and use a pen. After my shower yesterday I was able to cut my fingernails! I am comfortable using my right arm, but still only at the level it was with the cast on. There is no strength to bring it up higher to my face or anything like that. Baby Steps!
Today Mom and I did a Mother/Daughter ... Sat, 10 May 2014 19:34:57 EST Tender Tootsies, Fickle Feet, Dr. Report http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5690850 My new rheumatologist gave me some good news and bad news. The good is I have no active RA inflammation anywhere. I can stay off methotrexate, Humira and Plaquenil! Finally, after some 40 years on chemo, my liver gets a break!
The bad news is there is no hope for my badly troubled feet. I have had three surgeries so far on them and my Dr. said I can have surgeries until I am blue in the face but it won't help for very long :( The RA is destroying them faster than they can be fi... It looked like the snow was all gone from the East side of the river, a place where Mom doesn't walk often as she prefers the off leash area instead.

Most of my photos on this segment of trail won't load, file too large problem again. Wed, 7 May 2014 00:45:59 EST Kinsmen Home Lottery -Mike Holmes Approved with Photos! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5687055 I wanted to get some exercise in, so I suggested we go visit the lottery home. It was just over 3 miles round trip and the day had warmed up but the wind was still cold.
There were steps up to the home and the living room was sunken with an abrupt drop off. The kitchen had a large fridge and ceramic stove with an island in the middle.

The stairs up to the second level had a nice old wood finish:
<... Sun, 4 May 2014 10:00:22 EST Dr. News, Good, Bad and Ugly http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5684440 The good news is I may go without the cast, but to use it where I might have more vigorous activity like hiking or to protect it from excess movement. The Dr. believes the forearm breaks and drill holes are well on their way to being healed. The humerus head is also showing lots of bone building. But the original compound fracture in the middle of the humerus doesn't show such healing on the X-Ray, but because it wasn't painful on touch and manipulation feels its okay there too. He has bee...
