Sun, 20 Dec 2015 23:57:25 EST Winner -Not!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6038285 I have been scratching to win an Air Miles contest online for a month now without any luck, so when I logged in to play the daily contest this morning, I saw:

It showed me winning five air miles! But, since there was no way I could 'scratch' it, evidently it could not register my win! By some technical glitch, my first and probably only win in this contest doesn't exist!! If it wasn'... After a month of glorious fresh air, being able to leave my bedroom door open, and hanging coats in the entrance area, I came home to that old familiar smell 28 After a month in the hospital, my neighbor came home, spewing her filth into my air. I was hoping she would learn her lesson what that habit is doing to her health after her critical incident, but she can't give it up! Its a mystery why her air floods my apartment, maybe the shared d... I should not lift anything remotely heavy with my right arm. That weak, four inches shorter bent arm. No way to make it stronger. Fri, 20 Nov 2015 22:38:46 EST It Can Be Done http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6033382 I recorded my lowest step count last week after my surgery. But my weight remained the same. No excuses. Less fitness = less calories = weight maintenance. I am still dealing with the plugged ears, sinuses and blocked Eustachian Tubes which sometimes make me dizzy and over heated. I am on steroidal nasal spray and decongestants. The Doctor said it may take months!! to recover! But I push on and enjoy whatever exercise I can safely do. I eat lots of fruits and veggies. Because I... Mon, 16 Nov 2015 22:58:43 EST 6th Year Maintaining http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6032143 I first joined Sparkpeople May 13 2009, but long before that I was on the old weight rollercoaster of fun, starting in my 20's. Living with a chronic condition and having multiple surgeries over my life lead me to being a real expert at weight loss. But finally, through this website and the amazing friends on here, a goal weight was found and kept.
The Game Changers for me were:
1. Accurately tracking my food.
2. Fri, 30 Oct 2015 08:41:18 EST History, Stonehenge and Sad News http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6023318 In high school one of my worst subjects was history (after math). I found it boring and tedious. The only time I perked up was when they covered WW II. Why? Because that was real and lifelike to me. There was a legion only blocks from my home that I have visited, enjoyed their museum and talking to the vets. But other than that, my city was 'new' Nothing very old or interesting. Modern plastic and glass buildings and houses quite often looking alike. The art gallery featured mostly... Thu, 29 Oct 2015 19:16:56 EST
