I hadn't noticed it as the pain of my toes and bunionette on my right foot took more notice. She took a dremel like tool to smooth down the pushed up toe's corrupted nail (it rubs on everything because it sticks up so develops a callus) She tried putting a wedge of moleskin under t... I don't know why smokers are given the right to destroy other people's lives. Should be a law against it!! Government has to... Wed, 6 May 2015 19:04:16 EST Learning To Turn It Off http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5923418 So I am trying to cut back my exercise. Funny as that sounds as many people struggle just to get it in. The problem is my intensity. When you love something, you can't get enough of it. I am an all or nothing person. I could go until I drop, literally. I used the excuse of being in training for an event. Well that event is done and its time to dial it down. There is no real reason to get in 180 plus fitness minutes a day. Problem is, when I hear great songs I am ready to get up ... Wed, 6 May 2015 00:55:16 EST Frustrations,, http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5922414 I came home after my wonderful five days at Mom's place, when no sooner then I finished unpacking then my neighbor's cigarette smoke started flooding my apartment. So I opened my one tiny window and cranked up my three fans, but it couldn't stem the tide :-( I did my laundry and vacuumed anyway, then I went to the bridge club to set up my game.
I discovered someone had totally destroyed the power cords to both our containers we use for making tea :-( Then I discovered they hadn... Mon, 4 May 2015 12:09:00 EST The End! Hike Photos http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5921595 I finished my Globe Walk To The Moon challenge with 287.65 miles for April for an average of 9.58 miles per day, less than other months. When I submitted them, my team captain said I had the highest totals of the 54 person team. I will get to meet her and others of my team at the Gala next weekend. I am kind of sorry its over, but not really lol. Ready to take it more easy.
I did a solo 5.97 mile hike yesterday, but this evening Mom and Daisy joined me. She had been working on... Sun, 3 May 2015 00:48:02 EST Crocus Hike Photos and Surgeon's Report. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5920540 I wanted to see the first flower of the season here, which is the crocus. It grows like a weed in this grassland area, but doesn't last long. Amazingly, our huge snow fall did not kill them!

They stood out against the stark landscape:

Close up:

Daisy me... Fri, 1 May 2015 01:29:49 EST Highs & Lows! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5919987 Five days ago we had 20 cm (11 inches) of snow dumped on us. Today it was 81 F (27 C). No sign of the snow except in shaded areas sheltered by trees. Weather in Saskatchewan. If you don't like it, wait one minute and it will change. Unfortunately, its this rapidly changing temperature that wreaks havoc on a person with RA. I suspect my bad pain episodes were predicting the weather change.
Enjoyed my first bridge game with a new partner, a long time friend of my mentor's. ... Thu, 30 Apr 2015 01:03:27 EST Good News http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5919435 I asked the pharmacy if the Drug Exception Status program would do a current review of my medication costs instead of having to wait for the usual annual review. The pharmacist looked into it and he said they agreed my costs have gone up dramatically over last year and will now set it back down to 3% instead of the 13% Copay I had. Also the Humira I just paid $200 for will be reimbursed when I mail in the receipt.
The day started out great, did my exercise, enjoyed my game, do... Wed, 29 Apr 2015 01:28:14 EST Trees Down And Scary Experience! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5918369 My sister and I thought we would drive to the weir to see if we could see the pelicans. Mon, 27 Apr 2015 08:18:37 EST Snowbound! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5917836 Huge snowfall, heavy, wet snow caused a mugo to fall over and its still coming down! Its 5:30 am, Mom's usual wake up time and I would have rather stayed snuggled in my blankets, oh well. Its right a freezing but by Monday expected to get up to 20 C. Really stiff and sore this morning. Unfortunately, I don't have boots, or I would get out there and go for a walk.
Enjoy your day! This was exactly what I needed as I was desperately seeking both a new workout bra as well as one for daily use. Without thinking, as I liked both bras I tried on, I said I would take both. Naturally, they made the free one the cheapest one. I had no idea what the prices were. It turned out I spent $126 for th... Fri, 24 Apr 2015 01:15:43 EST I Have Bunionettes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5916136 Also known as a Tailor's bunion, it develops on the outside of the foot at the bottom of the fifth toe. Its usually caused by rubbing and/or too narrow shoes. That is not the case with me as I have always had to get shoes that are wide with a large toe box because of my deformed toes. Unfortunately, the X-Ray analysis does not say whether this is just a growth or the foot has splayed. It is minor surgery if its a growth, major involving a pin if its splayed. I suspect its splayed becau... Thu, 23 Apr 2015 01:11:52 EST
