Not happy about that but once I realized that it is actually less than my 129 weigh in on Tuesday, I also realized, it could be worse. My food intake the past few weeks has not been great. That last two weeks I have had a positive (instead of negative) caloric intake difference. That is certainly not the recipe for weight loss success. I just need to stick with my usual program and avoid the extra eating that has gotten me stuck back up here. I can't help but wonder w... Sun, 26 Feb 2012 13:08:17 EST One Year Anniversary: 9June07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=598433 Today is my one year anniversary! When I signed up, I truly didn't know how long I would do this, or if I even really would but here I am, one year later and 40 pounds lighter! It has been great to lose that weight but the steps it took to do that are even more empowering.

I finally got active again. I walk 4-5 times a week, I was swimming twice a week during the winter but now have a new bicylce and have been riding with my husband and son 2-3 times a week. I actually miss t... Sat, 9 Jun 2007 13:34:42 EST 15March07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=468990 This first week back from vacation has been a little bumpy. Rather than focus on what I didn't accomplish though, I think I need to focus on what I did accomplish. So far that has been meeting my calorie goals and meeting most of my excercise goals. It's funny how I can get totally caught up in what I didn't do and disregard what I was able to do. I need to work on that.

Thu, 15 Mar 2007 14:16:03 EST 27Feb07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=445209 Yesterday was a great day, totally on with the calories and lots of excercise and fresh foods. Why is it that I always seem to get on a roll and then something comes up like a vacation? Not that I don't like a nice vacation every now and then.

My plan for vacation is to do my best to eat healthfully but also allow for a few "treats". I also am going to try to limit my alcohol intake since I do tend to like to drink around my brother and my uncles. I'm not sure what kind of op... Tue, 27 Feb 2007 13:55:43 EST 19Feb07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=433192 I just came back from my first walk in about two weeks and it sure did feel great. It is still mighty cold out there but it's a really beautiful day and it was so great to get some fresh air and to move. I think my visitors will be gone by the time I get off work so my plan is to go to the pool and do laps. I really want this week to be completely on track. It's been a while since I have been able to meet both my nutrition AND fitness goals and I'll be leaving for vacation on the 28th. I... Mon, 19 Feb 2007 13:43:16 EST 16Feb07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=429531 This has been an off month for me. I haven't been able to get my usual excercise due to a back injury and the inclement weather. My back is better now though and it's supposed to warm up in a few days. Hopefully I can get back on track in the coming week.

I have also had a diminished appetite and have had a hard time meeting even my minimum calorie goals. I NEVER thought that would happen. Only a few months ago I had a hard time staying under the highest calorie goal. I think... Fri, 16 Feb 2007 13:32:29 EST 26Jan07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=398018 Well, this was not the greatest week for me. I did minimal excercise and only half-heartedly stuck within my calorie range. I have made very good progress with some other aspects of life though, like not smoking for 3 weeks and watching my alcohol intake.

I think part of the problem for me this week was the weather. It has gotten very cold here this week and I haven't wanted to get out and take my usual daily walk. Since I'm not getting my usual amount of excercise, I think my ... Fri, 26 Jan 2007 00:00:00 EST 11Jan07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=372038 I'm so happy I was down over a pound this morning. It's been a long time since the scale went in that direction so it's very motivating.

I am usually pretty excited to go go to the pool but yesterday my heart wasn't really in it. I went anyway and it was ok. I felt great afterwards and of course I'm glad I went.

I heeded my own advice and entered my dinner in the food tracker before eating anything else. It's a good thing I did because I was right at the number of ... Thu, 11 Jan 2007 12:52:26 EST 8Jan07 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=365785 Well, I didn't do so great yesterday and went slightly over my high end calorie range. I really don't feel too bad about it since I have not been feeling very well the last few days. I am somewhat better today and am going to try to stay at the lower end of my calories.

I'm scheduled to go go the pool tonight but at the moment I'm not really feeling up to it. I guess that will be a game time decision.

Even though I haven't been doing too great with calories, the scale... Mon, 8 Jan 2007 12:55:52 EST 2 January 2007 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=353798 A very good start to the new year. Under 1300 calories for today. I'm ready to get serious about this again this week. Tomorrow I'll be taking my walk and Wednesday it's back at the pool! Mon, 1 Jan 2007 21:39:13 EST 28Dec06 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=348972 Well, I veered off track over the holiday weekend. I think I've got things back under control today. I got some excercise yesterday and today and I think I can control my appetite again.

I don't really mind taking a break for posting to SP and just living my life. Occasionally I start thinking that I'm obsessed with SP so taking a break can be a good thing. It's also a good thing to get back to it.

I'm not exactly where I wanted to be weight wise right now but I'm ju... Thu, 28 Dec 2006 12:06:31 EST 20Dec06 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=343923 I was able to attain my goal yesterday of under 1300 calories. I really needed that small victory. I had an even bigger payoff this morning with a drop in the scale, almost another whole pound! I am still not going to make it to 155 by the 31st, that would be 4 pounds in 10 days. I just don't think that is going to happen. But, on the other hand, that is some serious motivation for staying on track on the holidays and for the week that I'm off.

We got some pictures back yester... Wed, 20 Dec 2006 11:04:25 EST 15 December 2006 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=340629 I have been with SP for about 6 months now and have lost about 20 pounds. I am only 5 pounds shy of my initial goal weight. I must confess though, that this was a small goal, just to get me started. Once I hit that, I will still be "overweight" according to the BMI chart--and the mirror! I don't know yet what my next goal will be. I will make that decision when I have met my first goal.

SP has been a huge motivator for me and I am so glad that I found this website! Fri, 15 Dec 2006 15:24:17 EST
