YOGAGIRL84's SparkPeople Blog YOGAGIRL84's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Here we go again... So, this feels familiar- Hitting the restart button on trying to excercise regularly. It's a long story full of personal details and some health issues, but I'm glad to be back in good health, ready to get in shape! I'm still right at my goal weight (within 3 pounds) and I'm eating much better. I've been working out for a few weeks now. About 2-3 times per week. I would like to bulid up to a daily workout during the work week and then some fun outdoor family activities on the weekends. I'll p... Wed, 16 Jan 2013 11:00:57 EST Why, Hey there! It's been a looooong time since I've blogged or even been on SparkPeople. Major changes happened last year (around this time) and I lost the weight I wanted to, made some new goals (unrelated to health), and lost my motivation for SparkPeople. However, I still lack good habits (like a daily workout) and really want health, as well as all the other wonderful things in my life!

I'm going to try again. I'm going to add fruits and veggies in again, start working out again, and drown m... Mon, 24 Oct 2011 12:28:24 EST Scary Stuff My husband is a sheriff's deputy, which means every time he goes to work, I worry. (I'm a worrier who is trying to learn not to be this way...) Last night, his car was hit by a drunk driver who was driving WAY fast (80 MPH). The driver is in the hospital because of injuries he sustained during the accident. My husband, fortunately, is safe at home with me. 334

I'm allowing this incident to remind me to always be grateful for my family. At times, I'm a bit overwhelmed wit... Sat, 4 Sep 2010 14:22:50 EST Is it really possible...? Is it really possible that I can see a difference in my body after only ONE week of working out regularly? I've been a member of SparkPeople since May but I was doing the workout stuff my own way and using the website to track it. However, I've recently started implementing some of the information I've picked up from the site and the book. This week I've worked out several times (somedays, only doing a ten minute "Spark workout") and I think I can see a change in my legs and tummy.

... Fri, 3 Sep 2010 23:43:57 EST One Step at a Time I've worked out three times this week, thirty minutes each time. I'm proud of my progress, especially since I haven't felt amazing physically this week. I've done yoga, walked, and jogged. I like to vary my workouts so that I don't get bored. Having FitTV and a DVR has helped by giving me lots of options and the freedom workout on my schedule.

I'd love to hear from other members who are staying motivated and continuing to move! Yay!

Sun, 29 Aug 2010 23:21:48 EST Increasing fruits and veggies made easy! I'm working on increasing produce intake and have had recent success by making smoothies and eating a tomato and lettuce/spinach salad before lunch and/or supper. My smoothies have fresh/frozen fruit, yogurt, and juice or low-calorie drink in them. The salads are easy to turn into a meal with a can of tuna or deli meat and shredded cheese. I'm making slow progress in the area of health and of course struggling a bit here and there.

My next personal goal is to increase my activity ... Mon, 16 Aug 2010 02:54:20 EST Happy about SparkPeople I'm excited to be a part of something bigger than myself, to get to share my thoughts with other people who are trying to do similar things I'm doing! Today was a gorgeous day and I feel successful. I'm eating lots of fruits and veggies and drinking water, staying within a range of calories that I'm comfortable with, and working out regularly. I love getting points too! This website has definitely hit on several things that I love!

220 Wed, 5 May 2010 22:54:38 EST
