All set for tomorrow's 10 k race, my first one. Since I started participating in races this year, I've been to a 5 k race almost every month, so now it's on to a 10k. Floating used to be so easy but I guess I've torched so much of the fat , now there's more lean muscle and I'm having trouble floating. I guess the extra fat served an important purpose after all. Very happy with my accomplishment but the problem is, I have to do better at the next race. Now I have to go train for the next 5 K race which is on July 4th. I finished the race in 32 minutes and was 5th in my age group. This was above and beyond how I expected to perform and it motivated me to do better.
