I have let this stop and has made a big difference in eating items I shouldn't. My plan is to week 1 write all items on a sheet of paper, week 2 write items on a sheet of paper and figure out calorie counts, week three start entering food items into spark nutrition again.

This year I wish and really want to bike, walk, step or any other exercise at least 100 miles ... YEAH!!!

I can't wait to get camping again. We are going to start geocaching. That should be a great adventure for the kids and us. A real treasure hunt.

Maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself. Here in Wyoming spring doesn't really come till Memorial Day but that's just right around the corner, right? We've had spring time weather and have started some spring cleaning. Why is it every time I clean the window the dog goes up there and puts... Wed, 19 Mar 2008 19:29:26 EST Nothing New http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1034749 OK there is one thing. Nascar is back on. YEAH!!! Tony is 3rd in points whoo hooo. I'm sure all those Gordon fans a jealous. LOL

About the nutrition: I am have a terrible time not eating sweets. I need someone to slap my hand everytime I reach for a candy bar. I know if I could stay away from sugar for a week I would be back on track. Mon, 25 Feb 2008 16:34:54 EST Middle of February http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1004427 We have hardly had any snow. How sad, I love going outside and shoveling that snow. It's great for cardio and arms. Come on Mr. snow man bring us some snow. :)

All in all it has been a very busy February. I have been exercising at least 5 days a week. Doing my pilates 2 days if not 3 each week, along with walking. Yesterday was very pleasant out so took Nemo for a run at the school. It was good for both of us.

Don't really have any new goals. What I really need to... Tue, 12 Feb 2008 12:06:42 EST Kids Back in school http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=910521 I love my boys, but they have been out of school almost 3 weeks. It was time for all of us to get a break. LOL Actually it was a really nice Christmas break. We got to play out in the snow a lot, we read books, play games and went to a few movies. I love the time with them but I need some ME time too.

My plans now that they are back in school are:

1) Sew something-either make an apron or finish my quilt that is done except the quilting.

2) read more <BR... Wed, 9 Jan 2008 23:27:01 EST Woo Hoo http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=882398 It's 2008. Where in the world did 2007 go. I'm excited for this new year. This is the year I will achieve my weight goal. The difference in this year and last is I feel so much better. I know I am eating healthy and exercising to make myself strong. Plus the fun of seeing my children follow in my foot steps. I'll be stepping along or jogging and they start jogging with me. It's a game to them but that's OK because it will lead to healthy lives and bodies.

My birthday is com... Tue, 1 Jan 2008 15:26:28 EST It feels a lot like Christmas http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=858083 How exciting to be in the middle of the Holiday Season. My shopping is almost done. There is snow outside and bright blue sky. I love this time year.

My Nascar team has started a few challenges for this season. #1 we are keeping track of our calories burned. We are only 10 days in the month and have burned more than 10 days worth of calories. Now we have a new challenge going for strength training. Not my strength. :( But then I guess I need to do it. I have been doing t... Tue, 11 Dec 2007 14:14:16 EST Made it through Thanksgiving http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=846645 Well Thanksgiving is over and I remained the same weight. Was even on vacation so I feel pretty good about that.

My Daughter has gone home now and things are getting back to normal. Had a good workout today and hope that is a sign of the rest of the month.

It snowed today so I guess shoveling snow will be a good way of burning some calories. I just looked outside and it is 3 degrees. The poor dog had to go out. LOL I bet he will want in quickly.

December... She is having surgery on Thursday. It is all happening very quickly. I have never met her in person, she lives in a different country. But still she is a friend and we have had many laughs and gone through many (stepping) challenges together.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Debby. I hope the surg... We will be leaving for vacation in a few weeks, I have girlfriends coming over this weekend for movie night and many Christmas parties and activities going to happen.

When the activities are here it is much easier since I have control over what is served. I love this time of year and I love to decorate for fall and Christmas. But I also do a lot of baking for friends at this time. Need to check out spark for some new co... Mon, 29 Oct 2007 13:42:47 EST 40 pounds gone http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=785542 Yipee, 40lbs gone, forever (I hope). Still have some to go, but I feel so good compared to that out of breath person that first started the end of January. One more pound and I will be just fat and not obese. I can't wait. Today I went shopping for my reward (purse) and got a great deal at Macy's. They were having a sale so I had to buy it. So now I get to look at it till I lose that one pound. Then I get my reward. LOL

The next 20 pounds. I don't know how long it will take... Sat, 13 Oct 2007 23:03:42 EST This weeks blog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=761577 So I have started a running program. It's more walking right now than running but I am getting there. I am taking Nemo out Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He will get his exercise and I will get mine. It was kind of fun Monday we were running and he came right next to me and ran with me for a short time. Told him what a good dog he was. Today we went out in back and ran and hiked the hills. It is beautiful weather and the sky is perfectly clear. A little brisk in the morning and a sligh... Wed, 26 Sep 2007 13:04:29 EST Nothing new http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=750184 The weather is cooling and the kids are back in school. Been working on the carnival for the strings fundraiser. Will be glad when Friday is over. I think it will be a lot of fun, but sure has been a lot of work.

My back is finally getting better. Did my "The Firm" video yesterday and it went really well. 45 min. which is the most I have done yet. Today I plan to do 2 miles WATP and my pilates. Need to start stretching those muscles.

My eating has been good. Even... Tue, 18 Sep 2007 09:41:38 EST Fall http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=732314 Fall is almost here. I can't wait. Cooler temps seem to give me so much more energy. The kids are back in school. I miss them of course, but I can go shopping and not spend a fortune. Yes I say no but I also say yes.

Lately exercising has been so much more enjoyable since it is cooler. I just started doing a "the firm" video and love it. It incorporates stretching, strength training and low impact aerobics. I also love to just walk. We went for a walk last night as a fami... Wed, 5 Sep 2007 15:48:22 EST Focus on goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=716997 Since I had such a hard summer losing weight I made my goals smaller. I set a goal of 7 lbs for the summer. This Friday I finally achieved that goal. It feels really good, especially since my reward is to cut my hair. I think you need to set goals that are obtainable and give yourself a reward for meeting them.

My next goal will be 7 lbs. I don't care how long it takes as long as the scale just keeps inching down. I am eating healthy and that feels good. Also started a new e... Sat, 25 Aug 2007 15:02:17 EST Sleep http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=706537 Now this is the topic. How much sleep do I get a night? Well if varies from 5 hours a night to close to 8. I don't need the amount I used to need. Because of spark, myspace, live spaces, etc I have a lot to look at and like to at night when everyone is in bed. No interuptions. If you need more sleep and are not getting it then that can be bad for your health and could be dangerous if you drive in your job.

I have not noticed the amount of sleep I get or don't get making a ... Sat, 18 Aug 2007 09:18:22 EST Succumb to Laziness? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=690573 Have I succumb to laziness regarding my workouts. I am much less diligent than I was. I still exercise everyday but have dropped the intenseness (is that a word) I had at one time. Partly do to the kids being home from school. It is so much easier to exercise when you aren't interupted a dozen times.

Procrastination: I don't put off, I do change what I do.
Effort: My effort is in deed less. Will that increase when it is cooler and the kids are in school? I hope so. <... Tue, 7 Aug 2007 15:28:03 EST Setting goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=674022 Since I am having such a hard time this summer my view of setting goals has changed. I still have my long term goal, that is my ending weight. But my short term and medium term goals have changed.

I am finding it much easier to set smaller more attainable short term goals such as: this month my goal is to exercise (do something) everyday. So far I have succeeded in that and that feels good.

My medium term goal is an amount of weight to lose. In May I had joined a ch... Fri, 27 Jul 2007 13:35:00 EST 2nd week in July http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=644521 As I have stated in other blogs this summer has been really hard to stay on track 100%. I'm doing much better than I would if I had never found Spark but still I am not losing. So my goal for this week is to lose 1 lb. Exercise doing my Dance video 3 days and pilates 3 days. Also I need to switch up the food a bit. I seem to eat the same things so I need to change my selection some. I think doing some different exercises and switching my food will help get those numbers going down again... Mon, 9 Jul 2007 14:26:01 EST Reflecting on the good things. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=634738 This reflection came at such a good time. I was feeling sorry for myself. The weight is coming off slower now and our trailer busted this weekend. It will probably take all summer to get it fixed. But why think of those things. Think about the weight I have lost and how much better I feel. I have so much more energy and have gone down 2 sizes. These are truly gifts that I need to reflect on and appreciate.

I have the best husband and children. I am so thankful for all the... Tue, 3 Jul 2007 09:16:24 EST Weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=621742 I blew it again this weekend. If we just could skip it I would do so much better. Was very busy Saturday so didn't have the time to cook and prepar my meals. Sunday had friends over and BBQ'd. I didn't have a bun with my Hamburger but I ate plenty of cookies instead. Monday need to re-group and do double the workout. I feel horible right now, all bloated. Why did I do it. Now it will take all week to redo what I just did. I am drinking a ton of water right now and hoping that will fl... Sun, 24 Jun 2007 22:28:41 EST My teams http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=614356 One of the best things about Sparkpeople are the teams and the people you meet. I belong to some great teams, some are encouraging, some are fun, some keep me honest (on track) and some get me movin.

One of my first teams was "Are there any Nascar Fans". I have since become co-leader. Hoping to keep the same fun spirit that it has. Also incorporate some different topics such as picking top 3 for each race. There are some really nice people on this team, wish we lived closer to... Tue, 19 Jun 2007 22:55:22 EST vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=598285 Just got back from vacation. Had a great time, wish we had a few more days. I was not as bad eating wise as I would have been before Spark, but I could have been better. Did lots of walking but not much other exercise.

So now it is getting back on track. I didn't drink much water while gone and boy am I dehydrated. My fingers are puffy and I feel bloated. So I am really concentrating on water. This is good to remember next time to drink lots of water. Hopefully in the n...
