I was prepared for lines, for heat, for discomfort. <BR> We got there at 9:30 am and got in the line to get our tickets (Bought on line, but since we choose “Florida residents” we had to show our IDs). The line was 40 minutes long, and half of the windows were ... Wed, 23 Jun 2010 12:53:21 EST It was a beautiful Saturday..... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3104989 Ok, SO yesterday was a beautiful day, sunny and warm, and we decided to run some errands. One of them was a pleasant trip to a mall (Tyrone Mall in St Petersburg, Fl) to do some shopping (the good kind, not the food kind. LOL). <BR> We had been in the shopping for a while and decided to step out so we could have a cigarette. There we were standing at Dillard’s door when Del, joking, said “Look, somebody got your car”, pointing to a car that was coming in our direction which was very simi... Let's see what May reserves Mon, 30 Apr 2007 17:00:19 EST Stability Ball - What a workout! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=523307 Yesterday I bought a stability ball (I just want to have more variety in my workouts) but what I was not expecting was that inflating the ball would be such workout itself! I followed the directions and did not use a compressor. When I finally finished it I was completly sweeting and felt like I had just run a marathon! LOL But now it is fine, after all, today I'll be able to use the ball with exercises! Fri, 20 Apr 2007 09:27:46 EST The shopping cart http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=522641 Today I went grossery shopping. It is silly, I know, But I was observing other people's carts e the difference. My stuff was primarely fresh veggies and fruits, and lots of fat free, whole grain things. No pizzas, frozen snacks, fattening stuff. It felt good. The change with Spark people is not only my weight, it is also in several other areas of my life. I am really enjoying this. Thu, 19 Apr 2007 18:43:52 EST Back on track! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=520213 well, after a not so good week last week, I planned and I am back on track regarding my exercising schedule. Monday and Tuesday were good and there is no reason for the rest of the week to be different. Now that I am on "going" mode all it is needed is to keep it going. And it is so good to have this accomplisment feeling! Wed, 18 Apr 2007 10:42:54 EST New Years day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=516432 It is Monday! For me Mondays work as new year's day. You know that disposition to change and start new things? I have that feeling every monday. SInce last week was kind of slow for me regarding exercising, I intent to use this new year's day effect today to regroup and go back with my exercising schedule. Let's the new year begin! Mon, 16 Apr 2007 09:58:40 EST Bad Week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=514834 This was a not so good week for me. While I kept my calory intake under control Icould not follow my exercising schedule. A terrible working schedule made it impossibel. I know it shouldn't be an excuse, but After working 16 hours three days I just do not have any energy left wahtsoever. But a new week is starting and things are going to change and maybe, I will go back to the loose weight thing again! Sun, 15 Apr 2007 09:31:36 EST My day off http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=490523 Days off are terrible. they have always been, they will always be! Yesterday was my first day off work after I started SP seriuosly and altough I don't thing that everything was lost, the "day of effect" as felt. I ate less healthly and more pasta..... Drinking also was a bit more than it should be. On the other hand I took advantage of the extra time and ad some extra bycicling to my day and also a couple of crunches repeatitions. So, I survived the day off without too much damage... or... Fri, 30 Mar 2007 09:09:47 EST I found it! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=488921 OMG! as a new member of sparkpeople osmetimes I get lost. Working with cups, ponds, ounces for me is a bit complicated. I was born and raised in a country that uses the metric system, so some of this units used in America (and at SP) are strange for me and do not give me any idea of real amounts. The soluti... Thu, 29 Mar 2007 09:06:18 EST The beggining http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=484822 I just started using SprakPeople and I am still learning how to use all the resources and tools in the site but I am getting more and more excited with the possibilities. <BR> The portions initially looked too small but I am going through the day without being hungry. <BR> ALso, I am working on adapting the system to my very long days. I usually work 16 hours a day and my meals have to be well distributed along the hours. But it seems it is going to work. Mon, 26 Mar 2007 20:27:16 EST
