We did have a busy weekend and fun filled weekend. As the saying goes "when you're having fun, time slips by".
Saturday saw me tackling some house hold chores, visiting with Shyra and Kaeli and then in the evening going out on a double date with Kaeli and her beau. We went out for a quick dinner and then to the theater to see a performance by Mump and Smoot. Sunday saw us having a much more leisurely day at home, but in the... I just have to remember that as long as I'm doing what needs to be done, the weight elimination WILL follow. I think it was more self preservation on her part, but it worked for me *grin*.

My Gratefuls:
1. My selectors sent me lots of work to keep me busy at home for yesterday and today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Kaeli was able to take me out to get groceries ... Fri, 17 Jan 2014 09:15:52 EST What a day yesterday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5595686 The winds were something else yesterday. We broke a record with the winds clocked at 120km. I had to call Garry to come home and tend to some pieces of flashing that the wind was in the process of tearing off the front of the house. He got here just in time to stop them from blowing away and possibly causing damage somewhere else. Now we will have to have some repairs done, but it could have been worse.
I was very concerned for a bit about the trees on the other side of our backyard fenc... Thu, 16 Jan 2014 09:28:51 EST The winds they are a blowin' http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5594564 The temperatures warmed up to the plus side late yesterday and overnight, with that came the winds. We have winds still blowing at between 80 and 100 km an hour. All the decorations have blown off the Garry's trees outside. Thankfully it looks like most of them have fallen into the the bit of hollow at the base of the trees. Hopefully they will stay there held in place by all the snow mounds around them.
Listening to the news this morning and it appears the wind has caused some damage in... Wed, 15 Jan 2014 10:16:34 EST Getting back into the swing of things. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5592169 Slowly but surely, I'm getting back into the swing of my normal routine. One more week of working only a few hours a day and then next week I start my full hours. It's so good that I'm able to work from home right now as my nights are still very restless and if I was having to get up at my normal time to head out the door, it would certainly be a major struggle.

I had a very nice weekend. Saturday was spent going for my massage, out to brunch with my hubby and then in the afternoo... Mon, 13 Jan 2014 10:21:53 EST Patience, such a good word for me this year! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5590079 I've been doing so well with the healing of my knee that yesterday's set back into stiffness and more pain really made me stop and practice "patience".
I had to evaluate why and once I realized the why, then it was so much easier to accept with patience.
I had gone for my 6 week checkup and the physio therapist there had me doing different and more difficult exercises as well as showing me how to stop favoring my right leg so that the strength could fully return. Then I had my regul... Sat, 11 Jan 2014 10:19:34 EST 6 week check-up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5587857 It's hard to believe that it's been 6 weeks since my surgery already! Seemed like it took forever to get here and now it's 6 weeks behind me.
I head into the city this morning for a 9am appointment to make sure that all is well. Bless Garry's heart for taking the time off work to see that I get there.

My Gratefuls:
1. I'm very grateful that Garry is able to take the time off work as needed to take me to my appointments. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm gratefu... Thu, 9 Jan 2014 09:35:21 EST Getting used to the changes on Spark finally http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5585451 Now that the points wheel is attached at the top of the page, I'm finally remembering to log in each day. When it was only at the bottom of the page, I was often missing that step. I would gather up the other points, but often didn't remember that one! Yay. It really has been simplified in so many ways. Thanks Spark team for all your hard work.

Much better night last night. I had a pretty rough patch around 1:20 this morning, but managed to meditate my way through it and ended up g... Tue, 7 Jan 2014 10:26:34 EST Living Gratefully http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5584085 It's mornings like this morning that I really appreciate having learned to list my gratefuls as I start my day. I could focus on things that are more negative and it would be so easy, instead I'm choosing to find all the positives that are going on. By switching my focus, I also switch my attitude.

1. Yep, I had a rough night with pain and my knee, but the plus side of this is that I have a nice warm bed to sleep in and I have a knee. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Yep, I... Mon, 6 Jan 2014 09:50:31 EST
