It's just a practice session - I'm not all dressed up in my hula costume or anything, but it was good to practice making a video. Someday I will make a more "professional" looking one - once I learn how to put a movie together lol

This dance is called "Beautiful Kauai" a hula number that I have performed for different local functions (school "culture" or "Hawaii" days, weddings, various parties, etc.).
... Thu, 23 May 2013 18:24:02 EST Easy Empty Nester Workout ;) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4971313 I usually work out to my Beachbody and a few other non Beachbody DVD's, but this summer I've been taking a bit of a break from them and doing outside activities to pump my heart up and get my exercise in. "Workouts" such as mowing my lawn - it takes us about 7 to 8 hours by push mower to complete - gardening and taking walks on our gravel road. One other fun workout is fishing. It doesn't really get my heart racing except when there's a fish on the hook :)

Anyway, I just wante... Sun, 15 Jul 2012 13:40:25 EST Wedding Day - July 9 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4387568 I'm getting caught up slowly but surely so I guess I'd like to tell ya'll about the wedding and reception that I've been planning for the last 10 months or so. The planning consumed my last few weeks leading up to it, so I wasn't consistent with my workouts and eating real healthy. (That changed yesterday!)

My oldest daughter and her 8 year old son flew in earlier in the week and the fun began. Of course she wanted to tour some of Iowa - so did her sister that lives here....and... Tue, 26 Jul 2011 13:48:49 EST My Vibrams are so comfy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4229342 I've been wanting to buy these Vibrams for quite a while now. I like being barefoot or in sandals, flip flops and the like (next best to being barefoot) and I think shoes are confining! Growing up in Hawaii had us running around barefoot a lot of the time. Plus my feet are flat so I haven't *always* found really really comfy shoes. I received a gift card to this shoe store for Mother's Day (at my suggestion when asked for ideas for a gift) so yesterday I bought a pair of Vibram KSO TrekSp... Tomorrow starts Lent and I am going to give up second helpings. I've been struggling with portion control, specifically at dinner. This has got to stop if I'm going to reach my final goals once and for all. My husband told me that when he met me (almost 31 years ago) that I ate like a bird. Well, I really don't remember that cos I know how much I love to e... Tue, 8 Mar 2011 11:54:41 EST Day 5, 6 & 7/Week 12 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3756811 I think my back is 99% healed! Yay! I skipped Day 5's workout which was Stretch 40. Day 6 I did Tone 30 and Fire 45 EZ. It sure felt great to do 80 minutes of workouts :D Sunday is my usual Rest Day so I took that for the last day of the round. I still need to measure my results. Tue, 2 Nov 2010 11:54:33 EST Day 3 & 4/Week 12 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3746794 Since I worked yesterday, was too tired to wake up and do a workout before work and had evening plans after work, I took the scheduled Rest Day. But today I did Fire 55 EZ. Whew! That one *still* kicks my butt! I had to slow down just a little so I wouldn't hurt my back (felt it tweak a little during some of the moves). Now it's time for some Shakeology and to think about making supper. Or maybe I'll work on making some greeting cards while I drink my Shake :) Thu, 28 Oct 2010 16:41:28 EST Day 1 & 2/Week 12 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3742821 This is the last week on this round. It's a Recovery Week and no strength training is scheduled, but I might just stick some in for good measure - seeing as I was off with my sore back for a couple weeks...or was it 3? Anyway, yesterday was a scheduled Rest Day, but I did Fire 45. Today I did the scheduled Fire 45 EZ and Stretch 10. I had a little trouble in some moves on Fire 45 EZ...just out of practice, I think. lol My back is still not 100% pain-free. There are times when it just h... Tue, 26 Oct 2010 23:07:01 EST Day 6 & 7/Week 11 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3740062 This one is simple. Day 6 workout which was Fire 30 and Stretch 10 I skipped cos it was a full day of Visitation, Funeral, Burial and Luncheon that started early in the morning and ended mid afternoon. After taking a few breaths, we headed to the folks to drink away the stress and welcome the relief! Day 7 is my normal Rest Day so I gladly took it! Whew! Mon, 25 Oct 2010 20:31:42 EST Day 4 & 5/Week 11 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3732145 The best laid plans can change in an instant! This week we received word that my brother in law died. So that, coupled with having to work two 10 hour days and one 5 hour day, spending time over at the folks', etc, etc., I had to rearrange my workout schedule. I just want to get thru my last 2 weeks of this round of TF!!! So Day 4 I did TF Tone 30 and HIIT 15. HIIT 25 was on the schedule, but it has way more plyo than I want to deal with while I'm still not feeling 100% in my back. Toda... Fri, 22 Oct 2010 00:06:51 EST Day 1 - 3/Week 11 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3724041 My back is still not feeling 100% healed. It hurts at different times, and especially if I'm sitting too long in one spot and if that spot is not level. Anyway, I thought I would give it a try and do TF on Saturday. I did Sculpt 30 and HIIT 25. I believe when I hurt myself 2 1/2 weeks ago, I was doing some HIIT 25 moves, so I was really careful on the jumping stuff. I didn't quite work up a huge sweat, but I got a little. Sunday is my regular Rest Day so I took that. This afternoon, I ... Mon, 18 Oct 2010 18:01:51 EST Walking feels pretty good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3704470 Ok, it's the end of the week and I've had this sore back for a week and a day now. It is better, movement has improved and I should be able to start back on Fire sometime next week if not on Monday. I am excited about that. Three days ago I wanted to go for a short walk, but the crop harvesters were out in full force around our place. The ground is so dry that when they drove past, it looked like white out in the winter except that it was beige out (dusty gravel roads!) so I didn't go for... Sat, 9 Oct 2010 22:17:50 EST Not a Turbo Fire blog. :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3692755 Well, I had a hard time getting out of bed and moving around this morning. So much so that I decided to listen to my body and not do any TF workouts. Instead, I took another hot bath which seemed to help and then I stretched and tried to get my back back into its normal place....didn't quite get it so will try that daily.

I won't do a TF blog until I get back on track. And hopefully, that won't be too long! Mon, 4 Oct 2010 22:33:01 EST Day 6 & 7/Week 10 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3690256 My lower back is still hurting...it got worse yesterday, Day 6 and feels a teeny bit better today, Day 7. I've done stretching both days instead of my Fire classes. (Today is actually Rest Day). Recovery Drink, a hot bath and some meds have helped. I'm *claiming* this pain to go away this week....better tomorrow than later in the week. Sun, 3 Oct 2010 23:18:01 EST Day 5/Week 10 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3685658 Today I woke up and felt fine, but at one point where I bent just a little by my desk, my lower back felt sore. I thought I might have overdid it on the jumping or something yesterday. It got worse as the day wore on. I drank some Recovery Drink and it helped some. I was able to do my scheduled workouts - Tone 30 and HIIT 20, but at only about 80%. I didn't want to possibly hurt myself but I wanted to work out. So I didn't sweat as usual, but I did manage to get hot and get my heart rat... Fri, 1 Oct 2010 20:23:22 EST Day 3 & 4/Week 10 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3683553 Yesterday, Day 3, I did Sculpt 30 and HIIT 25 and today I did Fire 55 EZ (that EZ still gets me...it's NOT EZ!!!). I'm still loving my TF workouts and am so glad that I plan to do a hybrid with it when I'm done with this round. I haven't done HIIT 25 for awhile and forgot that I kinda like it. (20 is my favorite). On 25 we do 4 combos twice each and they're just a bit more complicated than 15 and 20. There's also quite a bit of jumping in it...but as usual, I modify and adjust. :) Thu, 30 Sep 2010 23:29:03 EST Day 2/Week 10 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3677244 Today I met my senior friends for lunch at the Bistro - it's Taco Tuesday. Michelle serves the best mini tacos ever and these ladies (80 and 84) like to go there, as I. So I did the Fire 45 that was scheduled for today but not the Stretch 10. It was a good workout - worked up a sweat and fired me up. The weather is changing and we don't have the heat turned on in our house yet, so it was a cold one this morning. But leave it to Chalene - she knows how to get your heart rate up! O_O
Tue, 28 Sep 2010 14:52:16 EST Day 1/Week 10 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3674870 So today is the first day of Week 10. Can't believe how fast these weeks have gone by. I did what was scheduled - Tone 30 and HIIT 20. Woohoo that made my heart pump! I like being able to hold up my arms and see my bumps lol I like petting my biceps even better :D I'm looking forward to doing CE w/TF and see my bumps without holding up my arms...how's that for a goal?
Mon, 27 Sep 2010 18:07:38 EST Day 7/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3672909 Not too much to say today. It's my regular scheduled Rest day and I had to work my new part time job for 10 hours today. I came home and my sweet husband was cooking dinner for us. He even went to the store and rented a movie. I love that guy!

Week 10 starts tomorrow. Woot! Mon, 27 Sep 2010 00:23:44 EST Day 5 & 6/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3670502 Yesterday I got up early, did TF HIIT 20 but not Sculpt 30 that was also scheduled. I then went to a town's Fall Festival about an hour away with two friends. We had a good time walking around looking at the crafts and enjoying the homemade foods for about 3 hours. On the way out of town we stopped at a cheese factory and picked up some squeaky cheese (actually cheese curds) and if you've ever eaten them fresh, you know how fun it is to eat. I read a description of the sound it makes as t... Sat, 25 Sep 2010 22:43:22 EST Day 4/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3666424 Today was an EZ one...well, the name was Fire 55 EZ, but it wasn't...I don't think it ever will be! Stretch 10 wasn't on the schedule, but I felt the need for it so I did that too. It was a sweaty workout day and I had to take like 3 or 4 breaks. Not sure why, but I was a little lost on a few places. It's all good, I kept moving till I caught up with Chalene and the gang. lol

Woot!
Thu, 23 Sep 2010 23:22:45 EST Day 3/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3662505 Oh Em Gee! I forgot how these little workouts called HIIT could make a girl blush if she didn't like to sweat! HIIT 15 was scheduled today, but I did HIIT 20 instead. My friend from church wants to go to a fall festival an hour away on Friday - early - so I probably won't be doing TF on Friday. Will definitely do a lot of walking tho. She's 80 years old, but like my Mom, you'd never know it! Anyway, thought I'd do a little extra on the workouts today and tomorrow if I could. The other ... Wed, 22 Sep 2010 17:01:39 EST Day 2/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3660175 Today's workout - TF Fire 45 and Stretch 10 was pretty uneventful. It was sweaty and since I haven't done this one for a couple weeks, I was a teeny bit rusty on some of the moves at first. But it came back pretty fast. The 10 minute stretch felt divine! I'm getting excited to be at the end of this round so I can track my results cos I can feel my body is different.
224 Tue, 21 Sep 2010 23:46:51 EST Day 1/Week 9 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3656159 This morning it was Sculpt 30 and HIIT 15. Haven't done a HIIT since Week 4. No wonder I was out of sync! lol These next 3 weeks, 3 out of the 6 weekly workouts a week are HIITs. Getting down to the wire. Bring it!
Mon, 20 Sep 2010 20:32:49 EST Day 3 - 7/Week 8 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3653539 Sorry I've been MIA. Been busy I guess! Last Wednesday, Day 3, I worked an 8 hour Temp job assignment so I took a Rest Day. Today, Day 7 is my regular Rest Day. There isn't any ST scheduled for this Recovery Week, but I was missing my ST, so I did CE Burn 1 and since I don't like *all* of TF Core 20, I chose to do an ab routine I liked - I did RevAbs Mercy Abs. I haven't done RevAbs for a few months so those 15 minutes were pretty killer! I've decided when I do the TF/CE hybrid, I'll be... Sun, 19 Sep 2010 23:16:01 EST Day 2/Week 8 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3639106 I did only the Fire 45 EZ, not the Stretch 10 cos I ran out of time. Doh! It went a little better as far as me doing the moves right, but I also was only half focused. I confess I ate a small bag of Cheetos an hour before my workout and I was feeling kinda lethargic. I had to stop a few times throughout the workout. I haven't failed at my nutrition like that for quite a while. Brain fart.

Tue, 14 Sep 2010 22:49:21 EST Day 1/Week 8 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3634802 This week is called Recovery Week. I had Fire 45 EZ - NOT! - and Stretch 10. I haven't done this Fire since Week 3, so I was a little rusty with it. But wth, I still burned calories cos I kept moving. That's the key! Looks like I have this one 3 times this week...so I should have it perfect by the weekend, huh? lol
Mon, 13 Sep 2010 18:32:33 EST Day 7/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3632209 Today is my regular Rest Day, but I felt like doing something. So after church, the usual breakfast at a local cafe with some family, a motorcycle ride to go see one of our grandsons play on his traveling soccer team, and a stop at the mall for a Bubble Tea smoothie on the way back home, I push mowed for 40 minutes before grilling pork chops and roasting veggies for supper. It was a pretty full day and I liked that!

Oh, and we are done with mowing for a few days at least :D <BR... Mon, 13 Sep 2010 00:09:09 EST Day 6/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3627984 I did Fire 55 EZ today, sweated like I wanted to and burned a ton of calories (hopefully!) so I think I'm outta my funk. For the time being anyway. Gotta get ready for portraits at church and then a wedding reception.

Have a great weekend, ya'll!

Sat, 11 Sep 2010 13:24:33 EST Day 5/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3626255 I found out another friend has cancer so today I was not focused again. I did Core 20 and Stretch 10 so not much sweat involved. I'm not too fond of Core 20, but the stretch felt really good. I like the band work, but not the floor work....crunch stuff has never been my favorite. That's why I liked Hip Hop Abs so well - standing ab work!!

I moped around and didn't get outside to mow before the rain started :( I know cancer is a part of modern life, but it sure sucks and I just... Fri, 10 Sep 2010 20:24:06 EST Day 4/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3623732 I thought it was going to rain today, so I mowed first for an hour and 10 minutes. It felt good with the breeze and NO humidity. Then later this afternoon, I did Fire 45. I was a bit distracted today so I did not give it my all during TF. I felt my left butt cheek and hip hurting when I would turn left....not sure why. Hopefully I will not be feeling that tomorrow and can feel the FIRE instead!

Thu, 9 Sep 2010 23:16:53 EST Day 3/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3620580 I did Scupt 30 and Tone 30 today cos I wanted to do strength training. These workouts with the bands are still pretty impressive to me. I have some nice looking biceps if I say so myself and my wings are slowly becoming muscle. I'm gonna have to start incorporating more tricep exercises. I push mowed for an hour and 15 minutes to get some cardio in. I heard it was going to rain tomorrow...I hope they're wrong so I can mow some more. My back started to feel sore before TF, so I drank Rec... Thu, 9 Sep 2010 00:23:38 EST Days 1 & 2/Week 7 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3616814 Yesterday I played hooky cos we had some things to take care of in the morning and then the afternoon got away with other stuff occupying my time. My bad. :(

I woke up this morning with an ache in my lower back so when I did Fire 55 EZ, I didn't go all out cos I didn't want to hurt myself further. I still worked up a sweat, but just not like other days. The only thing I can think of is that I was throwing the ball a LOT and *hard* on Saturday so the dogs could fetch it at the BB... Tue, 7 Sep 2010 22:51:07 EST Days 6 & 7/Week 6 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3612712 Nothing major to report. I didn't do a TF workout on Saturday cos we had to harvest veggies and then leave for the river. I harvested the garden for an hour. On Sunday I didn't do anything cos it was my Rest Day. I did spend a few hours grocery (and other) shopping in the afternoon.

Mon, 6 Sep 2010 20:10:48 EST Day 5/Week 6 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3604289 Today's Fire 45 was short and sweet compared to yesterday's time. I wanted to do Fire 30 also since I didn't get to do it twice so far this week (per schedule), but I had company coming and figured I needed to clean up instead. If there is time later this afternoon, I will - or make it up tomorrow. Anyway, I was distracted during my workout so I did mess up some of the moves, but it's all good.

Today is very windy out and not too hot. I wonder if it'll be that way this weekend ... Fri, 3 Sep 2010 15:11:04 EST Day 4/Week 6 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3601620 Today I decided to do my scheduled Fire 55 EZ and to make up one of the Fire 30's that I didn't do on Tuesday and Wednesday. I did the 90 minutes all at once, back to back, and man oh man! I was just about whooped....key words being 'just about'. I wasn't gonna let it kick my arse! But I will rest well tonite, I'm sure, let's just put it that way. haha It was another wet tank day :)
Thu, 2 Sep 2010 19:52:08 EST Days 1, 2, 3/Week 6 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3597354 So on Monday I got right back at it with Fire 55 EZ. Yup, it's still kicking my arse. I got a good sweat on with it and I only messed up a little bit on the moves but hey, I was still moving while catching up to Chalene and the rest of the class lol

Yesterday, Day 2, I got up late (catching up sleep from the lack of on the weekend) and since the garden needed weeded badly, I opted to do that first. Well, I ended up doing *only* that (an hour and a half) and not my Sculpt 30 or... Wed, 1 Sep 2010 16:01:14 EST Days 6 & 7/Week 5 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3592901 Nothing interesting here for workouts. I skipped Saturday and made it up later (this week) and Sunday was my Rest Day. The only other exercising I did was dancing at the town's Celebration Friday and Saturday (Day 5 and 6). It was a lot of fun and between not eating enough calories on Friday and dancing, I lost a pound and a half - which was water weight cos it came back by Sunday....less dancing on Saturday nite. I'm back on track this week. Tue, 31 Aug 2010 12:58:34 EST Day 5/Week 5 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3581424 Today I did the same one I did when my little grandson was here last weekend...Fire 45. It brought back smiles when I remembered how he started to slap his knee (one of the moves) and told me to slap mine and how he danced to the cool music! This is one of my faves - along with Fire 30 and Fire 55 EZ. I had drank my protein shake before working out and I was full of energy :D Later I went out and finished the mowing for this week - took me 45 minutes. Now tonite we are going dancing - we... Fri, 27 Aug 2010 19:59:38 EST Day 4/Week 5 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3578444 Today was Fire 30 and Tone 30. It's not humid this week, but these workouts keep me on FIRE!!!! Still can't believe the bands do that. Must be cos I make them resist a LOT haha I did Tone first and was petering a bit toward the end of Fire 30, cos I didn't take my vitamins beforehand. Someday I'll learn to be more consistent in that area. It's just that I got so used to drinking Shakeology that I didn't have to take vitamins. This week I cut back on the Shakeology and haven't gotten in... Thu, 26 Aug 2010 22:04:52 EST Days 3 /Week 5 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3575298 I did Fire 55 EZ today instead of Fire 30 and Tone 30 so I wouldn't have 2 Sculpt days in a row. I loved it and I think today I *almost* kicked ITS butt! lol The moves came a bit easier. :) Oh and yea, I took my Activit Fat Burning vitamin *before* working out and didn't do it after mowing either. Big difference! After a couple hours (of resting) I mowed for an hour. Woohoo!
Wed, 25 Aug 2010 23:40:41 EST Day 1 & 2/Week 5 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3571178 WOW! Yesterday's Fire 55 EZ always just kicks my butt!!! My feet get so sore from all the fast feet moves. I did not jump as high on some of the moves (as I've jumped in the past), but I was still wet with sweat!! Up to this point, none of the weeks were like any other. I looked at the schedule for Weeks 5, 6 and 7 and they're exactly the same. Yippee! I might get a perfect handle on all the moves yet lol The only thing is I need to switch a couple days so I don't have Sculpt and Tone... Tue, 24 Aug 2010 20:45:22 EST Days 5, 6 & 7/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3567062 I skipped Friday's workout - for some reason the lazy bug hit me. It doesn't happen very often, but I didn't get my workout in right away in the a.m., I got to doing other stuff, then my baby girl came home for the weekend from campus (you know how that part goes!) So it didn't happen. Core 20 and Stretch 40 got ignored. On Saturday morning our youngest grandson - he's 2 1/2 - came to stay for the nite, but I was determined to get a workout in so I did Fire 45 and Quinnland worked out wit... Mon, 23 Aug 2010 18:25:44 EST Day 4/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3554579 Yep, today's Fire 55 EZ Class is still not easy (I don't think it ever will be!!). I'm grateful for Chalene stating that you don't have to be perfect in class, you just gotta do it. That was *me* - waving my hand...lol I mean I just think I'm getting the moves down for a combo and then she switches to the left side and I gotta start all over with the brain cells! Geez! I did HIIT 20 before the Fire 55 EZ and felt a bit tired but I had taken some vitamins right before starting my workout ... Thu, 19 Aug 2010 17:26:15 EST Days 3 /Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3552068 I was supposed to do HIIT 20 and Sculpt 30 today and I had plans to mow becos it didn't rain (yay!). But something upset me this morning and it took me awhile to find a solution and get over it. Of course that made me not want to work out. But I finally resolved (to some extent) my issues and did Sculpt 30 and push mowed for an hour. It felt good and I know I should have started sooner and I would have gotten the HIIT workout in - and I'll do IT tomorrow - but I just *couldn't* get past m... Wed, 18 Aug 2010 23:14:08 EST Day 2/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3548529 Today's workout was short and sweet, but intense. It was HIIT 20 and Stretch 10 and I'm still a bit off on some of the jumping combos, but I kept bouncing my tail so I'm still sweating and burning the calories lol The extended stretching feels so wonderful after all is said and done. I was going to mow for about an hour or so afterward, but it started gently raining so I decided to quick pick up some veggies from the garden to make a salad and some salsa instead.

I didn't quite ... Tue, 17 Aug 2010 22:57:09 EST RESTART: Day 1/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3543037 I'm back! It's Monday and I'm restarting Week 4 today - just finished TF Fire 45 and Stretch 10. Altho I was a little lagging in some of the moves - like a beat behind - it felt awesome to push play again, sweat and burn some FIRE calories! It's a beautiful day and NOT raining, so I'm going to mow for about an hour. We just finished mowing the whole lawn on Saturday (except a portion in one of the ditches), but it's time to start over again so it doesn't get away from us. I think it's su... Mon, 16 Aug 2010 14:17:42 EST Days 5, 6 and 7/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3534198 Well, the best laid plans.....didn't pan out. My baby girl has been home for a couple weeks from campus where she worked for 8 weeks in research for the summer. School starts up in about 11 days (her last year at the University). She is also getting married next summer. I homeschooled her till she went to public high school so we are very close and sometimes I let her wrap me around her little finger (shock!!) lol So we've been doing things that is not my normal routine when she's away ... Fri, 13 Aug 2010 15:51:59 EST Days 1 - 4/Week 4 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3520281 Week 4 started out good when I got up and worked out - did HIIT 20 cos it was quick but not the scheduled workout - before going to work on Friday; but I then skipped Day 2 and didn't make it up. I went wedding dress shopping (etc.) instead - it was tax free weekend in Iowa. Took my Rest Day on Sunday and today is Day 4. I did the scheduled Sculpt 30 and HIIT 15. I tell ya, the 15 minute one is the shortest, but I still don't have the moves down - it's the most difficult for me to follow.... Tue, 10 Aug 2010 00:04:57 EST Days 6 and 7/Week 3 Turbo Fire http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3507864 So today is the last day of Week 3 and the workouts are STILL not easy - I'm glad! Yesterday, Day 6 - I had too much going on and didn't do a TF workout so I counted it as a Rest Day. I have a Temp job assignment today and tomorrow so I woke up and did Fire 30 (instead of Fire 55 EZ which was scheduled) and it sure felt good to get it done first thing in the morning. I was energized for the rest of the day and was so glad I didn't have to worry about getting it done AFTER work. I was a bi... Thu, 5 Aug 2010 22:27:06 EST
