The boss is ordering lunch in double ugh. It's going to be unhealthy. I packed my snacks. I have my water bottle. I'm going to stop by somewhere on the way in on my walk and grab a kale salad. I need to eat before this meeting so I keep my blood sugar stable. I get emotional when I have low blood sugar. That's code for I get hangry. I don't need that in this meeting. Mon, 19 Jun 2017 08:04:19 EST 500 calories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6376243 2 years ago my husband gave me an Apple Watch for Mother's Day. I love it, it's great. I set the activity goal for something I thought I could achieve like 400 calories. Over time the watch lets you see when you are consistently hitting the goal. Every week you get a chance to reset it. Over time I've raised it 10 calories at a time. I'm going to say 460 for some reason was hard for me and I stayed at 460 and 470 for a long long time. I'm now at 500 calories and weekends are my worst days. I ... Sat, 17 Jun 2017 10:44:24 EST 100th Blog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6375702 Today I'd walked 2 miles to Whole Foods to get my vitamins and probiotics. I burned 672 calories, my husband took me to dinner, and I still had a 332 calorie deficite. Thu, 15 Jun 2017 22:59:16 EST June 14, 2017 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6375192 I got a 4 mile walk in before the blazing sun popped over the tops of the houses and trees. So I've done my exercise for today. I'm feeling so much better now that I've lost a few pounds. During the wedding/audit convergence I actually got so bloated and gained weight I was at my highest weight ever. At one point, I topped out at 199 lbs. That was not even the low point. The low point came last weekend. After spending 14 hours in a car on Wednesday, picking the audit team up in the heart of ... Wed, 14 Jun 2017 18:18:15 EST June 13, 2017 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6374821 I have been trying to really watch my calories for the last few weeks. I've been eating more protein which was initially difficult but I'm getting used to it. Tomorrow I am taking the day off to take my mom to the doctor. Over the last two weeks we had a giant weddding and I finished a federal program review. Someone said that you shouldn't do things to lose weight that you aren't willing to do for a lifetime. So now I need to figure that out. Tue, 13 Jun 2017 21:36:36 EST HALLELUJAH! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6372700 A year of audits are so over. The reviewers tell me that we will likely have another one on a specific topic but whatever. I'm currently nursing a headache from a combination of stress and bad food. I need a nap and a walk and some ibuprofen.

Thu, 8 Jun 2017 21:35:16 EST April 18 ahhhhhhhhhhh spring http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6349759 Still working on blasted audits. I feel the end is near. They are running out of stuff to review. Took extra time for exercise this morning. Ride my bike and walked to work on the river walk. It's open all the way to riverside plaza. I have to wal3 blocks to get to it so I have to walk 3 blocks to get off of it. Many people use it as a walking path. I felt accomplished this morning. Mon, 17 Apr 2017 14:18:04 EST Where did March go? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6335344 I've had several showers to attend this month. The first was a diet disaster on par with the Fat Tuesday nightmare. The shower yesterday had veggie wraps! Which were freaking awesome.

Despite the 2 big days of not being reasonable with my diet, the rest of the month has gone relatively well. Oh, I forgot about Pi Day. I went and bought my husband and I a slice of our favorite pies at the local pie shop. He got oreo and I got French apple with the crumby topping.

Earl... They had kumquats and golden berries on sale. We grabbed a container of each. We ate them plain along with strawberries, raspberries and blackberries on Saturday. They are not your friendly fruits. Kumquats are of Chinese origin. You eat kumquats with the peel. It's like eating the worst dried out orange or tangerine of your life. Today I cut them and put them in a salad. Better but wow. I just met an interim goal and had to set a new one. I could not pick a number. Shoul I pick 7, 11, 9? I don't like round numbers, the first days of months or last for that matter. There is nothing magic about 180 or March 1. They are just numbers on a scale and days in a life. I need ... Sun, 8 Jan 2017 19:54:17 EST January 7 Roasted Rutabaga Wedges http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6293521 My daughter's last evening home from college. She made her veggie pizza topped with spinach, arugula and lemon juice. I contributed a side dish of roasted rutabaga wedges. It was all delicious. Rutabagas were a nice change from fried. Our new addition to the party was nutritional yeast added to the pizza in the place of cheese. I took her to Costco, Aldis and Whole Foods to stock up her pantry and freezer. I purchased chili oil, brown rice some small packages of other grains, miss, tempeh, ta...
