VIVIENDOPARAHOY's SparkPeople Blog VIVIENDOPARAHOY's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Jillian Michaels Short blog. I survived my first full session of Jillian Michael's workout! 244 Never in a million years did I think I could do it! Mon, 7 Jan 2013 15:26:39 EST 2012 in the rear view mirror. 2012 was a good year for me! I remember thinking this time next year, I hope I'm in the 100s (done)! I hope to be off diabetes medication (done)! I hope to be off all hypertension medicine (half-way done, still on one). I hope to be in at least a size 14 (done, I'm in a 12). I have to give thanks to the Lord for my family's love, for allowing me to have gastric bypass surgery (in 09/11), my health and being able to exercise and move my body the way I want, for my job, a roof over a my he... Mon, 31 Dec 2012 00:22:19 EST whoo, I had to take a breather...... So about a month ago, I declared that I was at maintenance and was satisfied with my weight. I was wearing a size 14 jeans and large or extra large shirt, but really I wasn't satisfied. I was still considered to be class I obesity by the BMI charts. What I really needed was a breather. I have been dieting consistently for about 1.5 years. I took 2 weeks off, loosely counted calories and maintained my exercise. I ate what I wanted, but of course not too much because of my gastric bypass ... Mon, 22 Oct 2012 20:28:35 EST I've met my goal! I can't believe it! I'm finally in maintenance. I've heard this is the hardest part of weight loss, so I think I'll stick with 4-6 days a week, 1-2 hours a day working out and see how my weight stabilizes. Spark says I can eat 1890-2240 calories a day for maintenance. Seems like a lot to eat. I plan to continue to work on my endurance. I hope to become a personal trainer. I would like to work with the morbidly obese. I like "Biggest Loser" but I feel some of the exercises they have th... Wed, 12 Sep 2012 21:02:29 EST When you don't feel like working out, what motivates you? There are some days where I don't feel like working out or I feel like stopping in the middle of my workout. Music is my main motivation. I usually listen to Michael Jackson's music because he is my favorite artist and a lot of his songs are fast. Usually once I start working out I forget all about that I don't feel like working out, BUT some days I need extra motivation. On those occasions I usually listen to "Bad" over and over again until I feel that I am bad enough and nothing can't s... Wed, 4 Apr 2012 18:45:25 EST 13 more pounds! Just 13 more pounds, I will be in onederland! I can't even remember that last time I was 100 anything. I'm sure I was in high school! I felt like I was never going to get out of the 220s. I lost 1 pound one week, nothing the next, gained 3 pounds, and then lost those 3 the next, then lost 0.8 pounds. Then boom! I lost 8 pounds! Persistence, persistence. Just keep doing all the right things and you'll get there. Plus if you are a woman, there are times in the month, the scale will dri... Tue, 27 Mar 2012 21:07:22 EST Yeah! Short and sweet blog.

I'm finally to a level of fitness, where I can jog in intervals on the treadmill! I look forward to the day when I can enter a marathon! Its coming! 244 Wed, 14 Mar 2012 19:31:43 EST Thank you Leslie Sansone. Today, I did Leslie's 4 big miles which use to kill me......I'd feel exhausted instead of energized after that workout, but today I did it all (the jogging and strength training) and felt energized afterwards like I could have done 2 more miles.

Thank you Leslie for making me strong! Thu, 1 Mar 2012 18:25:13 EST Gastric bypass saved my health! Got the official word from my physician on Monday that I don't have to take diabetes medicine anymore (I unofficially stopped in December because my sugars were dropping into the 40s) and he has cut 1 of 2 hypertension medications! My A1C is 5 and my cholesterol is 135!

Gastric bypass saved my life, literally! Shout out to my surgeon Dr. Kevin Hoddinott . 304 Oh and shout out to Leslie Sansone you make exercise easy and fun! Tue, 21 Feb 2012 21:29:58 EST I've come a long way baby! At the beginning of my weight loss journey, I wore a size 30/32 or even sometimes 32/34 at my heaviest (372 pounds). I now wear a size 18 in bottoms, extra large in tops and a size 16 in dresses! I know that is still large, but I am ecstatic over my progress! I love shopping and trying on clothes now! My ultimate goal is a size 10 or 12. Can't wait! Fri, 17 Feb 2012 21:26:58 EST
