I wanted to be a comfortable size 12.....well I'm happy to report I am a comfortable size 6. My ultimate goal WAS to lose 50 lbs......I've exceeded my goal by losing 60 lbs. I have changed my BMI from 31 (OBESE) to 22.9 (HEALTHY)

Woohoo... Just a cold, but she has a show choir performance coming up on Saturday , so we really want her to get better, so I kept her home.

Well, every cloud does have a silver lining because it did give me more exercise time. 60 minutes on the hoop non stop today. Thu, 19 Apr 2012 17:13:58 EST Hooping it Up! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4833734 Not such a bad day for a Friday the 13th.

Super quiet at work, so I decided to take the afternoon off for ME! Started my workout immediately - alternating with hooping and the Wii Dance. I'm really working up a sweat! Yes, the "bruiser" hoop has been returned and I'm now using a much nicer one that I found @ Wal-mart for half the price. 2.5 lbs. made by Danskin Now. I've already used it for 30 minutes today and I don't feel like I've gone a few rounds with Mohammed Ali. Not sure h... Fri, 13 Apr 2012 16:41:49 EST ten pounds.......GONE!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4696566 So exciting. I got on the scale 192 this morning and I've lsot 10.6 lbs so far since starting on WW. 224

We also have health assessments coming up this week @ work. Our health insurance premiums are actually increasing, but our employer has decided to pay the premium increase if we go through a health assessment (also free of charge). Anyone would be foolish not to go through the free assessment. I am actually looking forward to it. I know I'm overweigh... Sun, 22 Jan 2012 10:09:46 EST Feeling Good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4681690 Started doing following Weight Watchers with a good friend / co-worker on Dec. 8, 2011. Took a break during the busy, hectic holiday with all the holiday baking, out of town visitors, and our end of the year inventory. Very proud of myself because I got back on the scale January 1 and managed to maintain. I didn't even gain an ounce! Now I am focused and tracking my food (in my WW journal, not on SP) again and exercising regularlly.

As of today, I have lost 8.4 lbs. 244... Sun, 15 Jan 2012 09:43:06 EST w/o 11/14 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3796003 Still loving my 3 day work weeks and making good use of them. 60 minute workouts Th-Su, rest M-W. Finally saw a doctor about my shoulder (sore for 2-3 months). I figured with winter coming soon, if I can't shovel snow, I'd better have a doctor's excuse or my hubby will just think I don't want to help shovel. :-) 444

Turns out I've got tendonitis, so he referred me for therapy. Had therapy Friday and already it is feeling a little better. No weights for a while, but ... Sat, 20 Nov 2010 14:30:19 EST Time for Workouts! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3779306 I'm loving my 3 day work-weeks! Work M-W, time for workouts Th-Su. Its awesome being able to find an uninterrupted hour to do the elliptical. It won't last forever though. Mid-Dec its back to reality.

Fri, 12 Nov 2010 11:04:52 EST I'm Doing It!!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3746764 I am so proud of myself. I have been dedicated to getting on the elliptical trainer almost every day. I don't like sacrificing dinner time with my husband and daughter, but I know I have to. Its really the only time I can find just for ME.

Yesterday I accidently put my jeans in the dryer, but when I tried to put them on, not only did they still fit, I actually had room to breathe!

Today, just for the heck of it, I pulled out a pair pants I knew were too small or so I ... Thu, 28 Oct 2010 16:24:06 EST Injury got me down? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2524345 I can't allow another injury to get me down, so I'm going to try to work around it. This in jury isn't workout related. It was a grocery cart accident. Ashley insisted on pushing the cart. Well.....let's just say that 9 year olds tend to get distracted easily and pushed the cart right up over the back of my foot, creating a HUGE bruise on the heel. Right or wrong, I'm going to attempt a barefoot workout - at least weight training, stretching, and light cardio. Nothing on a treadmill, el... Sun, 1 Nov 2009 11:30:43 EST It's a Miracle! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2506729 224

My husband actually noticed I'm losing weight, by saying it was a significant difference. For once he didn't cancel out this compliment with a negative comment such as "but you've got a long way to go".

Sun, 25 Oct 2009 14:24:16 EST Half way to January Goal http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2498944 I'm patting myself on the back today for staying the course. Even after being side-lined nearly a week due to a knee injury, I still lost weight this week.

Short-term goal - January 2010 - lost 20 lbs. Today's wegh-in I was down 10 pounds.

I feel great!

250 Thu, 22 Oct 2009 08:54:27 EST Eating Out http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2496106 Skinny people don't understand that eating out while trying to lose weight is a challenge. I know what foods are healthier for me, but even though you "ask" them to prepare it without butter or oil, etc, how do you really know that they have? You may be eating a lot of calories that you thought had been omitted. Wed, 21 Oct 2009 08:55:35 EST sleep http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2487238 Argh!!!! I won a Wii game (Personal Trainer) from a local radio station contest. Only one BIG problem. I don't have a Wii console yet. But I expect that Santa Claus will bring one for my daughter this year. I can't wait until I can finally use it!

I have to do some research now to find out what games will give us good work-outs.

266 Fri, 16 Oct 2009 22:58:40 EST Support System Needed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2468044 Why is it so hard for my husband to support and motivate me to lose weight? I was within 10 lbs of my goal weight about a year ago. Over the past 12 months, the weight started creeping back on a pound at a time. Before I knew it, I was within 5 pounds of where I started! For several months, I have been trying to get re-motivated. I would start with the exercise, but it always seemed that something would happen and I would stop. I got sick, too many aches & pains, too much stress at work... Sat, 10 Oct 2009 12:28:23 EST Woo Hoo! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2453290 It is such an awesome feeling to actually see the numbers on the scale dropping for a change. I actually look forward to "weigh day". Down 5 lbs since my re-beginning Sept. 26th.

224 Mon, 5 Oct 2009 08:56:56 EST Tired of Winter http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1928255 This has been a long and frustrating winter. Seems the only exercise I've really gotten has been shoveling snow. Granted, there has been a lot of snow to shovel, but I know it hasn't been enough, I've been frustrated because everytime I've gotten started back into the exercise routine, I've gotten sick. Nothing major, just enough to make me feel crappy and zap my energy. Mon, 30 Mar 2009 23:01:43 EST Trying to deal with grief http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1461213 This is a very difficult time for me. A good friend and co-worker of 16 1/2 years took his own life over the weekend. He had his share of problems, but no one saw it coming. He was the type of person who was always helping others. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was always there to encourage me not to give up on my goals. .His wife had struggled with her weight for years, so he knew what I was going through. It angers me that he never reached out for help ... Tue, 16 Sep 2008 00:02:34 EST Oops! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1392074 Didn't realize until I posted my food yesterday that I made a big OOPS! 18
Throughout the day I somehow managed to munch on about 1/2 cup of one of my absolute favorite treats - Peanut Butter M & M's. Boy, talk about a wasted 460 calories. Granted, i was still under my calorie allotment for the day, but still............. I "could" have eaten a peanut butter granola bar AND a chocolate Honey maid 100 calorie Delight bar, satisfied my craving for chocolate and peanut butter ... I invested in a Nautilus Elliptical trainer and made a goal to use it a MINIMUM of 20 minutes per day. Most days I'm on 22 minutes, but today I exercised both in the morning and this evening for a total of 44 minutes. My weekly exercise goal is 1510 calories. My weekly total was 2,227! 198

After just a week, my husband actually made a comment that he has noticed my legs are slimming down. 224 Sat, 2 Aug 2008 21:46:58 EST Ready To Start Again! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1355966 Due to a tremendous amount of stress I've been back-sliding recently. I took a break from "dieting" and SP, but now I'm back and ready to git r' done!

I bought an ellipitical trainer which was delivered yesterday and I see my nutritionist again today. I'll be on vacation now until Monday, but there is a fitness room at the motel and I "know" what I should and shouldn't eat, so I think I'll be okay. 249 Thu, 24 Jul 2008 08:55:20 EST Stressed Out http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1185502 24
I am getting totally stressed out - at work and at home. Something has got to give and I can't allow it to be me. I have to figure out a way to manage my stress level without sacrificing my workouts. So far I have not been doing a good job.

During the day, my eating is under control. I pack my lunch and fruits and veggies for snacks, but when I get home as I'm in the kitchen preparing dinner, I continually reach for the snacks. Just one or two to tide me o... Sun, 4 May 2008 09:28:15 EST Still Determined http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=859858 Well, here I am. A year had passed since I first decided to change my life forever. To date I have lost about 42 lbs. Although I have been maintaining the same weight for the past two months, I would still like to lose another 10 lbs. I have had a hard time staying focused and motivated, but I think my profile picture helps put things in perspective for me. The next time I look in a mirror and still see that "big girl" I once was, I'm going to look at this picture so I can see how far I ... I lost 14.2 lbs!... Sun, 17 Jun 2007 15:50:13 EST
