Today is 12/31/12 and I weighed in at 173.8. This is the lowest I've weighed in my adult life EVER. Period. Since before 18. That was almost 20 years ago. I'm so sad that I allowed myself to be that overweight for that long. I've lost so many good times, but it's okay, because I am succeeding now.

Word is there is a SWAT school in January 2014.... Without going into too much detail, I've had child custody issues and a failing relationship. I've become depressed, I cannot sleep, I have not exercised and I am falling apart.

Today, I think, I've nailed down why I am losing it.

During my child custody issue, I had a goal, and I achieved it. Tue, 29 Jan 2013 18:42:36 EST The Food Demon Inside Me http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5215421 I went to the doctor last year for a check-up (and I think I have a particularly great doc). He asked me about my diet and I told him I feel like there is a demon inside me making me eat. I reworded the statement pretty quickly, because I realize it sounded crazy. And still does. He nodded, but the look on his face lead me to believe he really didn't understand.

See, I do feel like there is something inside of me. If I lose a pound, bonus - but the goal is NOT to GAIN!

I did this for Thanksgiving week and somehow rocked a 5.2 lb loss. I'm not sure how that happened, but the challenge is on for this week!

Now for Operation Drop 3 Sacks of Potatoes:

I started at 208.8 - lost sack one (8.8 lbs), sack two was 10 lbs and... Mon, 20 Dec 2010 06:40:27 EST Christmas Party Today: I Need A Plan!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3851833 Okay, I had to quickly blog. I wasn't feeling motivated this morning, until I got on the scale and saw 191. Now, my goal for the end of the year is 190. It's not my lowest weight (I dipped to 188 at some point in the last year), but it will keep me from having a net gain for the year - I'll break even.

So, I have a work Christmas party today and I'm glad I weighed in "good." I know the scale shouldn't be my motivator, but had I not seen that loss, I may have gone to this party "bli... What's better than vegis? They are like "free" calorie foods!!

A salad is a staple to my day. I eat a HUGE salad for lunch and I'm not hungry for hours. It makes all the difference in my day. So here's a picture of it, and the calorie content for the nay-sayers of the HUGE salad:

<img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.... Tue, 7 Dec 2010 10:15:20 EST December Goals!! Set!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3827521 This last week I have been eating out of my "diet" plan. In other words, like a "normal" person. I need to get back on the scale tomorrow, but hopefully I haven't damaged too much.

My goals for December are this:

To get to 190 lbs (and hopefully I'm still 192-194)
To get an average of 30 mins of activity a day, with a minimum of 4 workout days.
To work arms & abs twice a week and address my legs during cardio by biking or running twice a week.

Tha... Apparently, I weighed in at the exact right moment, because I had a little drop...you know...a little. That would be a 5.2 lb loss.

I'm still on track for 45 min of activity (on average) every day this month. See you on December 1st for December goals and challenges!!!!
... Sun, 28 Nov 2010 06:30:57 EST Have a food plan for tomorrow!! Make it today!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3803116 I believe it's important to mentally prepare yourself to face something that is challenging for you. For me, food is a challenge, especially if it's layed out buffet style. I put a lot of thought into what I am going to eat on Thanksgiving. If not, I'll eat a full plate of food, get some seconds, and then help myself to a sliver of each type of pie (with whipped cream), and probably top that off with some coffee with cream.

So, here's my plan:
Breakfast:
Healthy - maybe a... I'm doing really well with my eating and exercise this week.

The first sack was 208.8 - 200 (done) ...sack two is in progress. I'll weigh in again on Sunday.

I encourage everyone to set a short term goal for the remainder of November. Just think how easy it will be to stick to! Only 12 days left in the month!!!
... Thu, 18 Nov 2010 21:37:52 EST Special Math and Holiday Gains http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3786521 Well, the holidays are upon us! Every year around this time, I always go on a "diet." (Really, I just tighten up my regular eating plan.) It's from Thanksgiving through New Year's. I find that when I am actively watching my intake, I don't gain. I actually tend to lose a few pounds. If I don't diet, I will gain HORRIBLY. I have a problem with overeating. So eating issues + holiday cookies + great food in massive amounts = HUGE gain.

So, this leads to what I call holiday weight spec... My family and friends were there. There was a reception, but things were so hectic, I didn't get to enjoy it.
