I wiped down all the cupboards and woodwork. Cleaned and sanitized the sink and ceramic floor. The washing machine quit on me this past weekend, but the repairman found a sock in the system that was blocking the water pump. So now the machine works like new and I am busy washing load after load of blankets right now. <BR> <BR> It feels good to have a clean laundry room and I have to work to keep it that way. The room isn't really very big and we ... Tue, 17 Jul 2012 12:56:01 EST Cleaned out the fridge and cupboards! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4960258 It felt good to get rid of all the old, expired, and unhealthy foods! I threw out two full garbage bags! There really wasn't much to donate - sadly, we had a lot of expired foods and wasted money in our cupboards. But's that gone now and we can start fresh! There are a still a few not-so-healthy foods lurking, but I'm in a better mind-set now to use them in more healthy ways. We had been on vacation recently and there really wasn't much in the fridge anyway. It felt good to toss out the old. ... Sun, 8 Jul 2012 09:30:48 EST Wow - watch out for Wendy's! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4958581 So I needed to stop for fast food this evening with my son. We stopped at Wendy's and I thought I was making relatively healthy choices. I had no idea that a small chocolate Frosty was so high in calories!!! It was 99 degrees and felt like 108 with the humidity and a dew point of 75 so I wanted something to cool me down. But wow - that was not worth it! It was 300 calories. I ordered two different chicken wraps - one was decent and the other was way higher in calories, etc. I didn't find any ... I was very good about my eating and tracking until supper time. I ate some leftovers from Ihop and I'm quite certain that filled my quota of fat for the day. I probably ate too much at dinner, but I am not throwing in the towel on my day. I finished my water for the day and have resisted the urge to snack this evening. Tomorrow's another day - and I'm looking forward to doing some more exercise! I know my eating won't be perf... Fri, 8 Jul 2011 22:54:46 EST measurements to remember http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2717380 32" <BR> 38" Fri, 8 Jan 2010 23:15:49 EST I got to the gym today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2537335 I finally made it to the gym for a real workout. I haven't been there in a looong time. I felt slightly sluggish and really out of shape. BUT, I am being patient with myself so that I can remain consistant. We all have to start somewhere, right? I don't like the somewhere I'm starting, but that's not as important as the place I'm going on this journey! One day at a time... Thu, 5 Nov 2009 14:54:57 EST blogging http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2534837 I didn't realize that my blog entries would end up on my team pages. Neat feature - and I guess that makes it easier for others to read and support you. Last night I fell off the wagon (hard) but so far so good today with my food tracking! Wed, 4 Nov 2009 17:45:46 EST afternoon snacking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2531756 I got myself through the afternoon bewitching hour - when I just want to sit and open a bag of something and snack away. I was chilly, so I got up and made a single cup of hot cocoa. It may have been a cup of empty calories, but it satisfied my need to consume, gave me a quick little chocolate fix, the warmth soothed me - and it was only 120 calories. It's certainly not going to ruin my tracking for today. I am holding myself accountable - and I am just so happy I didn't bust into that big bo... Tue, 3 Nov 2009 17:01:09 EST
