Often I had stared at my heart rate monitor wondering when it would stop telling me I am obese! Well today it said at a BMI of 28.5 I am overweight! Funny thing to be celebrating right? But it took a huge step to get there. In all honesty I can't remember ever seeing that so I will take it and celebrate it to the max! As much as I loved some of these clothes I didn't want to have clothes I could grow into any more! I tried on everything and donated everything that didn't fit. I was left with only 1/3 of my clothes! I was thankful to find a few pair of pants and dresses I haven't worn since before having my last two kids. That was ten years ago. I responded by suggesting we go get a costume forHalloween. He loved that idea. So while he picked out a custume I was realizing the adult sizes went up to size 12. I nervously picked on out thinking will this fit! Got home tried it on and it did! YES! YES! YES! At an 18 when I started I could have never been able to walk into the drug store and find a costume! Such a great way to reduce stress which fights cortisol levels that result in added weight gain. Not to mention it shuts out the noise of my constant thinking allowing for a deeper rest.
