Thu, 31 May 2012 00:37:28 EST Starting Over http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4903639 I feel like I am starting my life over, or at least hitting a partial reset button. I have moved all the way across the country. I know no one here but my fiance (He asked me, I said yes), I don't have a job and I am trying to buy furniture for our new apartment. So yes, my life has drastically changed. Not to mention I gained 6 of the 15 pounds I lost back. Thankfully, it wasn't all of it.

So, I am back at 191. Only 2 more months of it. I am so happy that I didn't let the stress get to me, I didn't even think about snacking or grabbing some coffee when everything hit the fan. On top of that, I went for a walk during my lunch to clear my head and get back into the game.

The walk was needed. IT got me out of the office and into the sunshine. Tue, 6 Mar 2012 20:19:14 EST Step by Step http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4772686 So far I am still on track and life is good. I couldn't get out of bed this morning, my legs were aching, like I had a round of charlie horses, but I didn't. It was really weird. I need the WOD included Fran and I wanted to be at my best, so I went back to bed and elevated my legs. The rest of the morning at work, I was making excuses about why I should just take it easy today. I did bring my gym back with me, saying I might go.

I ended up hitting Fran on my lunch break when ACF wa... I am back on track and even keeping track of my food. Everything just feels like it is falling into place and I am bringing everything I have learned so far from the challenge together in this one month. That means I have made it to the halfway point. Yay! It has been an interesting 45 days. At some points I want to quit, at others I do really well. Yesterday, I made a PR. It was a 95lb 1 rep thruster. It was awesome. Now, I want to break a 100lbs. Crossfit wise I am doing pretty good. There is a competition on March 31st, and I am thinking of seeing if I can find a partner. I think it might be fun.

Diet wise I am at 80%, 36 out of 45... I am doing great, I am still crossfitting, getting stronger and eating better.

On friday with the green band I did 9 pull ups. Today, I did another 9. I won’t know how I did for 6-8 weeks so I am not worrying about it. Or at least I try not to. Since, then life has been hectic. I had to head back to Bing to visit family since I hadn’t been back since I started studying. Then my car decided it didn’t like me, and needed to get fixed. So, I had to ride my bike to work for a few days, and I decided to get a little sick.

Monday, I make it to Crossfit. I had a great workout. Tuesday, I d... Tonight was day 2 of the beginner class of Crossfit, and it was intense. We learned some new exercises and practice alot of form with deadlifts, front squat, and presses. Wed, 21 Sep 2011 20:45:13 EST Day 1 - an intro to crossfit http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4494838 So yesterday was an interesting day. As many of you know I have been looking for a cheaper option for strength training then the personal training that I currently do. So, last night I started a beginner Crossfit class. The variety of people there was so awesome, guys girls, older younger ect. In the beginning it was just a class, he gave a basic overview of Crossfit, then we went over 4 or 5 basic exercises that they use, doing them multiple time until we started to understand the form. You turned yourself around yesterday with exercise. You got in what you needed to, to make your burn goal for the the week. You have a plan to get into enough time. Then you do something like eat pizza at work when you packed a lunch. Yes, the pizza was free, and it sucked.

You did not need to eat it. Not at all. Not 5 slices. I got thing done and am moving towards my goals, crossing stuff off my list.

The weather sucked today and I didn't get a run during lunch. So, I went running after dinner, once the rain stopped. So, I got my run in and finished week 4 of the couch to 5k. So, what did I do during lunch? If you don't know, I do taxes and we have a hard deadline tomorrow. So the last couple of weeks have been stressful to say the least. My studying for my test had basically stopped, and while I have been staying in my calorie range I haven't been eating health. A single slice of pizza for lunch isn't really health, but I could fit it into my day.

So, now the big thing is to get back on track. Thankfully, I kept up with exercising. I did... I ate a decent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I stayed within my calorie range and got to the gym. I did 30 minutes of cardio and some basic strength training. So, at least I did get to focus on health a little today.

Work was hectic. Its that time of year. I stayed late and have to go in tomorrow. I bought a pair of jeans at the end of July that did not fit. They were too small, I could button them but not sit down. Today, I randomly decided to try them on to see how I was doing. I figured that by mid September they would fit which would be awesome. Yet, I slide them on and they fit perfectly. Talk about an awesome surprise that I wasn't even thinking would be possible yet.

So, that is my awesome news from the weekend. Sun, 28 Aug 2011 21:13:50 EST Crossfit, Eye Candy and the Big One Zero http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4446095 Gotta Love Wednesdays… The last couple of days have been interesting. Tuesday I ran during lunch, did a few ST exercises and hit the elliptical. Today, I went to Crossfit and did a simple workout in 2:15. Yep, it was timed and I had to do 3 Rounds of 15 kettleball swings, and 3 burpees. It wasn’t bad. It totally made me sweat like crazy after the fact. I like the guy I spoke to, he seemed really in to fitness and everyone who was there either at a class or a trainer was freaking eye candy. <... Wed, 24 Aug 2011 14:39:51 EST Monkey Wrench http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4442254 I have had a couple of interesting days. On Saturday I got an email from my trainer who let me know that he is no longer going to be working at the gym that I go to. He got a different job offer and is moving in a different direction with his career. I am totally happy for him, but at the same time, a monkey wrench was tossed at me. Let me get this straight I loved my trainer, he was awesome, and totally worth the price, although it was adding up.

Before Saturday, I was thinking o... Thu, 18 Aug 2011 15:55:33 EST Ups and Downs. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4432203 Last week, I wasn’t doing so good. I just couldn’t seem to bring myself to do anything. My fitness goal of 1500 minutes seemed to extreme, heck getting off the couch and getting 10 minutes seemed really hard. Thursday I crashed and burned. I didn’t eat well, and I skipped the gym. I changed in my workout gear at work then drove right by and went home. It was not a good day for me. Friday went a little better but not by much. I forced myself to go for a 20 minute walk before I got in the car a... Wed, 17 Aug 2011 09:33:35 EST Weekend fun. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4414057 I will say that this weekend was very interesting and unplanned. Friday afternoon I get a text from my SO, basically saying that we are going camping that night and going to Six Flags on Saturday. SO, I head out of work early to get a new bathing suit and pack our camping gear which was thankfully on our back porch. So yeah, Friday night I went camping which was so much fun. Wed, 3 Aug 2011 20:12:31 EST Looking back and rolling forward… http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4399803 July was a good month. I lose 7 pounds, exercised for 1185 minutes, and lost at least an inch around my waist. More importantly, I made my health a bigger priority then it currently was. Before I joined sparkpeople, I was trying to lose weight, you know get down to a better size. I was working out twice a week with a trainer and eye balling my food. Now, I am hitting the gym four times a week. Twice to work out with a trainer, then additional cardio on those days, plus an additional two days ... I was very happy this morning. One month down, 7ish pounds down. Next up August. Now, I just gotta figure out what I want to accomplish in August. I am going to be heading to the lake, for a few days. I am at 190 now, so I am going to aim for below 186. I think I can do a pound a week. On the same note the edema in my feet has almost gone away. Today I was totally rocking the slippers and my right foot didn't swell at all. My left only a little bit. My upper thigh isn't bruised but if I move it wrong thats what it feel like. I can walk fine, and the elliptical doesn't bother me. Yet, if I try to get on all fours my left thighs hurt wicked bad. Tue, 26 Jul 2011 22:06:46 EST Last week Challenge Time. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4385880 There is a single week left in the month. That means there is a single week until my weigh in, my goal is to be under 190. I know I can do it, I am almost there already. The fact that each weigh in for me the scale is moving in the right direction is a good thing. The better thing is having a co-worker tell me that they can tell I am losing weight. Or buying raspberries on my lunch break because they are healthy and good for me, instead of skittles or chocolate covered espresso beans. Yeah, t... Mon, 25 Jul 2011 20:18:38 EST Relaxation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4381587 I think I am finally understanding that it is okay to take a day off to relax and regroup. I have been going all at it for the last couple of weeks and was starting to feel rundown. I feel alot better now. I stayed on track with my eating, keeping on my lower end for calories, since I didn't exercise. It doesn't help that today was hot yet again. It was suppose to cool down to 80 but that didn't happen. Overall, it was a good day. Tomorrow is going to be busy. I am going to precook some meals... I did really well considering the heat. I haven't had dinner yet but everything else has been healthy. I really need to get back into my normal route of eggs for breakfast, sandwich and veggies for lunch, and something simple for dinner. I totally gotta go shopping to pick some stuff up. I usually plan my weeks a week out so I know what I am eating. I don't log them until I eat or pack it but I like knowing what I am going to eat for the week... Then for dinner we went to this Mexican place I have been dying to go to. It was freaking awesome. I got the fajitas with beef but it mostly had veggies. It was so good, and I brought half of it home. Unfortunately, I had no idea how to track that. I found some items for the chili's and used that. Wh... I went to my strength training session with my trainer and things we going good. Then we did calf curls and my feet started to swell. I rode 8 miles today on my bike. I also spent a ton of time playing Fable 2 and I finally beat the game. Today was basically a day of rest for me. Saturday was suppose to be it, but it didn't turn out that way. I still did my best to watch what I ate today and I did okay. It is alot harder on the weekend to follow my own guidelines that I set.

The scale moved a tiny bit, not as much as I would like for this week, but it at least is going in the right direc... Sun, 17 Jul 2011 22:23:01 EST On my bike again...48 miles racked up. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4367258 Woah, it has been an intense start of the weekend. Friday night I met up with a lady cycling group and we went on a 28 miles ride. It was a pretty slow pace but an awesome ride. Talk about burning some calories. We left at 8:45 pm and I didn't get back until 1:30 in the morning. Then I rode out to the farmers market this morning, which is about 9 miles round trip. It was a good start to the morning.

For the rest of the day I relaxed, rehydrate, and played some video games. Then we ... Sat, 16 Jul 2011 23:11:01 EST Hungry Hungry Hippos http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4363086 Today was one of those days... You know when you wake up hungry... One of those days used to be a all you can eat days. I would eat whatever I wanted to breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a snack or two. Or eat a meal out.

Today I didn't.

Instead, I added some cheese and turkey to my homemade egg sandwich for breakfast. I still ate my yogurt for my morning snack, and a luna bar for my afternoon snack. Lunch was veggie soup that had a little chicken in it. When I got home,... Thu, 14 Jul 2011 18:57:13 EST One Weird Day, but an Awesome Week. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4360995 Today was just one weird day for me. I was just frustrated for no reason for most of the day, it was like everything was just wrong for some reason. Not to mention the day seemed to last forever. I had to drag myself to the gym to meet with my trainer, and the only reason I went was because I would have had to pay for it either way. Thank god I went.

After my session, I was back to normal and energetic. I jumped on the elliptical for 35 minutes and was just happy. My mood just sky ... Wed, 13 Jul 2011 19:56:19 EST The Why of the What... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4358645 Today I was thinking about why I want to lose the 50 pounds. The why is alot harder to think about then what I want to do. I know I should lose the weight, every time I head into the doctors office my doctor mentions it. My father has high blood pressure and all that. My brother has diabetes that he has to take shots for. Not to mention the fact that my feet swell and the doctors are still running tests to figure it out. Those are all good reason, but are they really why I am trying to get r... Tue, 12 Jul 2011 19:23:47 EST Easier http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4356519 This is kind of weird, today seemed to be easier. From picking good foods, to logging them to getting on my bike. Waking up wasn't but it was a Monday morning. I was awake at work and wanted to accomplish things. I couldn't wait to get out of work so I could ride my bike to strength training then ride to meet up with a few friends.

It all just seemed a little easier.

It was nice. I am on day 6, almost a week and I am just surprised. One of the first things I did once I g... Mon, 11 Jul 2011 21:38:09 EST July is the beginning http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4353413 First things first the scale this morning was awesome. My weight bounces between a three pound range and today it was the lowest it has been in ages. A nice even 194 was great to see. I try to only weigh myself on Sundays and Wednesdays. That number has been rattling around in my head all day and I couldn't help but notice that there are three weeks left in July. So, I decided that my first short term goal is that by July 31st I want to be a nice 190. Now, it can be a 190.something as long as... Sun, 10 Jul 2011 16:29:39 EST Don't underestimate the things that I will do http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4352202 "Don't under estimate the things that I will do
There's a fire starting in my heart
Reaching a fever pitch and it's bring me out the dark"

Today was a good day. I started it out with a 45 minute walk. I decided it might be a good idea to try and jog a bit. It didn't turn out to be such a good idea. I have been having some problems with my ankles, and I sure felt that jogging in my right one. So, no more jogging for awhile. Still, I am doing pretty good with the walking, s... Sat, 9 Jul 2011 22:59:38 EST Year of Fitness - Number 23 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4350266 Yay today is my birthday. I am officially 23 and the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I like basis my goals around my birthday, not around the calender year. I am making the goal that on my next birthday I am going to weigh alot less. My goal is 50 pounds less.

Today has been an awesome day. I slept in, and took a nice 2 mile way. I shaved 5 minutes off the time it usually take me, so that put me in a great mood. I also got to go on a nice bike ride for 45 minutes. The weath... Fri, 8 Jul 2011 21:05:43 EST
