Do better about actually staying within my calorie range. - (I have also done better about eating less calories, but still have some days that are higher. I may need to make my goal to eat a little less than i have been eating because I have not lost weight consis... Tue, 28 Oct 2014 00:42:49 EST BLC26 Expectations My expectations for BLC is to get myself back on track in a few areas.
1. Track my food each day.
2. Do better about actually staying within my calorie range.
3. Exercise again, to meet the streaker requirements I would like to exercise 20 minutes a day
5 times a week.
4. Lose 12lbs total over the challenge working towards my overall goal of losing 33lbs,
My husband and I are planning to take a cruise in April 2015 to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. I would ... Mon, 22 Sep 2014 23:50:45 EST Stop Holiday Gain Plan Well, I must admit part of me doesn't really want to do anything to stop the holiday gain. I just want to eat all the holiday food and not have to worry about it. Plus it has been hard already to make the time to exercise. However, thinking about it more here is my plan.

My plan is to try to maintain through the holidays by just enjoying a little of the treats and trying not to overeat them. I will try to keep logging my food in the food tracker as much as possible though I mus... Tue, 17 Dec 2013 00:30:20 EST BLC 23 - Week one focus & challenge goals My goals for BLC23
Overall goal is to lose 1lb a week for a total of 12lbs.
My reward for meeting this goal I think will be either a manicure or a new pair of jeans.

Weekly commitments
Steps - shoot for 10,000 steps a minimum of 4 days a week (I have been tracking these with a fitbit and an omron pedometer, but currently need to replace battery in omron pedometer)
Water - 8 cups daily
Cardio - 90 minutes a week (30 min - 3 times a week - Leslie Sansone 30 d... Tue, 24 Sep 2013 23:13:12 EST Updating goals Today I have been updating my weight loss & fitness goals. I have not been losing much weight since I restarted trying to lose weight after baby #4. I think partly because I have not made the decision to be disciplined with my food. I have been exercising, but should probably do more. Today I worked on updating my spark people & fitbit plans.
I just found out that spark people now will adjust my calorie range based on my activity for the day. I am trying this method out & I think th... Wed, 4 Sep 2013 22:50:00 EST BLC22 review and missing motivation It is hard to believe we are halfway through the biggest loser challenge and I have only lost .6lbs. I have been doing some things good throughout the challenge and then there are some areas that need work.
I have been pretty faithful about logging my food most days and I have increased the amount of exercise that I do.
Areas that still need work.
I probably need to eat less calories as I am usually at the top of my range or over a little bit. My range may also need adjuste... Tue, 23 Jul 2013 00:42:00 EST Fruits & Vegetables needed daily According to the CDC (Center for disease control and prevention) based on my age
2 cups fruit (possibly only 1 1/2 if my activity level is less than 30 min a day)
2.5 cups vegetables

What counts as a cup?
One cup refers to a common measuring cup (the kind used in recipes). In general, 1 cup of raw or cooked vegetables or 100% vegetable juice, or 2 cups of raw leafy greens can be considered as 1 cup from the vegetable group. One cup of fruit or 100% fruit juice, or ½ ... Thu, 20 Jun 2013 00:18:48 EST BLC22 Starting Goals My overall weight loss goal for this challenge is 18lbs for a new weight of 136. I will have to work hard to achieve this goal since this is losing 1.5lbs per week and looking back over my previous times of losing weight I only lost an average of .8lbs per week.

I plan to track my food and work on eating healthier. I typically don't eat very healthy. I only like a few fruits and vegetables and they are not my 1st choice when picking out something to eat. I need to work on bette... Tue, 11 Jun 2013 09:02:08 EST Back from Vacation, now I need to get back to updating spark people I had a nice week at the lake for vacation. I had a nice time with my family, however, I hardly ever exercised and I ate a bunch of junk food. Now I really need to get back into the habit of exercising and logging my food. The only problem is I am really lacking motivation right now. Hopefully I will feel more motivated tom. to track everything. I did just open and set up my new pedometer. I did not receive it until after I had left for vacation, so I wasn't able to use it while I was go... Mon, 11 Jul 2011 23:06:03 EST Friday - July 1st Well this morning I finished up my packing and tried to print off some cards on the computer. I finally gave up on the cards because I think I needed a new ink cartridge. I tried a new one and it didn't work, so I gave up on the cards. I will just have to buy them instead of creating them on the computer for the family birthday party this week. After lunch I drove with the 3 kids the 2 hour drive to my parents house to spend the week with my Mom's side of the family. It is an annual fami... Fri, 1 Jul 2011 23:24:11 EST Getting ready for Lake Week Today I didn't do very well with my diet and exercise. I spent a good part of the day packing for our week away, I also unpacked a container of my summer clothes though most of them won't fit until I lose some more weight. After unpacking the container I repacked it with maternity clothes. At least I finally can put that container away. It has been sitting out awhile. I think I am also mostly packed for my trip which for me is really good. Hopefully I will actually hit the road right a... Thu, 30 Jun 2011 23:56:45 EST Over 10,000 steps for 3 days, can I keep it up Well I finally have walked over 10K steps for 3 days in a row. Now the challenge is to keep it up. It seems quite hard for me to get in this many steps. I have to take 1 to 2 walks or do a walk and a walking video usually to get this many steps in. I just don't always have that much time to exercise while taking care of the 3 kids. The kids have been going on some of the walks with me, but that often makes the walks take longer. This is ok except is is not as aerobic and I don't get as ... Wed, 29 Jun 2011 23:08:53 EST Today I exercised instead of taking a nap Well today I exercised during my kids naptime/quiet time instead of taking a nap with them which is what I am normally wanting to do. For some reason, I just can't keep my eyes open during the day. However, late in the evening I seem to wake up. Plus the baby sleeps better if I sleep with him, so I often just take a nap also. Anyway, tonight I was not going to be home in the evening, so I did my workout video during the afternoon. I felt good about getting it done. The only problem was ... Tue, 28 Jun 2011 22:58:22 EST Finally got over 10,000 steps. I revived my pedometer again this morning by taking the battery out and putting it back in. The pedometer seems to be working fairly well, though possibly still missing some steps. I did finally get over 10,000 steps by taking 2 different walks today. I also did a 10 minute solution video today. Mon, 27 Jun 2011 23:52:30 EST Does my pedometer really work? Ok, so right now I am feeling very frustrated with my pedometer. Tonight as I was pacing with my baby trying to get him to go to sleep I realized it was not counting all the steps. Then a little bit later I looked at it and it is flashing the battery sign. I just replaced the battery at the beginning of the week so I could use it for the survivor challenge. I had not been using it and I think this is the reason why. I can't afford to replace the battery every single week. I really like t... Sun, 26 Jun 2011 23:56:24 EST My 1st blog - the survivor challenge This is my first blog ever. I have been on spark people since the beginning of April. I like tracking my food and fitness, though I think I sometimes end up spending too much time on this site reading other people's comments and trying to earn spark points. I like doing these things, but I also have a bunch of stuff that should be getting done around the house. I should be working on my finances and updating our budget and I also am trying to use coupons more and need to get them cut out.... Thu, 23 Jun 2011 11:45:12 EST
