My emotions were all over the place. I didn't track my food intake and working out was sketchy, so it was with huge trepidation that I got on the scale today.....

I have lost 9 pounds!! Ok, my tape measure and old jeans tell me the scale is lying through its LCD teeth, but I'll take the numbers, thank you.

I had a major fall-out with the scale a couple of months back where I had actually gained 8 pounds or so, so these 9 pound... Sat, 6 Dec 2008 13:29:24 EST 21 November 2008 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1578424 I know I posted yesterday, but I'm pretty chuffed with myself. I have completed my quota of water now for the 3rd day running (for me, that is a biggie). Keeping up with it will be the challenge.

Cardio calorie burn total: 360 << To me, this is approximate... 45 minutes of interval power walking / strength / resistance band workouts.
Daily cardio calorie burn goal: 244

Calories eaten: 1565 (including a massive amount of oil popped popcorn)
Daily calorie goal: 1... Sat, 22 Nov 2008 12:42:09 EST 20 November 2008 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1578421 I know it has been a while since I posted. I guess I felt I had nothing positive to say. On the other hand, the only one who could change that was me.

I have finally activated my fitness and calorie tracker in Sparkpeople. It is tough, as I have to research most of the things I eat (these Americans are pretty limited *chuckles*). Why can't they list the things I eat? Am I that odd?

Anyhow... I noted down all I consumed, a total of around 1200 calories (bearing in mind, i... Sat, 22 Nov 2008 12:41:35 EST A little sore http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=906934 I had minor surgery today. It was a pretty tiring day with 2 bus trips and a metro just to get to the hospital I had been assigned to. The surgery site is burning and aching and I'm not much into jumping around right now. I'll see how I feel tomorrow... no aerobics, I think. If its comfortable enough, I'll do some strength training. Squats are always good too ; )

I did make my beads.... 1 bead for every kilogram. The bead string is so short!! I can do this! Tue, 8 Jan 2008 22:17:59 EST Beads! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=898811 I like the idea. I love beads as it is. I am going to do two strings of beads. One with kilos I need to lose and another with kilo's I've lost (may make the second one pounds, so it looks better). There's a plan!

Oh... and I just spoke to Tat. Tomorrow, we will time our walk to the village... and then see if we can improve that time. Perhaps we should look into taking different routes... a tougher walk from the bottom of the hill on (marginally) cooler days. I'll give that some th... Sun, 6 Jan 2008 20:33:04 EST I have no idea.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=891764 This site still confuses me. I am inspired by the success stories, this one in particular:
http://www.sparkpeople.com/community/suc
cess_story.asp?ID=18
She's a mom like me and what struck me is the roller skates. Odd, yes. Yesterday, Tat and I were talking about how we were going to be more active and she said that when we move to a place where the roads were walkable/runnable/rideable, she planned to teach me to rollerblade - so this highlighted success story struck home, as i...
