We only had three of our girls (that are not leaders' daughters) with their mother (sister in one case, mother is in a wheelchair) and one of our teen volunteers show up for the tea party. This ended up being the perfect amount of people to have a wonderfully intimate gathering. We had Rowan and her mother, Katie (who is in a wheelchair) and her sister, Karasi and her mother and three younger siblings; we also had my sister/co-leader and her daughter, anoth... Tue, 20 May 2014 12:53:46 EST This weekend's upcoming events http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5689806 Last weekend was full of house cleaning, this coming weekend is just full of activities! My husband is riding down to see his step-mother (who just lost her mother and is not doing too well herself) with his brother on their motorcycles. Hubby made a deal with the oldest daughter, who is 13 and taller than my mother, that if she does well this week (no fighting with me, her sisters, helps when asked) that she can go with them. This will be her first long-distance (about 150 miles) ride on the... Wed, 7 May 2014 12:54:56 EST Glamping with Girl Scouts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5667440 This past weekend was so much fun! The troop went to Camp Chowenwaw for a Glamping weekend. It was originally supposed to be for Cadettes and Juniors in the entire Service Unit, but of course nobody else signed up. So, we did it ourselves.

We arrived Friday night, had sandwiches for dinner. Saturday morning was a lazy day, we had cereal and fruit for breakfast. Lunch was sandwiches and then we went on a stroll and played on the playground. We met an international meditation group, ... Tue, 8 Apr 2014 14:10:22 EST The Biggest Loser at Work http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5666627 Ok, so there are so many of us in my department that want to lose weight, so we decided to make it fun! With some suggestions from the ladies here, I put together a Biggest Loser of sorts. We put in $1 today (the first day) to get weighed. Then, every week thereafter, we will weigh and if we do not lose, we pay $1. If we lose, we are fine, we do not have to pay. If we gain, however, we have to pay $1 per pound. Hopefully, this will be the motivation I need! Some buddies here pushing each othe... Mon, 7 Apr 2014 15:16:30 EST How not to do it... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5636015 I received this in my mail box this morning. I need to forward this to my friend, this describes her to a "T"! She had a revelation, not necessarily on January 1st, and started her diet. She works out for an hour or two in the morning, jogs a couple of miles afterwards. Then, before she goes and gets her daughter she works out again, sometimes with her daughter as well. This was every day! Her meals are planned out perfectly via one of her apps. One meal was 6oz of tuna fish, a teaspoon of ma... Fri, 28 Feb 2014 11:17:24 EST Update to the Halloween blog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5592266 So, I was the devil this year, didn't win best costume. However, we did win for office decorating! We had a graveyard and spiderwebs all over the place. We did have a table set up with Halloween goblets sitting on a Halloween tablecloth. Too cute! We won a cute trophy, all decked out with Halloween items, and filled with candy!

Also, we won best Christmas tree. We did a cowgirl snowman tree. It was adorable, and it took us a couple of weeks to perfect. We won lunch. We have to up o... Mon, 13 Jan 2014 11:21:54 EST Craziness http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5592242 There has been so much going on here lately. I really don't know how much God thinks I can handle, but enough is enough!

Hubby is resisting my pleas to get him into the doctor's office. He needs a physical, to stop smoking, to lose weight, check cholesterol and sugar, you know the works! Plus, he's got the horrible cough that smokers have, but I think a lot worse.

Oldest daughter has been crazy! She's been mean to her sisters, was Baker Acted because she told someone sh... Mon, 13 Jan 2014 11:10:04 EST Bad Girl! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5527771 Soooo slipped last week! I was going to really try and lose some weight while hubby was gone. Nope! Didn't happen. Kids were good the first couple of days without daddy, then, Ms Hyde came around (and her two sisters, Mini Hyde and Midi Hyde) and mommy totally lost her sh!t! Had a couple of drinks, pizza, didn't give a crap about doing any type of exercise, just get me through the freaking week until we went to pick him up.

It's better this week. The girls haven't fought as much. ... Wed, 30 Oct 2013 21:18:26 EST Heading to the farm! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5516542 Tomorrow night, we make the trek to Georgia to the farm! Hunting season is well underway, with bow season and primitive weapons done, now it's time for the guns hubby totes. With any luck, while hubby is hunting, we will be in town doing a bit of shopping. After that is done, we will come back to the farm and do a little bit around the homestead. I have ideas running through my head about a shelving system under the fifth-wheel portion of our camper using pallets and wooden boards. We'll see ... Thu, 17 Oct 2013 23:22:30 EST Fall Camping Trip http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5513719 Our camping trip was, for the most part, AWESOME! Our 533 bound friend, Katie, had so much fun on her first camping trip. She has muscular dystrophy, and her mother was a little apprehensive about sending her daughter out into the wilderness. But, she helped cook, clean up, went on a 295 hike, went on a snipe hunt, played a little practical joke on me ("wouldn't it be funny if we tricked Mrs Tamika into thinking the snipe got me").

The meals were almost compl... Mon, 14 Oct 2013 23:02:18 EST Update on the Girl Scouts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5496402 We have 18 girls registered in our troop! There are 14 girls in the fourth and fifth grade, three girls in the sixth and seventh, and a girl in the tenth. I still have to talk with our SUM to see HOW we will work that out! Originally, we were 4/5 grades. Then, one of our girls bridged to the next level, mom didn't want to split the siblings up for meetings, so we added 6/7/8 grades. My oldest is in the seventh, so that worked out. We then got another fifth grader, who brought her older sister... Wed, 25 Sep 2013 23:20:41 EST A Little Bit Depressed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5496391 But not so depressed as to stop eating or stuff my face with every Nutty Buddy bar in the house.

Unfortunately, I have been slipping in my workouts. I have to get back into it slowly because of my hernia and asthma, but damn I think I've gotten a bit too slow. I have been doing a bit of strength training or cardio (not both) for most of the days of the week plus stretching. I have been eating better, and adding supplements where my nutrition is lacking. BUT, the lack of support fro... Wed, 25 Sep 2013 22:53:33 EST Back from the farm http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5486343 Went to the family's property in Georgia Friday, just got back a couple of hours ago. Usually, the guys are working hard on the property during the summer to prepare for hunting season and the winter, this weekend was no different. While I was going to the store with my father in law, hubby and the three girls were out chopping up the last of the trees they cut down the other week. Then, hubby took the tractor across to the farmhouse and hared up the ground underneath the pecan orchard. The g... Sun, 15 Sep 2013 15:36:29 EST The Past Week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5473528 In the past week, we were quite a bit more active than we have been. Today, we walked and picnicked at Sheffield Regional Park. "Redneck-swimming-hole-turned-city-park", Sheffield has fishing, boating (non-motored-craft), and lots of hiking. They have basketball and football, too. There is a 2.6 mile hiking trail around the big lake. The Girl Scout troop has been meeting there on Thursdays to walk around together, the "Girl Scout Troop 1223/1240 Fitness Club". The girls will be earning one or... Mon, 2 Sep 2013 13:08:39 EST Back to Girl Scouts Event http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5466037 Yesterday I went WAAAY off my diet! The good thing is, with all of the walking around I did, I probably broke even. BUT, hot dogs for lunch along with a little piece of monkey bread and then a large plate of rice for dinner really didn't make it a good "diet day". Today was a little better, I even had enough room for a sweet snack!

Today was a semi-productive day. Went out to the shed I am putting all of my Girl Scout stuff and started organizing. With my oldest daughter. I feel s... Sun, 25 Aug 2013 19:46:44 EST I'm Back (Again) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5463989 Well, I finally have a workout buddy to help keep me motivated. Other than my children, of course, who love to workout with me, there is a beloved co-leader of mine, Lori, who is on her way to a better lifestyle overall. She quit smoking, joined a gym, and started eating healthier all in the same week! Completely transforming her life! Soooo, we are walking in our newly-formed "Girl Scouts Troop 1223 Fitness Club" that meets every Thursday, and I've been invited to workout any time at her gym... Fri, 23 Aug 2013 11:34:13 EST The Way The Weekend Went http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5100364 Ok, so I walked out. I had it, I could not take it any longer. So, I told the "old boss" that I got the job and they wanted me ready to start Tuesday, after getting all the results back. She told me that this was unacceptable and I was to stay on until the following Monday so I could train the new girl. Wait, what? You're the office manager, right? You fired me, but didn't, you told me that I was unhealthy and I needed to find another job (then told the other girls that you and I couldn't sta... Mon, 15 Oct 2012 19:18:28 EST I GOT THE JOB!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5096193 335 I got the jo-ob, I got the jo-ob! 339
Peed yesterday, drug test results and background screening results will be back next week, and I'm starting out at 50cents less than what I'm making now. Why should I care? I'll take more than that less than what I make now just to get out of this hell that I've been working in for the past 7.5 years! Besides, the commute will be much quicker, take about 30 minutes off the time each way (plus the associated gas money). Plu... Fri, 12 Oct 2012 09:05:57 EST Last weekend's events http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5083566 The Girl Scouts had their Beach Clean Up on Saturday. Of course, it was more like beach-pick-up-a-few-things-then-go-to-Burg
er-King-day but it was fun. The girls did not complain (well, one did, but it was really hot), everyone had gloves and water bottles, picked up a bit of trash (almost a kitchen garbage bag full of stuff in an hour's time), and went off to BK. The original idea was a treat of ice cream cones, but one of the moms ended up buying everyone burgers and nuggets so they'd h... Tue, 2 Oct 2012 10:05:44 EST The Secret to Quick Weight Loss (not for children's eyes) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5082896 A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program.. The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, you can have me.' Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally give... Mon, 1 Oct 2012 21:16:47 EST Still Trying http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5072802 Trying to find a new job, that is. Seriously, I've had a couple of call-backs but nothing's panned out yet. Oh, well, I'm just thankful that I have a supportive husband and family 41

Ok, so the step-son is officially moved in to our house. Yeppers, got another body to pick up after lol. It's not too bad, though, so far. He's been looking for a job and so far picking up after himself. Eh, we'll see how this goes...

The next two weekends are crazy busy. Saturday... Mon, 24 Sep 2012 11:18:48 EST The Interview http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5046358 Well, it wasn't so much an interview than application session. The interviewer works for a medical staffing company. They hire temporary to permanent positions only. That means I would be working for them at the client company for a period of time then be hired on full time. Which, if she finds a job for me before I do myself, it will be fine. It's a job, and I'm out of that company. Which, I have no idea why I have gone into work these past two days. Monday was a holiday. Tuesday and today w... Wed, 5 Sep 2012 22:54:09 EST Just when you thought nothing else can happen...(watch the language) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5041726 Life really surprises you, doesn't it? I have an already jam-packed life, and now I have to add in job hunting. I got fired on Friday. Because I'm fat. That pretty much sums it up, but here's the long story...

Back goes out a couple of weeks ago, gets a little better, then Thursday BAM! (and not in the good way). I can't get out of bed. So, I call in sick. It's a slow day, and the office manager should be able to cover, right? I mean, after all she does get paid salary for working ... Sun, 2 Sep 2012 22:20:59 EST Registration Night/Middle School Open House (pity-party-turned-woohoo-moment--you have been warned!) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5035385 I really need more of me! Ended up #%&&$# up everything I touched tonight. Ok, so maybe that's my depression/OCD/perfectionism kicking in. Anyway, left work a bit early so I could make copies for Registration Night. Copies done, get gas, run a little late getting kids from school.

Get to the elementary school about ten 'til six, sign them out, run to give the copies to my sister/co-leader/treasurer/whatever-in-the
-hell-else-big-sister-wants-her-to-do who is taking over for me b... Tue, 28 Aug 2012 22:41:26 EST Ugh! Really? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5026196 Ok, so my back is hurting. I pulled something like two weeks ago, starts getting better, then my dumb ass hurts it again. Not by doing anything bad, just by doing too much of the little things. Like dishes or shampooing the rug where the dog puked. Now, my hernia is acting up, most likely because of the back pain. Ok, so the binder doesn't work because I have a huge stomach and it's this tiny piece of elastic fabric. I have to find something, but I have to wait until the weekend to get it <e... Wed, 22 Aug 2012 10:53:45 EST Orientation Tonight! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5018138 Tonight's orientation night at the elementary school that two of my daughters still attend. Not only am I going to meet the teachers. Well, meet one, the other daughter has a teacher that I loved that was my oldest's 4th grade teacher 334

We are also going to try recruiting Girl Scouts! I have uniforms from Daisy tunic through Junior vest. All are going to be proudly on display tonight, with the girls that earned them there to tell a little about what they did to earn t... I will have to post more later, but here's th jist:

Oldest daughter just got back from her special needs summer camp (Camp Boggy Creek, they do wonderful things!) I received an email from the camp saying that one of the campers had to leave early because she received her NEW KIDNEY!!!! 244

School starts in a week and a half, we've been shopping the 10 cents sale at a... Thu, 9 Aug 2012 15:03:03 EST So Busy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4966016 I have been so busy here lately. And, then again, it seems that I get nothing done! My house is a mess, I have to finish planning three field trips and the beginning of the year. I love being a GS leader, but it is so much work! Thank God I only have one troop to do this year. I have four wonderful women to take over the Daisies and Brownies, I have the Juniors :) My sister is the financial and Cookie part of the Juniors, and hopefully I will have a third person to help us out (sisters are no... Wed, 11 Jul 2012 19:30:18 EST Busy Weekend! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4946873 This weekend is our Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony! So excited, and glad the Tropical Storm is gone! Yep, another month, another TS. Debby's her name, she came and went, and Florida has more water than we need! Bridges washed out, roads washed out, houses flooded out. The wind wasn't bad this time, it was the rain.
Anyway, back to the weekend. Bridging Ceremony at the park, it has a really nice bridge going over this small creek. Going to make a bridge cake (though I have no idea how it's ... Thu, 28 Jun 2012 21:51:05 EST Guten Morgen http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4932685 Good Morning, everyone! So, apparently I REALLY have been SLACKIN' 'cuz I haven't blogged in like three weeks!! That is just craziness, and it has to stop, it just has to! I've been on here and posted a few things here and there, but not really any time to do much.

Well, let's see, what has gone on since last time...my fifth grade daughter is now a sixth grader! She graduated on the fifth. She was one out of 87 kids who started the school out back in 2006, and completed every year ... Tue, 19 Jun 2012 08:08:30 EST TS Beryl http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4901140 She made landfall about 12:10 this morning. Brought lots of wind and rain. About22,000 (5%ish of all Jax) without power, we aren't part of that statistic. Power flickered quite a bit, though. All Memorial Day activities and Jazz Festival activities were cancelled. Bathtubs and kitchen sink filled with water, "just in case". Flashlights checked. Charcoal sitting by the door so we can still cook. Thank God nothing was needed!

On a lighter note, our SeaWorld trip went off without a h... Mon, 28 May 2012 11:56:53 EST Prayers Answered http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4891023 Ok, so I know this might be a little premature to post for everyone to see. My husband went to fill out an application for a new job (his current employer does not have work for hubby to do and we cannot live without his income!) So hubby gets a call this morning and he got the job! It is a former employer that has always told hubby that if he needed a job, there would be a job waiting for him. Thank God, because I was really depressed (see yesterday's blog) and was going crazy trying to figu... Mon, 21 May 2012 10:31:00 EST Another Two Weeks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4889537 Wow, I've been a busy woman lately! I have been posting a bit on SP but just not really any time to blog! Yikes!
Ok, so an update. Mother's Day was great, the entire weekend my girls made breakfast in bed, complete with coffee (which I rarely drink lol), eggs, and a cookie for dessert lol. Got lots of cards with lots of glitter (glitter all over my house!) No money to do much of anything else, and with middle daughter strep positive, we didn't go to my mom's house like we had planned. We... Sun, 20 May 2012 09:50:12 EST It's been two weeks! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4875664 I can't believe it's been that long since I've blogged! I guess it's because in that time, I was planning our Girl Scout camping trip to Camp Chowenwaw!
The trip was SUPER FUN! Friday, was a cluster*BLEEP* because pretty much all parents came whenever the hell they wanted. But, that was ok. Most of them came by the 7pm mealtime. The last mom did not show up until 9pm! Of course, we had "teenagers" sharing our camp space. They had the other cabin that we didn't need. Bad idea! Smoking and... Thu, 10 May 2012 14:20:07 EST Catching up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4850632 This weekend was so packed, I haven't been able to do much on SparkPeople! Saturday was the field trip to Build A Bear. Yep, that was about it, nothing else was accomplished lol.

Sunday was housecleaning and grocery shopping. Monday was work and Girl Scouts, today was work and Alexis's play at school. She was a crocodile :)

Now, to work on the grocery list for the camp-out in ten days. We know the menu, now to make a precise list 'cuz the girls are going shopping Monday... Tue, 24 Apr 2012 21:34:06 EST Happy Sunday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4835770 Ok, so maybe it's still really early to say that. But, I am looking forward to today. So much cleaning to do (as always in this house lol) and already off to a good start on my calories. Now, if I can stop sneez......achoooo!
After cleaning the house, off to the van. The kids washed the van yesterday, without fighting (yeah, I know, crazy, right) because they were also playing in the waterhose lol. They used washing the van as an excuse to go play in the water. Today, they need to clean ... Sun, 15 Apr 2012 09:38:44 EST YIKES! It's been over a week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4826625 I can't believe the time has flown by so fast. I didn't get to do much on SparkPeople last week, with craziness at work, busy Girl Scouts, Easter, car issues. Ugh, my head is still spinning!
Ok, so girly beside me here at work is all about CrossFit. I am in no way, shape, or form going to try that anytime soon (hernia is the biggest reason). But, since it's like such a big fad right now, I wanted to see what anyone thinks about it. Have you tried it, know anyone who has, etc. If not, hav... Mon, 9 Apr 2012 09:05:13 EST Getting Through This Week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4810282 Ok, so these next two weeks are not so great. In the past two years, we have lost so many people during this time frame (extend another year and add one more person). My grandmother was in February three years ago, but her funeral was postponed to Good Friday because of her wishes to be an organ donor. Two years ago, my mother-in-law died on the day after my husband's birthday, then my grandfather died on Easter. Then, last year, my husband's grandfather died on his (my husband's) birthday, a... Thu, 29 Mar 2012 08:52:50 EST Staying Good in a World Full of Evil http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4796459 Food, that is...I am almost finished with Girl Scout Cookies, and now we have coupons at work for free food. Free Chick Fil A chicken sandwich with purchase of waffle fries and a drink, and another for one free twelve count nugget with purchase of one twelve count. Well, my plan was to buy the twelve count and get the second free, eat six per day with a salad. Yeah, right! Best laid plans...

Soooo, back to the old drawing board. Tue, 20 Mar 2012 09:29:05 EST OMG Girl Scout Cookies! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4789382 Someone shoot me if I volunteer to be Cookie Mom again! It's bad enough that I am leader of two troops, and then add the stress of Cookie Manager? Holy cow! I have personally bought two cases of cookies, they are taking up valuable space in my small living room, and I have nightmares about not being able to pay our cookie bill! If we didn't have to participate in GS sales to be able to make money, I wouldn't do it! We'd just do car washes and spaghetti dinners. Most people don't realize just ... Thu, 15 Mar 2012 16:49:59 EST Long Week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4767145 I just realized it was Friday. I have been so incredibly busy with work and Girl Scout Cookies. I haven't put in any food or exercise. Not that I've done much exercising, though. Still trying to keep the calories in check.

Tomorrow, hubby picks up his son from the train depot. He is spending the week with us. Well, the weekend will be down in Daytona, then I will come home and they will stay down there until Thursday. We will spend Thursday and Friday with him, then he goes home S... Fri, 2 Mar 2012 12:20:40 EST Raining again! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4752004 But, the rain is a good thing. It's only February and we're already four inches below the normal rainfall. So, no walking for me tonight. Again. Oh, well, off to find something On Demand to workout to! Wed, 22 Feb 2012 20:02:44 EST Rainy Friday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4743575 I have a case of the blah's. Just hoping this weekend will be just what is needed to get me out of the slump. I'm going to be cleaning this weekend, not much else to do when it's supposed to be raining all the time. Hopefully, I can stay well enough to actually clean what needs to be done. I really feel something "coming on", though.

On a better note, we are slated to go to Daytona in about two weeks. My husband and I, his step-father, and his son. We were supposed to be going for ... Fri, 17 Feb 2012 14:32:54 EST A Beef With SparkTrivia http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4731014 So, I took the trivia for today, this was one of my questions:

How many calories does a single gram of alcohol contain?
1 calorie 3 calories 4 calories 7 calories 9 calories 0 calories
So, I picked 9 calories. Then, it says I got it wrong, with this explanation:

Explanation
One gram of fat contains 9 calories, but alcohol is not a nutrient because it cannot be used in the body to promote growth, maintenance, or repair. It is a toxin that is broken do... Thu, 9 Feb 2012 16:55:21 EST The Birthday Party http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4713163 I did it! I lost two whole pounds this past weekend, thank you very much! Even when it was my daughter's birthday party. AAANNNDD I had junk on Sunday lol. I did eat cake and chips and three whole meals, and stayed (almost) under my calorie limit! Okay, so I went over by like two calories, so it wasn't technically over. Besides, we went for a hike at the National Park we were at, Fort Caroline National Monument. Smack in the middle of the Timucuan Preserve on the St John's River, there is a r... Mon, 30 Jan 2012 21:22:57 EST Oh, boy, here I go! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4705305 So today I just made the short-term goals that I hope I can stick by. Ready? First, I want to lose 20 pounds by Bike Week. Since I have gained most of the weight that I lost last year back, that would bring me down to 214, by March 9th. Then, I want to be at least down to 200 by my anniversary, April 29th. Twenty pounds might be a little much to lose in the next 5 weeks, but at least I want to be close. Now, I'm off to do a little exercise at work before the boss gets back lol. Thu, 26 Jan 2012 13:26:41 EST Fat Girl and the Laziness Bug http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4699092 Ok, has it really been two weeks since last blog? I guess so. Well, I can't really say I've been busy (oh, hell, who'm I kidding, I have been busy). And, lazy at the same time. How can this be, you ask? Well, besides keeping the house clean (enough) and working, and of course, Girl Scouts, I've generally been lazy. No yard work, no Spring Cleaning, no working out. (And after the other night, I found out I REALLY have to work out my legs, but the reason is TMFI).

I've also gotten la... Mon, 23 Jan 2012 13:49:41 EST Science Project is Almost Over! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4670804 Finally! Last thing is printing out the pictures, typing up the project, and making the backboard. Of course, I am talking about my fifth-grader's science project that is due next Tuesday. She will be doing the work herself, but I have to make her. Which is, I think, harder than actually doing the project. I think this child is going to be a botanist. Her fourth-grade science project was "With Which Liquids Can Plants Grow?" This year, is "Which Liquids Kill Mold?" Her being a botanist is com... Tue, 10 Jan 2012 09:21:02 EST Seriously? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4659176 I have to get back into the swing of things again. I have been off of SparkPeople (and my diet) since later August. My husband injured himself at work. Rotator messed up, clavicle messed up, and, the piece de resistance, he tore his bicep right off of his arm! Physical therapy, orthopedic surgeon (Dr Kaplan is awesome!) and finally, surgery in early December. Still a long way to go in recovery. Doctor says at least another two to three months. So much for him riding his Kawasaki at Bike Week ... Thu, 5 Jan 2012 10:18:08 EST Updates http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4416269 Lots of stuff has gone on since my last post! Had the first official meeting of Girl Scout leaders. Setting everything up for the new year :) Our first meeting as a troop will be the second Monday of school. Right now, I'm busy preparing the calendar for at least the first couple of meetings.

All the girls got their hair cut. The oldest donated hers to locks of love (and she still has enough to cut off a second round of donation!) The middle had enough, but we forgot to tell the st... Tue, 9 Aug 2011 10:20:23 EST
