I headed out for my walk and a combo snow/rain started. I headed back into the house. I hadn't dressed for rain OR snow and I didn't have protection for my phone. So I figured I'd take my first stab at trying to fix the elliptical. Not gonna happen. Thought/hoped it would be a couple of bolts I had to replace. It's actually broken. Still - ZERO CRAVINGS!!!!! I am not exaggerating at all. I eat at mealtimes and am not compelled to eat any other time. I do not crave sweets. I do not crave fried stuff. I am not hungry in between meals. It is depressing, but it is what it is. If I don't eat it, I don't want it. First I tweaked my knee - which got me into walking running to replace the leg workout and cardio workouts from P90X. So now my legs are good and I have tendonitis in my elbow that is totally crippling my right arm, so I can't do any of the upper body stuff. So I'm mostly all running/walking all the time. I've been having a bagel in the morning without any problem lately, so I'm pretty happy about that. I just went back and figured out how long it's been since I could do the legs workout (or plyo - since that's the workout that tweaked my knee in the first place) and it has been a MONTH!! We talked about sailing today AND I slept until almost 9:00 a.m. today!! That combination wasn't looking good to get my ten miles in. But then we realized that we weren't going to be able to fit in sailing - besides there wasn't going to be wind. So I headed out aiming for 6 or 10 and went for 10!!! So - I got the first email about the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run, which will happen on April 7, 2013. Maura has run it a couple of times and I put in for the lottery for the 5K last year for the first time and didn't get selected. The email has a link to apply to be a "social runner." The "social runner" has to do the 10 Mile Run and blog/tweet/facebook about the experience of getting from here and now to the finish line in April.
