I was just too busy to concentrate on a diet and I didn't record my food choices nor did I go for my 40 minute walk every day. Yesterday I decided to add a 40 minute walk along the Lakeshore to my routine. Today I got on the scale and was down 1 lb - - don't know if this was due to the walk but I'll take it! I'm over half way to my goal and I'm really trying hard to reach it before the summer. John is doing great as well and is so happy with his progress. I lost 4.6 lbs! I'm so excited. That makes 24 lbs lost since January. <BR> I had a doctor's appointment on Friday and he weighed me and I was 197 on his scale - under the 200 - which I haven't been in many years. Mon, 23 Feb 2009 08:32:55 EST Monday, February 16/08 - Family Day Holiday Another happy day - I've lost 19.4 lbs so far - the diet is certainly working. John has lost weight and is so happy - he has not been 238 lbs in so many years and he is looking great! <BR> Yesterday I went to Swiss Chalet with Barb for lunch. Saw Doctor yesterday and I have Bronchitis. Started on Prednisone, increased the asthma medications and started on antibiotics. This should clear it up in a week's time. <BR> Weighed in today at 209.6. Very happy to be under the 210 - haven't been there in several years. I was good all week and didn't 'cheat' once even though I had every opportunity because we were away for the weekend and we ate out 3 days in a row! I lost another 3.8 lbs and I'm so happy. It was very easy to make and the house did smell like I was baking actual banana bread. I plan to have one with my coffee for my 'snack' each day - a real treat. Today was my first weigh in after being on my diet for a week and I lost 5.8 lbs - I couldn't be happier. Thank you SparkPeople for the motivation and the tools to help me stick to it. I know that planning the meals in advance, recording the calories each day and the friendly support I received was so beneficial.
