I love it!

135 Sat, 31 Aug 2013 19:37:20 EST Cleaning Day Spent several hours cleaning the kitchen ... wow: it's clean!

Started the day at the gym, again. I really didn't want to, and spent a lot of time thinking about what I wasn't going to do when I got there, and I did the sprint/walk treadmill and longer stretching than usual anyhow :D

315 Thu, 29 Aug 2013 20:07:55 EST Stress Challenge This is a task I need to do for the Stress Challenge... starting a Stress Journal. Sat, 3 Aug 2013 03:43:27 EST Been busy... Brought up my drawing table the day before yesterday, yesterday cleaned out my wardrobe (4 STUFFED bags of give-aways, one of garbage) ... Those were kind of in lieu of the gym.

I have 2 more games to ump, Monday, and those might be the last for the year. :(

Gym this morning was real sweat, but I'm having a hard time on the treadmill getting to really-winded the way I managed in the gym a few days ago.

Working... working.... 185 Fri, 2 Aug 2013 15:22:17 EST Busy Week I haven't been here in a few days...

I have been working out regularly, and eating at home, which helps. I had a game Monday and tonight, and have done Billy Blanks once and went to the gym yesterday.

So my life has been 'better' than it looks

Wed, 24 Jul 2013 11:08:13 EST Coffee: note to self So... if you drink a pot of coffee in the morning, when you go to do a boot camp dvd, you feel like you're going to faint, or possibly puke, or both.

Poor choice, there... before breakfast, next time!

216 Sat, 13 Jul 2013 17:30:27 EST Ball season's wrap up I'm concerned about how to stay as active, with as much intense activity as umpiring, once ball season ends...

Dh suggested skating, which is a pretty cool idea, actually...

196 Fri, 12 Jul 2013 01:16:33 EST Ball tournament today 2 games today, 2 more tomorrow... sweaty fun!

300 Sun, 7 Jul 2013 01:34:28 EST Billy Blanks is a Bully Pickin' on me :D

Had a GREAT workout with his Basic Training Boot Camp this morning --sweat pouring off me... but I could DO IT! Tue, 2 Jul 2013 16:49:09 EST Sudden Changes Like the Barenaked Ladies' 'overnight success' after 15 years of working their asses off in the industry, after 2 months of umpiring ball nearly a game a day (and sometimes 4!), I can now see the underside of my jaw...

I've lost only 5 pounds since I started weighing myself a few weeks ago, but since the measurements 4 days ago, I've lost more than 3" ... a whole inch off my hips and 1.5" off my waist... Fri, 28 Jun 2013 01:38:03 EST An Hour of Yoga Started this morning with a high energy bunch of sun salutations, which gently slowed into long stretches of my hard-working legs that turned into 15 minutes of peaceful, seated meditation.

Good day.

403 Tue, 25 Jun 2013 16:18:53 EST Recovery rate As a part of a health assessment I did yesterday, was a heart rate assessment.

From resting (sitting) at 62bpm, to immediately after a 30-second period of jumping jacks --100bpm, after 2 minutes my heartrate was back down to 55bpm.

I understand that 'recovery time' is a huge part of fitness... and I don't think these would have been the numbers I saw in November last year.

Woot!

355 Mon, 24 Jun 2013 12:23:08 EST Dishes How do I manage to mis-spell dishes as die... anything. Maybe something about why I avoid doing them in that :D

Two good games today, lots of running and no times of feeling winded, which is nice. I watched one player struggle after having to run for an in-the-park homer, as she still hadn't regained her breath almost 5 minutes later! A year ago, that would have been me
363 Sun, 23 Jun 2013 21:04:04 EST So many choices One of the big energy dampeners in my life is the So Many Choices pile. Nothing is really 'top' priority, there are a bunch of things I want to do... and then I drift through the day not picking any and getting nothing done.

So, I wrote a poem:

The Uncried Tears

Bitter bites a palate
Hungry with want, eyes hollow
And empty & the sinus scent of
Tears, uncried.
