I was WIPED when I went to bed last night and struggled to get my butt out of bed this morning. After breakfast and coffee, though, I was back to my normal self. As you can see my weigh is up on my ticker, 176 lbs, and my bodyfat is at 28%. That's not pretty. Me and my lil bro ate way too much while he was here. I'd look in the mirror and I'd see I was bloated, my face was getting chubby again and I had no energy. I've gotta stop it before it gets any ... Sat, 26 Jan 2013 18:10:26 EST Let Me Make Your BodyRock http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5223650 As of yesterday I started a 30 day challenge through BodyRock. Yesterday was a fitness test that will be repeated at the end of the 30 days. It is a series of 12 exercises that you do one at a time for 50 seconds on, 10 seconds break, then move onto the next exercise, etc. So in it's entirety it takes 12 minutes and it whooped my butt!! Today's workout was 4 exercises that you did 50 seconds on, 10 seconds off, just like yesterday, only you do 3 rounds since there are only 4 exercises. A... Fri, 25 Jan 2013 21:23:23 EST You Wanna Know?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5207484 I thought this looked fun. Enjoy!

A - Available or married: Available
B - Book: Anything by Nora Roberts or J.D. Robb (Nora's alter-ego when she writes crime-murder mysteries)
C - Cake or pie: Cake all the way
D - Drink of choice: White wine - Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc...ok yeah, I just like wine. That's when I'm drinking alcohol, of course (which is getting more and more rare). Day to day I stick to water. Luckily, I love it, so I don't mind ... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 21:55:11 EST Cleaning, Cleaning, Cleaning!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5207271 I have been cleaning up a storm today!! My little brother is coming to stay with me for a week, so I'm getting ready for it. He has pet allergies, so I've got to make it as clean as possible, so his allergies don't get too aggravated. It's always nice to have a clean house, so I'm going to be doing a little deep cleaning for personal reasons as well. I've dusted and scrubbed and vacuumed and mopped and laundered. I'll be happy once I'm done!

My little brother is 21 years old a... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 19:40:35 EST Let's Get It Started!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5203015 I read somewhere, either on here or on a Facebook fitness page I follow, about a woman who works out at home. She has a number of different work out dvds, P90X, Insanity, Brazil Butt Lift, etc. Instead of following one workout plan for 30, 60 or 90 days she does a different workout every week. So, I thought I'd take a cue from her to get myself back on track. Currently, I have P90X, Brazil Butt Lift and 30 Day Shred. Starting tomorrow I'm going to begin Brazil Butt Lift for a week. I'm ... Sat, 12 Jan 2013 00:35:54 EST Phone Interview http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5200912 I had a phone interview today that I think went rather well. I answered all of her questions and I think I did a good job of explaining my experience. Afterward, I was able to ask my questions about the job/company and her description of the type of candidate she's looking for was right in line with my answers to the questions she asked me. So I feel good about it. Some bonuses, the company is causal, so I'd be able to wear jeans to work! Seeing as I have like 4 business outfits, that's ... Thu, 10 Jan 2013 17:34:01 EST Where Do I Begin... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5197647 I haven't been doing so well the past month or two. And I'm not just talking about weight loss. I'm depressed. I've tried to tell myself it's not that bad and did a pretty good job staying relatively positive, but I'm feeling really weighed down lately. I've been unemployed for about a year and 3 months. Just that statement is depressing. A year and 3 months. How does that even happen? Why does it seem so impossible to get a job? I'm finally getting interviews, so that's a step in th... Tue, 8 Jan 2013 20:32:05 EST Tis The Season for Giving http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5169454 Wow, what a day!! I'm going to be working at my community center all week. Today was spent going through tons of gift donations for hundreds of kids and elderly people. You wouldn't believe the amount of gifts that were donated!! I'm in awe of everything that we got, just in my neighborhood. Today involved lots of organizing bags of gifts, unwrapping presents to quality check appropriateness of gifts, removing any food items, adding toys to bags for kids who didn't get as much in their b... Mon, 17 Dec 2012 20:33:33 EST Back At It!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5159551 Today's been a great day thus far. I've tracked everything I've eaten, I'm already about double the steps I got in yesterday and I got in a 60 minute P90X Plyometrics workout. In the workout alone I logged 3,800 steps!! I'm at 7,400 steps already and it's only 5:30. I'll definitely make sure I hit my 10,000 steps for the day. In my workout I burned 464 calories. Not mind blowing, but it's a solid workout. I had to go easy on a few moves cause my knees and ankles were giving me a little... Fri, 7 Dec 2012 18:36:43 EST December Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5158836 I've really been slacking lately as I've mentioned before. There are 24 days left in this year and I'd like to finish this year out right. I've been eating WAY too much takeout. My weight is up and I'm bloated. I haven't been working out. It's just time to get my butt in gear, so I'm going to set some goals for myself. When I set goals and do weekly check-ins, then I am better at holding myself accountable and see much more progress.

1. Work out 60 minutes 4 times/week (once... Fri, 7 Dec 2012 01:52:10 EST Dentist Part 4, Job Search Status, Dating and Other Stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5150827 Well I had my final dentist appointment for the time being. I got my last two fillings taken care of and while the dentist was in there working he saw an old filling and just decided to replace it as well...for free!! He said it's an early Christmas gift, lol. While all the expense of this sucks (I'm at $2500 currently), I will say I am very happy with my dentist's office. Everyone there is incredibly kind and helpful. They never made me feel bad, but rather took care of my problems and ... Thu, 29 Nov 2012 17:26:35 EST Dentist Part 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5148978 I had 4 fillings done yesterday. Ugh, so not fun. It took 2 hours!! One of them was particularly bad and apparently I need to get a root canal on that tooth. It sucks. Now today I've been dealing with pain all day. When I eat my jaw gets really sore. Obviously, this means vegetables are pretty much off the table right now. I have 2 more fillings scheduled for Thursday. I know it's awful. It's embarrassing to know how bad my teeth got. They look really nice when I smile, but my back... Tue, 27 Nov 2012 23:37:46 EST Feeling Good!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5135571 I've done great the past couple days. I've dropped 3.6 lbs in 2 days!! I'm eating plenty. The weight loss is purely due to switching from eating poorly to clean eating and it feels great. I didn't work out Monday, but I did do well with food. I did great with food yesterday and I did P90X KenpoX. Boy am I sore today!! I'm not planning to work out tonight, cause frankly I'm so crazy sore. But I will continue to track what I'm eating and I will work out tomorrow!

I got a seco... Wed, 14 Nov 2012 19:51:09 EST It's Not Good http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5132126 I've mentioned a few different times that I'm struggling, so this isn't some news flash for most of you. My weight has steadily been going up over the last month or two. I just have not been focused. I can't quite put my finger on what my issue is right now and how to move past it. I'm going to make a small short-term plan and then go from there. The first step is to weigh myself tomorrow morning. I've done my fair share of eating this weekend, so it's not going to be pretty, but I'm go... Sun, 11 Nov 2012 23:34:53 EST It's a New Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5124200 I'm feeling MUCH better today and I had a great, productive day. I woke up and had a healthy-ish breakfast. I was out of egg whites, but I had my organic chicken sausage on hand so I had that. I did some laundry, vacuumed, did dishes and picked up dog poop (hey, it's gotta be done).

Then I did the P90X Plyometrics dvd. I haven't done any of the P90X dvds since I started LiveFit, but I must say, I was noticeably stronger!! I could keep up much better than I could before. My ... Sun, 4 Nov 2012 23:04:06 EST Excuses http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5123131 I've been using my teeth issues as an excuse to eat poorly and not exercise. Granted today I had some major pain and taking the day off of working out was necessary. But I haven't worked out for like a week. That's just ridiculous. Added to that I've been eating unhealthy because it hurts to eat veggies and even chicken. Now I realize that I do need to alter my diet a bit to accommodate my teeth issues while I'm getting them resolved, but that doesn't mean completely throwing healthy eat... Sun, 4 Nov 2012 01:12:32 EST Dentist Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5121528 I had my second dentist appointment. I honestly thought it was going to be a cleaning and then we'd set up other appointments for the more invasive stuff. Well, they did explain everything I needed to have done. However, they just jumped right in and pulled my tooth! I wasn't expecting it, but hey, that's what's been causing me the most pain so I'm perfectly ok with them doing that first. In a little over a week, I'll get a cleaning and then they'll do fillings in my less problematic tee... Fri, 2 Nov 2012 13:35:51 EST Dentist Part 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5120416 I had my dentist appointment today. The pain, unfortunately, has not gotten any better since I last mentioned it. I've been taking ibuprofen to keep the pain at bay, but eating without a doubt is uncomfortable. That said, I finally went to the dentist this morning. They took a bunch of x-rays, did a visual inspection of all of my teeth and a teeny bit of cleaning (they ran out of time to do a full cleaning) in the area that's giving me pain. They found a few cavities, which I expected si... Thu, 1 Nov 2012 14:50:41 EST Halloween!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5116931 Halloween weekend has come and gone. I didn't get super crazy, but I did dress up. I was Rosie the Riveter. I got a lot of "great costume" yells from people I walked past, so it went over much better than I expected. Especially since it was a last minute decision. Anyway, here's a pic from Saturday night.

Aside from that I'm still struggling with being disciplined. Tue, 23 Oct 2012 12:23:48 EST Time to Reset http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5096552 I am officially hitting the reset button. The past few weeks I've just been kind of meandering along. Not necessarily doing awful (although some meal choices were admittedly awful), but not really giving things my all. I've been stressed about life and so I've been slacking. I haven't been working out regularly enough. Twice in the past month I've gone an entire week without working out. Not good. Basically, because I was feeling stressed I haven't wanted to workout or eat right. At t... Fri, 12 Oct 2012 14:03:16 EST Hmph... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5080591 I had my date on Friday and it went great. He seemed incredibly interested. The conversation was great. He was a gentleman. He was funny. We had a drink after dinner and he didn't hesitate to tell me he thought I was stunning and didn't think he'd have a chance with me. We found a few things we had in common. He looked at me like I was his dream girl and was affectionate with me (hand holding, touching my arm, leg, etc). All in all it was going really well. He suggested we hang out a... Sun, 30 Sep 2012 12:59:48 EST Things Are Looking Up!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5076414 I'm feeling great today. I've had great energy all day. I've just felt really alive. My day is winding down and I have a smile on my face. I can't complain there. I woke up this morning ready to attack the day. I took my dogs outside and felt the sun shining down on me. I ran a few errands and got my workout in. I really had to push to get through my workout quickly (if you can call a 50 minute workout "quick"), cause I was meeting up with a friend. I rushed home, showered, freshened... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 22:32:14 EST Dating Woes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5073220 Well I just heard from the old college acquaintance. He's started seeing someone else, as I kind of guessed. I have to say dating is incredibly frustrating. I swear any guy that I'm interested in always seems to start dating someone else right after they date me, whether we go on a couple dates or date for a couple months it always seems to end the same. They don't want to be in a relationship with me, but find someone else they do want to be with. God it's disheartening. I know I'm a g... Mon, 24 Sep 2012 16:06:28 EST Date Update and Some Legs!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5069634 I figured you guys would want an update on that date. Yeah...it went about as well as I expected. When he would tell stories they would go on forever, never seemed to have a point and, worst of all, weren't even interesting or funny. We're sitting there and Ray Charles' Georgia On My Mind comes on and I mention that it's a great song, and he says he's never heard it. I thought he was kidding, but unfortunately he wasn't!!! They were playing all of this great music and he didn't know what... A lot of things seem to be getting to me lately. I am less than a month away from being unemployed for a year. An entire year without working...it's ridiculous. No part of me wants to be unemployed. I want to work. I apply for 10-20 jobs a week and I've heard back from only a handful. I've had two interviews, both for sales jobs, both requiring that I spend money and pu... Wed, 19 Sep 2012 14:22:30 EST LiveFit and Dating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5047214 I'm in week 3 of the LiveFit Trainer. I'm really enjoying it, but man am I sore!! I did legs on Tuesday and my hamstrings and butt are sore!! Seriously, I've been stretching a couple times a day and it's STILL super sore. I have this vibrating massage thing, so I used that today. I can't wait for this soreness to dissipate a bit. Aside from that my eating's been super clean and I've really been pushing it in my workouts.

As some of you know I had a date last friday. It was... Thu, 6 Sep 2012 14:13:46 EST Grocery Haul http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5021173 My fridge was EMPTY!!! Which obviously makes it easy to slip and get takeout or whatever. So today I put together a list of a few bulk meals I want to make, as well as other meal and snack ideas. Then I made a shopping list based on those meals and snacks. Holy man did I end up getting a crap load of stuff!! I'm very proud, though, because my cart was VERY clean. There were no processed or unhealthy foods to be found. I got some more tupperware, so that I could be sure I have enough fo... Sat, 18 Aug 2012 22:34:55 EST Lesson Learned http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5019747 Well I weighed in today. I gained 2 lbs, which really isn't that bad considering some of the choices I've made over the past month. However, the real change I saw was in my body fat, unfortunately. I went from 24% to 25.8%. That means I went from 38.5 lbs of fat to 41.9, so I actually gained 3.4 lbs of fat. It's a new day, though. Yesterday was great. I weighed and tracked all of my food and worked out. Today is going well and I'm looking forward to starting LiveFit on Tuesday!!!! Fri, 17 Aug 2012 17:05:49 EST Missing in Action/LiveFit!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5018424 Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. I had family in town, multiple celebrations for my 30th birthday, etc. and I let that be an excuse to slack a bit. I haven't been tracking my food, I've been eating things that I shouldn't (and, frankly, that make me feel like crap) and I haven't been exercising. I'm ready to get back on track. Today I'm tracking my food and I'm going to get a workout in shortly. I'll weigh in and record my weight tomorrow and keep things moving in the right direction.
... Last week I didn't really workout, aside from the 5K. I tracked my food here and there, but overall made healthy choices and was aware of how much I was eating. This week I still haven't worked out. My fridge is basically empty, so I've resorted to takeout and have not tracked at all. I just have NOT been making good choices.

I feel like stress about money and being unemployed is draining my energy and I'm n... Wed, 18 Jul 2012 19:26:14 EST Weight Room Adventures Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4957129 Today was my second go round in the weight room. Luckily the majority of my workout was in the cardio/weight machine area on leg machines that I've used before, so the first two-thirds of my workout was easy. Then I went upstairs to the weight room for my last two exercises. Holy men, batman!! There were easily 20-30 guys there today (as opposed to like 5 last time). I'm guessing a lot of people had off of work hence the large group of guys before 5 o'clock. So as is probably expected I... Thu, 5 Jul 2012 21:24:02 EST Question/Advice About Running a 5K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4956707 A friend of mine texted me today and asked if I wanted to do this 5K with her and a friend of hers next thursday called Storming the Bastille. We have a Bastille days celebration here in Milwaukee that's a good time and there's a 5K run at night. Last year I went to the event and wished I was doing the run, but was just there for fun. Here comes my concern. As far as I know my friend runs fairly regularly. She's certainly not this super fit crazy serious runner, but it is something she d... I knew it was getting to the point where I needed to get in there and really start to challenge myself, cause there's only so much you can do with a couple sets of dumbbells. As of today I started the 4 Weeks to Fit program. I got ready, printed off the workout log and was on my way. I have to be honest, on the way to the gym I was a mix of nervous and excited. I really enjoy weight training, so I had a good feeling ab... For those of you that don't know, Summerfest is the largest music festival in the world and it's located here in little old Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Well, I went for opening day today (the festival in total lasts nearly 2 weeks) to see a friend's band perform. The music part is great, but Summerfest is also known for its beer...and food. Standing in one place, you can probably see 5 different places where you ca... I had this tough week of exercise planned and all of a sudden I had this big wrench thrown in my plans. I decided to take it easy and let it get better, which was the right thing to do. I went out to go for a nice long walk, so I could still get a decent calorie burn without overextending myself. For the first mile I was feeling frustrated. I felt like I should be doing more. I should be running, walking just didn't seem good enough at th... Sun, 24 Jun 2012 22:57:21 EST Weigh In http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4937648 I've got to admit, this plateau is frustrating. It doesn't change anything. I'm still just as focused as I was yesterday. However, when you spend 5 weeks right around 160-161 lbs and you're eating well and working out like crazy, it's kind of hard to swallow. I was at 160.4 on Wednesday (and of course that's what I weighed this morning), but then when I went to the baseball game my weight went up a bit. Man, though, it was hooooottt. It's been in the 90's for the past 3 days and I'm so ready for a break. That said, I think I did really well at the game today. I had one and a third light beers (spilled the rest, whoops), a bloody mary, a hot dog and LOTS of water. All in all that's not to bad for a day at the ballpark. Everything is in my tracker, so my dinner will be focused on hitting my nutrition goals for the day. Overall, ... Wed, 20 Jun 2012 19:22:57 EST Muscle Definition http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4933085 Recently I saw my mom and she commented that I have really good calf definition, which according to her doesn't run in our family. She says most people don't really have calf muscles. My take? They probably just don't work out as much as I do. Just a guess, lol. Then she made me make a muscle and show my step-dad my bicep. So as a little thank you to her for pointing out some areas where I'm getting really toned and showing some progress and so I can show a little self love to myself, h... Tue, 19 Jun 2012 12:06:46 EST Food!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4932303 I got a question about what food I eat recently and I'm a bit of a food nerd, so I happen to have pictures of some of the things I've cooked and thought I'd share them with you all. The first two have recipes I've posted here, the other six don't. Enjoy!!

1. Sat, 16 Jun 2012 11:13:15 EST Aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4927799 Man, I can't believe I didn't hit the 150's this week!!! Lol, somehow I managed to lose a whopping 0.2 lbs. Truth to be told I had a few snags this week. Early on this week I wasn't feeling great, so while I ate healthy and my calories were probably in check I didn't track 100%, didn't weigh all of my food and didn't work out. My weight was dropping every day, but I had water weight I was taking off from a little weekend indulgence. I did really well the past 2 days. I weighed everythin... Fri, 15 Jun 2012 13:21:17 EST June Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4907501 After my gain this week and reading another blog where they listed their goals for June, I decided to make some goals for myself. Here goes:

1. Do 360 pushups (30 pushups 3 times/week). Since I'm doing the Brazil Butt Lift program I wanted to do something to incorporate a little more upper body work. May add in some strength training as well, depending if the Sculpt dvd (which I haven't done yet, but is on schedule for the coming week) includes enough upper body strength moves.... Fri, 1 Jun 2012 13:44:00 EST Gain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4907331 Well, it's my first gain since I started April 2nd. I'm up 0.8 lbs since last week. Not sure what it was exactly. Perhaps my body is reacting to the new exercise routine? Maybe it was something from the meals out 2 days in a row (totally abnormal for me - and I made the best decisions I could)? Or maybe I indulged too much last weekend? Regardless I'm going to do my best to have a better weigh in next week. I'm going to my mom's this weekend, so I'm going to have a little less control... Fri, 1 Jun 2012 11:51:46 EST Comparison http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4903227 Sometimes it's easy to forget how far you've come. I've lost 45 lbs and at times I feel like I've still got such a long way to go. I just started the Brazil Butt Lift program and decided to take before pics and since I did that I of course compared them to old pics I've taken. Holy crap it makes me nervous to put these pictures "out there", but here are a couple side shots of me at 206 lbs, 170 lbs and 161 lbs.

Tue, 29 May 2012 18:34:14 EST Month 2 Results http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4897435 I'm proud of the work I've done this month. I didn't quite reach my goal, but I always knew that my goal to get to 145 by my birthday is pushing it a wee bit. I'm doing my best and I'm making progress and that's what really matters. I dropped a size, so obviously I'm doing something right. Hopefully next month I'll get into the size 10 goal shorts I bought and maybe in the final month I'll be able to get into an 8!! We shall see! Here are my results for this month:

Weight - 1... Fri, 25 May 2012 10:28:54 EST
