I'm not concerned about others reading it. This is for me.

I'm 5'2" and 225 lbs. I don't feel fat. This is the first time I've admitted my weight out loud. I won't even tell my husband my true weight. It's embarrassing. I don't feel out of shape, but when I look in the mirror I'm always surprised by the person that's looking back at me. That is me? I'm really taken aback by the belly that hangs in the front. Wow, where did that come from? I do have some... It could have been much worse. The kid tried to play his own Dr. Apparently he's had stomach problems for a while hr didn't tell anyone about. He had been taking a mountain of ibuprofen to help with pain. The ibuprofen caused the ulcers to bleed. He lost a lot of blood and will be in the hospital for a few days.

Thank you for your prayers and heartfelt thoughts. Wed, 8 Jan 2014 08:55:56 EST Prayers http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5585497 My morning started off good. Then I got a call from a very dear friend. Her son, my son's best friend, and my "2nd son" has been taken to Doernbecher Hospital very early this morning. He has eternal bleeding but they don't know why. It came on suddenly.

He's been a part of our family since he was two. He's only 17 with a very big heart. My day will be spent in prayer.

God please touch Tyven and heal him with your loving hands. In Jesus Name Amen Tue, 7 Jan 2014 10:59:24 EST Team Challenge - Day 6 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5584235 I am sooo proud of myself. Day six and I haven't strayed from the path. To know me, is to know that when it comes to food, straying from the path is my thing. I Love food; and I LOVE to bake. Not a good combination for someone who has no self control over food.

I attribute my staying on the right food path to the wonderful people on Sparkpeople and the support you provide. I used to think I don't need the support. I can do this on my own. Besides, if I 'fail' I won't face ... Mon, 6 Jan 2014 11:55:35 EST A Team Challenge - Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5578377 A good start today. Posted my weigh in. I Feel good that I gained no weight through the holidays. I spent time with my family. We went to breakfast. Eating out at a small, country town restaurant it's not easy to find healthy food to eat but I did it! The gym is closed today but that's OK. I got to walk all over with my 6 yr. old granddaughter. She is a load of fun to hang out with.

My favorite quote from her today. Grandma, you're a midget... LOL ...I'm 5'3"; the res... Wed, 1 Jan 2014 18:31:57 EST A Team Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5575154 January 1st I start a team challenge. I'm nervous. I'm not good at challenges and not confident that I will lose the weight I'm hoping to lose. I almost begged out--until my husband walked in as I was weighing myself. The look of shock on his face said it all.
Now I'm more determined to make this work.

So far since restarting, I've lost 6 pounds. Not much, but better than gaining. I pay more attention to the food and portions I eat. I took a two week reprieve. I wa... Sun, 29 Dec 2013 23:46:20 EST The start (again) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5540329 I started SparkPeople on May 25, 2012. I wanted to do something for me. Tired of feeling and looking fat. I decided to do something about it. I meant it, then. But, typical for me, it didn't last long. I started out gang busters. Then I would skip a day. Then two days. I had lots of excuses. My biggest excuse was my thyroid. I have an under active thyroid. In my mind, that was a real good excuse to be lazy.

A couple of months ago, I noticed my weight climbing. Why? I... Wed, 13 Nov 2013 16:45:52 EST
