I did a bit exploring on the run. I took some streets that I don't normally take and it was interesting seeing the homes. Then went for a bike ride (6 miles) - my legs were like rubber. I decided to shorten the ride because of that. Then went for a swim (for 20 minutes). The swim was a little bit of swimming and alot of luxuriating in the water.

When I was trying to decide where to park to make easier to transition fr... Fri, 31 Jul 2015 08:46:35 EST Goals Met http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5968481 Yesterday I hit my targets for the conference. As a matter of fact I supersceded those targets. I spoke with a vendor who was selling a package that could provide internet via satellite to rural or congested areas. It is a challenge we have in the Bahamas to get internet in an economical way to rural area. So the technology is there and probably the feasibility is there but that has to be looked into. I also went to Huawaei and found out that they have a full line of smartphones and tablets ... I started the celebrations yesterday with champagne and cake and ice cream. This morning I had 2 sugar apples and went for a 6 mile run/walk - I started walking and did 3 miles then challenged myself to run and I did 3 miles. The bike ride didn't happen yesterday. The appointment I was to bike ride to was cancelled - so I did my errands instead.

While I was out exercising I remembered that December 2016 would mark 20 years since I did my... The route included a lot of hills I tried to get in as many hills as I possibly could. I then went to work and I had some errands to run later in the day (1) was getting the tire on the bike repaired and (2) was going into town to a government agencies. So after getting the bike repaired I've went to the agency but I parked I guess abo... I took the bike and had the tyre repaired early in the day. From a professional perspective some of my pursuits are interfering with my exercise programme and to some extent my eating.

1. A professional wants to have a talk with me over lunch. I've had tons of errands to run and you gotta wait in lines. But I've been energized. Been waking at 4:30 a.m. and out to walk at 5 a.m. No battle of the wills. All feelings and all body parts are in harmony about the exercise. The wings mania seems to have passed for the moment. I also continue the sorting out and throwing of my 'archives'. Wed, 22 Jul 2015 20:44:22 EST Yesterday's Report http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5964150 Report on yesterday's plan:

My plans were to get my intentional cardio in by walking to the company seminar yesterday which was being held at a hotel. After the seminar, I would go for my bike ride. Well, I walked to the seminar - but it wasn't as far as I thought it was going to be. It was slightly over .5 mile one way so the most I got in was 1.2 miles altogether. So I adjusted the plan for after the seminar to ride and do a 2 mile run/walk. Well, I'd parked the car by a fri... My plan for today is to park far away for a meeting I have and walk to it. So that means that I need to leave early and wear comfortable shoes and lightweight clothing. When the meeting is over I'll walk back. My riding partner is not available this afternoon, so I will ride the bike by myself. The bike is in the car from Friday, I never took it out. I'll pass on the ST - I'm sore all over.

I'm going to coo... I found 2 of 3 of them. Of course the most important one I can't see. After I pulled the boxes out and before I did the rummaging, I went for my walk and swim. It was a bit hot because this is about 7 a.m. no negotiating with Mother Nature today. After the walk, I went into the sea, it was like immersing in a luxurious bath. It was overcast (a bit) but I could see the sun dying to get out. So I said to Mother Nature if she could just postpone the process of photosynthesis until I finish I continue to run and wouldn't walk. Now, I put those shoes on in the house, I went into the kitchen and packed lunch, I walked to my Mom's bedroom and I walked to my car. It was not until I got out of the car at work that I noticed my gait was uneven and looked down and saw the mismatch. Go figure. I had to drive back home and correct my wardrobe.

Today, I am positive (yesterday I was not) - but I had dinner with a friend/colleague who was visiting. ... Thu, 18 Jun 2015 11:15:48 EST Going Up? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5946461 Houston we have a problem. Up 2lbs this week and that is the 2nd straight week that I've gained. So I've been hovering between 198 - 200 but I'm at 202 now. I need Action in this department and Procrastination to exit. My challenge is to lose 1lb a week and I'm gaining 2lbs a week. I'm going to review my tracker and see if I can see what's happening.

Had another productive day at work yesterday. My office-mate is not in office and so I have peace and quiet and I can get thi... Wed, 17 Jun 2015 05:51:19 EST Action http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5945972 I was real productive yesterday getting some personal goals achieved. One of them was getting a pants hemmed. I've had the pants driving around in the car for about 5 months at least and I had just finished an errand and I was passing a tailor's shop. Action said, "stop" and Procrastination said, "No another time". After a brief quarrel - Action won. The tailor asked me when I wanted it - I said, "Thursday". The tailor said, "you can have it a 4 p.m. today". At 4 p.m. I returned it was... So I missed the 1st half hour and the final race. Checked to see if it would be aired again, well it's not on the schedule for the next 7 days. Interestingly, the men's final was aired on Friday and then again on Saturday before the Women's final. The double standard.

Yesterday, went to exercise at 8 p.m. I walked, hula hooped, s... Sun, 14 Jun 2015 08:32:47 EST Coolin' Out http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5944430 Yesterday for dinner I had my planned meal. Why is this important? Because DS had pizza. In the face of pizza, I had to heat up my meal (used the toaster oven - not the microwave) and boy, I did think - just one piece while your food heats. I wasn't sure I'd forego it even after I ate until I woke up this morning. Then, this morning, I had to think about what I'll have for breakfast. Pizza was discussed as an option, because it would have been easier to do. But I dismissed that. But te... Reaching the end of a job interview, the Human Resources Officer asks a young engineer fresh out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, "And what starting salary are you looking for?" The engineer replies, "In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package." The interviewer inquires, "Well, what would you say to a package of five weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car lea... Just as I had settled in to the idea DS would be going to college in January and I was turning my thoughts to what is he going to do until then - (hence the project yesterday), he gets a call for admission to a university for the Fall semester. So now everything is in a state of flux again. But we continued on with our project - to keep options open. I told DS he needs me to be his manager.

The work matter I stayed home to attend to - I got notice around... Thu, 11 Jun 2015 08:23:09 EST
