I spent it in a kayak on the Dan River with my two sons. Afterward we went and had Mexican food for dinner. I was tired Sunday night, but it was a good tired. After all, they say a picture is worth a thousand words!

We landed in Albuquerque on May 6th and my sister picked us up from the airport. After having lunch, we picked up the small travel trailer we rented and headed s... Fri, 17 May 2013 11:18:17 EST Camping Fun with the Family http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5338080 I woke up this morning from a sleep marathon! We had a wonderful time camping, but shortly after getting home yesterday morning I started getting a migraine headache. I think it was set off by all the junk food I ate the night before (my body isn’t accustomed to it anymore). I took my migraine med and went to bed for a “nap” but the nap turned into much more. I slept all day and night! At least this morning my headache is gone and I feel completely rested.

As for our night of ... Sun, 28 Apr 2013 09:55:09 EST So Much To Be Thankful For http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5322621 The last week has been such a positive one in our home.

On Monday, we went back to Tommy’s oncologist for the results of his latest CT scan. The news was good with no increase in the size of the tumors in his lungs. The only negative that came out of the day (and actually I think Tommy was kind of happy about it) was that he has been trying to shake a bad cough he developed after a cold. His doctor said he has bronchitis and put him on antibiotics. She delayed his chemo treat... Sun, 14 Apr 2013 09:46:45 EST What Was I Thinking? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5307373 Isn’t it funny how projects always sound so easy in the planning stages? I’ve always been one to do things myself if at all possible. I’d like to say it’s because I enjoy a challenge, but truthfully I’m just too tight to pay someone a lot of money to do something I think I can do myself.

So, how hard could it really be to install new flex-drain at the back of your house? I did my research, read way too much about it and watched the videos online showing exactly how to do it. ... Mon, 1 Apr 2013 10:55:59 EST Does everyone hate tax time as much as me? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5275868 So once again, I’ve been away from Spark for a few days. While I would prefer to spend all of my spare time playing, exercising outdoors, or checking out my friends activity here, there are those unpleasant things that we must occasionally make time for. So I spent my weekend off doing the one thing I hate the most - preparing my taxes.

I used to pay a CPA to do them when I was also working as a licensed massage therapist, but my carpal tunnel surgery in both hands ended my prac... Wed, 27 Feb 2013 12:21:05 EST Vacation Plans (Sort Of) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5257506 March is almost here, hopefully bringing the warmer temperatures so many of us are longing for - yippee!!! I want to put on my shoes and go outside and walk, without having to pile on a coat, gloves, hat . . . only to have to start the on again, off again pattern to coincide with my hot flashes. 67

We now made our plans for vacation, at least as much as we are going to "plan" vacation this year. We decided this is going to be a stress free trip. 227 <e... Wed, 20 Feb 2013 12:40:35 EST One Day Down http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5250319 I began yesterday giving up soft drinks for lent in the hope of kicking my cravings for the syrupy beverage to the curb. I’m proud to say that day one was a success. I know, I know, it’s only one day right? But for me, a true Dr. Pepper lover, this is huge. I do okay at home, but at work it’s much too easy to grab some change from my purse and indulge in my second favorite drink. Coffee is my first, but I’ll work on that later - one step at a time.

I took my large bottle of ... Thu, 14 Feb 2013 11:22:29 EST
