I was down under 200 lbs for the first time in probably 15 or so years. I felt great, I looked great and I had fantastically normal blood work results and blood pressure. I was full of energy and highly motivated to continue being a healthier me.

Then comes the trouble. You see when I was 19 years old *1996* I was raped. I got pregnant. I gave that baby girl up for adoption because at the time I had a 5 month old son that I was ... I have been looking forward to this vacation for close to 2 years. I want to be in the best shape physically as possible. I don't want to miss out on a single thing because I am too tired, too out of shape. There's a LOT to see and do and it's a pretty physical type of vacation.

As of this morning my weight was 200.4 lbs. I want to lose 15 ... Wed, 20 Mar 2013 12:59:39 EST 7) Anything else you would like to share with your Team http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5278488 It's been a great week even though I have gone over my calorie budget a few times and under my fitness goals. I've lost half of the weight that I gained on my 2 week California vacation and I have managed to track my food every day. Yesterday was difficult since I ate dinner at my Mom's and didn't get home until after midnight. But I did it!

It was also very stressful. My mother received a phone call that my other brother (not the baby brother who is down here visiting) is separat... Fri, 8 Mar 2013 08:03:01 EST 6) Do you need some motivation or advice? Ask for it! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5277123 I can always use more motivation! Especially since I really do not feel good. Got a cold. Pretty sure it was that lady sitting next to me on the plane who keep sneezing and sniffling the entire flight and kept invading my foot space to the point I actually kicked her a few times because she left me with no where to put my feet, so rude! Brother is still in town, and while I've done good at tracking, my appetite is still on vacation mode and I am definitely eating more than I should. I also ne... Thu, 7 Mar 2013 09:07:20 EST 5) What can you improve upon? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5276326 I've been doing good really. I haven't missed a meal yet even with eating out =) Wed, 6 Mar 2013 18:11:49 EST 4) How are you doing day by day? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5273921 So far, so good. I even logged the lunch from a restaurant after church on Sunday. The rest of the week will be quite challenging though since my baby brother is coming to town today and I'll be eating out and/or at our Mom's house more often than not. Tue, 5 Mar 2013 08:23:15 EST 3) What are you doing to encourage yourself and keep on track? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5272288 Just making it a priority to be consistent with my food tracking. I allow myself small treats, like a Hershey miniature dark chocolate bar, as long as I track it of course. Mon, 4 Mar 2013 08:28:46 EST 2. How will I do it? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5271324 I will take the time, as soon as possible after each meal to track everything that goes into my mouth. Good or bad. I will also try to input my food before I eat it whenever possible, to better plan my days to actually land within my calorie targets for the day. Sun, 3 Mar 2013 15:35:18 EST 1) What new habit you wish to develop? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5269628 I need to get back into the habit of tracking my food each day. This helps keep me on track better than anything else and I haven't been doing it while I was on vacation. Now it's time to get back on the right path and make progress. Sat, 2 Mar 2013 11:14:37 EST January 2013 Recap http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5232761 I weighed 203.4 pounds on January 1st. On January 31st my weight was 198.0 for a loss of 5.4 pounds! My total weight loss since starting this journey is now 57 pounds! I am now in ONEderland and am dedicated to never going back to the 200s. I am 1 pound away from becoming overweight and out of the obese BMI category!!!!

I'm doing pretty good on my other goals as well. I am still on track with the January Jump Start Challenge. It really means a lot to me to get through this month strong. I want to be sure to exercise every day and I want to complete this challenge so I can really start this year off well. My sinuses are killing me and I've been dealing with hot and cold flashes from an apparent fever all day.

I have resolved to NOT let anything be an excuse to stop my from putting in at least 10 minutes of exercise per day. Mon, 9 Jan 2012 20:52:05 EST January 8, 2012 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4667463 Today ended up being a very fun day. I went to church this morning, which is part of my spiritual health goals. It was also the annual chili cook-off and I let my family talk me into participating. I never, ever expected to win or anything, my chili is so plain in my opinion and not spicy at all. Well apparently a lot of other people like it that way too lol. I got the 2nd place ribbon and there was not a drop of chili left in my crock pot. That really made my day more than I could have imagi... I walk at a 3mph pace so that was about 2 miles. It was such a perfect day. It was sunny and 68F with a slight breeze. I had set out to do 20 minutes, but it was so nice out that I decided to go ahead and do 30 minutes, but then it was still so nice and I felt I could do more and the audiobook I was listening to was interesting (Purity in Death by J.D. Robb aka Nora Roberts) and next I knew it was 41 minutes and time to think about ... Thu, 5 Jan 2012 22:34:21 EST January 1, 2012 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4648495 2011 was pretty successful for me. I managed to finish the year off weighing in at 229 lbs. That put me at a total loss of 26 lbs. for the year, which I didn't begin trying until June. Yay!

I have been able to wear some of my older clothing that I'd outgrown. My 24s are definitely too big for me. They fit me nicely! They aren't too tight, they are comfortable! So I've gone from a 24 to a 22 in pants =) Also the 1x top that I am wearing is comfortable. The buttons don't look stressed out across my chest and the sleeves don't feel like they are going to rip apart at the seams.

Oh it's a happy day! Sun, 11 Sep 2011 10:38:26 EST September 9, 2011 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4475130 I just completed my 3rd day of my 1st week of walking a 5k training program. I walked 1.5 miles with my dog in 30 minutes. I could have gone faster, but it is garbage day and she gets spooked by garbage cans so I have to tug her along more than usual. Silly dog.

I weighed in at 239.0 today. That makes 3 days in a row of the 230s. I'm very excited about that. It's been 2 years since I was in the 230s. Thu, 4 Aug 2011 08:48:42 EST July 31, 2011 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4398615 So I started this day off by having to wake up at 5am. My husband is on call and his phone rang and he had to go in for work. He's fiber optics field tech for the local cable company. I took advantage of being awake when the sun rose though and took my Sara for our morning mile walk. We did it in 25 minutes, not our best time, nor our worst time.

Then I splurged on breakfast because hubby offered to bring home Hardee's on his way home and I can't resist a Frisco breakfast sandwich... We did it in 23 minutes, which was 3 minutes faster than the day before. It was so hot I think we both just wanted to hurry back to our A/C at home lol.

Then I did my daily Bible reading. We went a little further today and kept up a much brisker pace. She's getting the hang of it real quickly. She's so smart and such a good girl. She never tried to pull ahead and only required slight tug when she lingered too long to sniff a spot. If she'd start to walk a little faster than me she'd slow right down and wait for me. It's only a 6' leash so there's not much leeway for her. I want her to walk right with me. When she came across... Normally we just let her run around the backyard with our older doggy and play fetch with her. Since it was a whole new experience with her she kept a nice slow pace with me. I'm looking forward to picking up our pace and distance as we both get used to it together. It was nice. I love my puppy so much and getting to bond with her was great. Plus I got to meet some of ...
