It is different from the usual heartburn, etc, in that it has no symptoms! I found out about this in my 50's when I thought I was having a heart attack. After taking nitroglycerin in the ER, the pain disappeared. They gave me all the tests for my heart. The doctor's conclusion was the pain was coming, not from my heart ( which was fine) but from my esophagus, which also responds to nitroglycerine! He advised me to go to a gastroenterologist. <BR>...
