Had yogurt and fruit for breakfast, lunch was leftover chicken breast and green beans, dinner was some really great turkey burgers http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-deta
il.asp?recipe=632 I served mine on a bed of spinach with red wine vinegar and oil with a dash of pepper. I used Tastefully Simple Everyday Grilling seasoning then thought hmmm why not add some Spinach and Herb dip... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 19:34:11 EST Staying on track---well mostly http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5206879 Thursday I made baked herb chicken and fixed green beans and then sauteed cabbage in a little bit of olive oil seasoned with Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic and Onion Onion then at the end tossed in just a splash of soy sauce. 4 YUM!! The chicken was only so-so but the cabbage was phenomenal. So the kids wouldn't touch it but I'll definitely make it again!
Had a bit of a rough time over the weekend, gave in Friday night and had a handful of chips with salsa when we went ou... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 14:33:29 EST Smoothies http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5199128 Really have to share this. For awhile now my kids have enjoyed smoothies made with yogurt, juice and frozen fruit. Yesterday I made one with green tea and mixed berries. My daughter and I loved it, my son (usually the pickier of the two) didn't ---but then again she likes tea and he doesn't. Today I made another, this time I used plain greek yogurt, bit of acidophilus milk to thin it down a bit (ended up added water too as had a hard time blending it), frozen peaches, a few frozen strawbe... Wed, 9 Jan 2013 16:40:18 EST Another day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5198481 I guess technically this is day 3 as I started this on Monday. Still have not managed to get a single probiotic into the mix but did get back on green tea. Had some issues last night (bloated, stomach hurt, you get the drift). Ended up having 7 UP to help settle my stomach....helped. Today I'm still not feeling too great felt queasy earlier now just blah but don't feel like even looking at food. I did get dinner started in the crockpot.
I'm making http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/re... Wed, 9 Jan 2013 09:51:05 EST Restart -- Giving the 17 day diet another shot http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5196742 I was pleased with my results the first attempt at this diet until life and stress reared its ugly head and circumstances made it difficult to stick with it. Then in December depression decided to settle in for better part of the month. I have not gotten on a scale but wouldn't be surprised if I found myself close to where I started in June. I 'THINK' I'm still down at least 10 judging from clothing.
Went to the store yesterday and stocked up on fresh fruits and veggies, chicken, turk... Tue, 8 Jan 2013 10:37:09 EST Thankful? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5127302 And again a difficult day...took the dog for routine vaccines and came out spending $380 that could have been used for the wedding because of an infection in her ear. Then a friend's father in law had a massive heart attack (they just went through this with his mother a year ago and lost her). So....I need to think about the positives...

1) My phone has not rang all day.
2) My 13 year seems to be making some positive strides towards dealing with the issues she has been facin... Wed, 7 Nov 2012 12:28:41 EST Today's thankful thoughts http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5126548 1) I'm thankful this election is almost over! Between flyers in my mail, tv ads and 100's of phone calls enough is enough.
2) I'm thankful that I live in a country where we do have the right to vote for our countries leaders
3) going off topic of elections....I'm thankful again for the pounds I've lost...today I went to try on clothes at a store that at last attempt a year ago I could barely wear. Today I was asked by one of the managers to model one of the outfits I tried on this... Tue, 6 Nov 2012 19:34:19 EST Another day -- Thankful?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5125372 Well, today is one of those days when I find it hard to be thankful for things (this wedding can not be over soon enough....I swear I'm liable to disown family members before it is over!! And to think we are supposed to be staying with same family members for 6 nights---um yeah---starting to think this is a really bad idea).

but...i'm going to focus on little things....
like...how my daughter was up before me this morning and I didn't have to fight her to get up for school...... Mon, 5 Nov 2012 20:33:51 EST Thankful today.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5123700 1) For this beautiful fall day!
2) That my family is healthy
3) oh....here is a good one...lol...that my kids are OUTSIDE!!
Sun, 4 Nov 2012 14:43:02 EST today I am thankful http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5122964 1) that my niece"s wedding is just 3 weeks from today (because honesty? Glad we aren't doing a huge wedding cause id have to hurt someone)
2) have a Tastefully simple party tomorrow and one on 14th . Then have. 2 day event right before we leave so maybe I will manage enough to pay our hotel rooms on the way down and back!
3) I got a hug from my 13 year old today rum okay so she did pffftt at me but did so laughing and gave a hug along with it. Sat, 3 Nov 2012 21:54:24 EST Thankful http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5121499 So within my Tastefully Simple team we have been challenged to list 3 things each day that we are thankful for. Sometimes (like the past week) it is hard to think of things that we are thankful for...to focus on the good and let go of the bad. So, I'm going to focus on the good things.
1. Since starting the 17 day diet back in June I've lost 27 lbs. Yes, I've lost then gained then lost (but then again I haven't stuck to it 100%) but overall as of this morning I'm sitting at 27lbs les... Fri, 2 Nov 2012 13:09:25 EST I've been a little scarce http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5118461 But.....everything is well, its just that the wedding? It's been moved up....as in 3 weeks from this coming Saturday!! So, I've been busy trying to help her find a venue, make plans, figure out where to get a dress in such a short amount of time, finding a dress for my 13 year old (still have to figure out what she wants my son to wear and take care of that), working out travel plans (still working that one), and yeah everything else that goes with it.
As for dieting? I'm still, for... Tue, 30 Oct 2012 22:17:14 EST Starting the day off right http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5092424 Well, okay not entirely...I still can't get into the lemon water in the morning and I am having a Diet Coke (I had cut it out almost completely then the past couple of months with being out of town for conference then my sister I let myself slide back into the routine). I've decided I think I have a new favorite breakfast---just too bad I won't do eggs every morning because it was yummy.
I put just enough Tastefully Simple Roasted Garlic Infused Oil to coat the bottom of the skillet, th... Tue, 9 Oct 2012 09:50:04 EST Grocery shopping --- check http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5089238 So just returned home from the grocery store and Walmart....$240 less than when I left the house in my bank account. Boy am I ever glad we only have 2 kids in the house and no really little ones. But...that said....I should have enough food for 2 weeks out of that trip combined with what I already had at home. Actually, more like 2 1/2 weeks since I bought a pork loin slab that I'll cut later into three making three meals---with leftovers from each for next day lunches.
I mentioned ... Sat, 6 Oct 2012 18:31:18 EST Budgeting and menu planning http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5088115 So we are really watching $$ right now (could be making a trip to FL for a wedding within the next month--yikes!). I have been looking at the grocery ads then making plans for menus based off what is on sale for the past year. Since starting the 17 day diet that hasn't been entirely possible but I still do as much as I can. I'm actually thinking I may just have to stick on cycle 3 for awhile where there are more choices since turkey is seldom on sale (but then again ground beef is an arm a... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 16:12:47 EST I've been a bad girl...and today I'm feeling it! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5086594 Well, yesterday went to a Kansas City Royals game (got to see one of the Detroit Tigers make history). Went to meet family for dinner before carpooling to the game (hey, they had a parking pass..sure beats $27 for parking!!). Um, ate some chicken nachos and a chicken wrap and shame on me...some fries. But did refrain from soft drinks or alcoholic beverages and went with water. Then fast forward to the game. My cousin goes up for a drink, comes back with a beer for me (and of course it wo... Thu, 4 Oct 2012 12:43:46 EST Inspiring words! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5083899 "I am more than a number on a scale"
"We are better than the bullies who try to take us down"
"Do not let your self worth be defined by bullies"
http://video.news8000.com/watch.php?id=3
6335

I watched this video today and these words just jumped out at me. Tue, 2 Oct 2012 14:12:14 EST Why is it.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5075509 nothing ever seems to go as planned? Here we were, happily planning a wedding, my 13 year old has been over the moon that she was asked to be in the wedding, then my darling niece finds out she is pregnant. Apparently happened while switching birth control on doctor's orders. Now, while we are happy for her, it does put a kink in wedding plans. Not sure if she will do just a small, intimate wedding maybe at Thanksgiving or if they will wait until after the baby is born (due date May 1). ... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 09:35:27 EST I'm so tired! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5070577 Home from the day at the zoo and after a late night last night I'm worn out! It was 11 when I got in last night then up at 630 to get ready to head to the zoo to get there by 8. Now I still have to take the kids to get a birthday present for a party tomorrow....I really just want a nap! Oh...and food> food was not on plan! Pancakes and sausage served at breakfast, bbq turkey (which was just nasty), brisket, cole slaw, beans and watermelon (at least I skipped the bread and took twice as mu... Sat, 22 Sep 2012 16:23:43 EST Wish me luck http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5067575 I'm about to brave the hall closet to look for my tennis shoes! Then I hope to go check out that gym (hey for $9 a month I'm not expecting much but it sure is better price wise than anywhere else!!) even figuring in gas costs vs the place about one mile from my house (which opens today supposedly but opening has been pushed back several times ($50 yearly machine maintenance fee then between $29 and $40 a month per person).
That is...if I can tear myself away from looking at wedding venu... Thu, 20 Sep 2012 09:45:16 EST Uggghhhh http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5064775 So I already dislike cooking (okay, actually might enjoy it if I didn't have to clean up afterwards and knew more of what I was doing) but I really don't like to cook when its just the kids and I. Maybe because they won't eat half of what I cook? Although I seldom make them special meals...well except the other day when I cooked fish and knew they wouldn't touch it (but then all they got was a turkey hot dog).
So....will I brave it and cook chicken tonight? or will I wimp out and tak... Tue, 18 Sep 2012 11:20:13 EST Pinterest http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5062052 So unlike me to do two blog posts in one day but thought of this and figured might as well otherwise I won't think of it later.
Pinterest was mentioned in comments during this past week. I've been there for a bit now and you can find me there if you'd like http://pinterest.com/sunnikc/
I have a board set up with recipes that I think (or know) I can use with the 17 day diet. Sun, 16 Sep 2012 19:31:57 EST Weigh in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5061345 So I thought for sure I'd have gained some back in all the turmoil of the past few weeks. I was not eating well (but then again most days was barely eating) and had not been drinking as much water, had not been getting my green tea, and had been drinking Diet Coke again. I got on the scale this morning fully expecting to be back to at least 325, maybe 330 (I have that 'fat' feeling). I started my journey at just barely under 340 back in mid June...just about my high point.
So what d... Sun, 16 Sep 2012 09:42:37 EST Not too bad yesterday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5058725 So technically day 1 of cycle 1. I actually still am under the weather (day 6 of 10 on antibiotics) and did not even feel hungry for the most part. I ate a piece of fruit and an egg for breakfast, then ate some carrots in the afternoon, then ate chicken, mushrooms, onions, peppers (like stir fry) and some steamed veggies for dinner. No where near what I should be eating but at least I ate....oh and did have some yogurt. Not enough on the water scale either. At least 32 oz but should be t... Fri, 14 Sep 2012 08:38:44 EST Well, what did I say about no excuses? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5056203 So much for that! I haven't started yet. My mother called me on Monday and was crying wanting me to come to the nursing home, so I did, then later they transfered my sister from there to the hospital then yesterday morning transferred her to the hospice unit there and she passed away just before 6pm last night. So was at the hospital and what I did eat was not what I should have -- I did get mushrooms--but um yeah they were fried--that was my dinner along with a bowl of vegetable soup on M... Wed, 12 Sep 2012 14:32:09 EST Supposed to be day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5052476 But sitting here just resting. In fact I don't even feel like eating. Started antibiotics yesterday and my stomach has been bothering me all morning (maybe antibiotic related, maybe sinus drainage related?) either way food doesn't even sound appealing in the least.
On the upside...since I don't feel like doing anything I'm on the couch curled up with my laptop researching beach weddings, wedding dresses for the beach (oh found so many she would be absolutely stunning in).
<img ... Mon, 10 Sep 2012 11:55:03 EST Back on track on Monday! And more motivated than EVER! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5051186 The wedding was fantastic yesterday! The bride was stunning but she won't hold a candle to my darling niece who got engaged late Thursday night! My niece is my heart---she was with me every weekend from the time she was 9 months old until she moved in with us when she was 8 (it is her mother who is in a nursing home with end stage liver disease). When she was 4 I took her on a little vacation and she kept calling me mom the whole time (Mom, I mean Aunt Nee...over and over until finally she... Sun, 9 Sep 2012 15:21:34 EST The train derailed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5043935 Yep, that diet train (or really that train to a new way of life!) jumped the tracks and derailed. It went so far off track that I'm calling a re-do. I haven't been handling the issues we had with my daughter well and frankly didn't really care what we ate. But, things are looking up and her mood is better and so is mine. Not feeling so depressed and ready to get the train headed back in the right direction. I guess it really could have been worse! We have a major fall festival here ever... Tue, 4 Sep 2012 12:22:54 EST R2 C1 D7 - what a weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5023645 So we ended up going out to eat --- AGAIN! But this time to a buffet where I was able to choose things like cabbage, green beans, chicken breasts, turkey breast, and salad. We were just going to have a salad at home and fix the kids sandwiches but went to visit my sister at the nursing home and found out my mother hadn't eaten anything but candy all day long so we high-jacked her and took her to eat.
Tonight it will be dinner at the casino...my vote will be for the buffet rather than t... Mon, 20 Aug 2012 16:15:41 EST R2 C1 D7 - a weigh in and an oops http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5022020 The day started out great! I weighing and am down another 3+lbs making a total since mid-June of 25.6 lbs. 224
Breakfast? Nice and compliant--two scrambled eggs with a little ketchup.
Water? 2 glasses before Church, then another 4 at lunch.
Lunch? So yeah...not the least compliant!! Pasta trio (swiss chard and ricotta ravioli with some type of pea sauce, fettuccine bolognese, and a penne of some sort), ceasar salad, some really amazing cabbage in a white wine mar... Sun, 19 Aug 2012 16:12:29 EST R2 C1 D6 -- nice and compliant today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5020981 Settling in now nicely---at least for the moment. Hard boiled egg for breakfast along with a few red grapes. Tuna salad for lunch---made with a little fat free mayo, mustard, eggs, tuna, yellow and orange bell peppers, celery seed, Tastefully Simple Spinach and herb which I served over a bed of shredded lettuce. Snack was a greek yogurt with peaches then later I mixed some Tastefully simple onion onion into a container of plain greek yogurt and had some of it with some carrots. Dinner is ... Sat, 18 Aug 2012 19:18:37 EST R2 C1 D5 -- not hungry http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5019695 So for the second day in a row I'm not feeling hungry at all. I did eat one piece of fruit this morning, then a slice of turkey breast around noon, but just can't make myself eat. I have a headache and I'm tired (of course the tired probably comes from waking up two hours earlier than I have most of the summer for the past 3 days). I'm sitting here thinking 'I know I need to fix dinner' but nothing sounds even remotely appealing. Turkey Taco Salad? Turkey Salsa burgers? chicken stir fry? A... Fri, 17 Aug 2012 16:08:48 EST Round 2 C1 D4 -- Sigh http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5017868 Not doing so well today....yesterday had issues on and off of my stomach hurting (and spent a good deal of time in the b.r. but then again you probably didn't want to know that.) Today I'm aching --- slight headache, shoulders, just muscles in general -- and I know it could be part of cycle 1--at least hoping it is and not coming down with something!
Then on top of that...my darling pain the rear daughter went yesterday for volleyball tryouts and after seeing the other girls trying out... Thu, 16 Aug 2012 10:14:34 EST Round 2 Cycle 1 day 3 --- proud mama today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5016560 So today my oldest started 8th grade and my youngest 6th. Both of them got up without problems, got ready (the oldest, my daughter, even put in her contacts and put on eyeliner) without complaining, and were ready to go in plenty of time giving them a chance to play on the computer for a bit before school (after school starting this year homework has to be complete and shown to us before they can have computer time). In fact they got to school 10 minutes before the doors even open so had to... Wed, 15 Aug 2012 11:57:05 EST Back on track and back on cycle 1 (day 2) --rising above http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5014986 I haven't blogged in awhile. Conference was great, very uplifting and just what I needed. It not only gave me a break from dealing with the issues with my sister but also gave me a much needed boost for my business which has taken a back seat while all this has been going on. The guest speaker at the conference was John O'Leary. His story touched us all and I can tell you there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Some of what he said I can also find myself applying to weight loss...start from... Tue, 14 Aug 2012 11:20:38 EST C3 D15 (two to go) What a roller coaster of emotions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4995629 I've posted about my sister....well...today we were told by the social worker at the hospice facility that she is going to be moved back to the nursing home. Nursing staff (and us) are not so thrilled...she is still in a lot of pain (in fact despite STRONG pain meds every 4 hours she was in tears after only two hours several times today alone)...she is still on a catheter (and hasn't been out of bed in almost 2 weeks)....the nurses are concerned she won't get the care she needs and that she ... Wed, 1 Aug 2012 00:20:37 EST C3 D14 -- Keeping busy! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4993725 So last night our neighborhood moms had a girls night out. We used to do this monthly but haven't had one in a good 4 or 5 months now....just because we've all been busy. I found out the gal that lives two doors down is also doing the 17 day diet and she is now down 50 lbs and hopes to lose another 50 by mid December. So now I have another cohort!
We had a great night....and didn't do too badly diet wise. Some salad, some fruit (yeah yeah I know it was after 2pm), one piece of toaste... Mon, 30 Jul 2012 20:35:35 EST C3 D13 - weigh in day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4991399 Time for an accountability check...got on the scale this morning and looked at the numbers. Thought...hmm...that can't be right can it? Oh please Lord let that be right! Got off the scale and got back on. Read the exact same number. Told my husband that I've got the same exact reading twice it has to be right. Decided maybe third time was in order. Same reading!! It's official. Since June 12 of this year I am down 22.6 lbs!!!
With everything that has been going on and the last t... Sun, 29 Jul 2012 09:05:57 EST C3 D11 -- another good on plan day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4989668 Feeling better today....ate well (although shy on fruits for the day---just a handful of grapes and what fruit was mixed in with yogurt). Actually had whole wheat pasta tonight for dinner and my son was thrilled that we were having pasta for dinner. Still low on water for the day but did get two teas in today. I did have a small cheat (three bites) and took a bit of freshly baked chocolate chip cookie while at the hospital.
Looking forward to getting out of town for a few days! We... Fri, 27 Jul 2012 18:13:51 EST C3 D10 -- better http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4988391 Well, today was more like a cycle 2 day but that's not a bad thing...I'm working hard on focusing on getting the probiotics in and lots of veggies and my fruits. Had two servings of fruits (grapes and apples), one yogurt with fruit, one plain yogurt (used in place of sour cream on a taco salad), made a taco salad with lots of shredded lettuce, ground beef, pinto beans (not refried beans), tomatoes, salsa and just a little bit of low fat cheese, one wheat flour tortilla (I guess there was a c... Thu, 26 Jul 2012 20:41:42 EST C3 D9 --- think I'm figuring out a problem http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4986043 So last blog I talked of how this latest cycle isn't doing it for me...well...think I know why. I've been SO busy, between cleaning house for the new dishwasher (and so its clean when I leave next week), getting ready to leave next week (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!), moving my sister from nursing home to hospice facility, then visiting daily at the hospital, and my son's birthday...that I haven't focused as much on the diet. Am I watching (for the most part---last night aside...lol) what I eat? Ye... Wed, 25 Jul 2012 09:47:44 EST C3 D8 -- Happy Birthday wishes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4984399 to my little guy. My son turns 11 today! *technically he is already 11 since he was born in the middle of the night
His choice for birthday dinner? Famous Daves bbq So now I'm perusing the menu making plans on what to order when we go.
But before then? A visit to the hospital, then home to clean the kitchen to get ready for the new dish washer to be delivered on Thursday. I started the process but with everything going on with my sister never finished....figured I'd better get it... Tue, 24 Jul 2012 07:42:04 EST C3 D6 -- wow missed a blog day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4981523 Yesterday was hectic and just an overall screwed up day. We started out good. Went to the new aquarium in town...stood outside in upper 80 degree heat for half an hour before we decided to bypass the line and just buy annual passes ---we still had another good hour in line. By the time we finished there it was lunch time and we were going to go out to eat but my daughter was not feeling well and looked pale and clammy. So home we go (funny how after she got some water and went to the bath... Sun, 22 Jul 2012 10:08:39 EST C3 D4 -- hooked on tea and an oops day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4979774 Well I flubbed up today....lol...but it was good (and could have made worse choices). Went to see my sister today and after stopped by Taco Bueno and got lunch for the kids and myself and I ordered the wrong item and ended up with the nacho salad instead of the taco salad (chips, beans, beef, queso, lettuce and tomato). Thought, okay, I'll just eat half...um...yeah no....ate the whole darn thing. Then tonight we went out to eat....we let our son choose and he chose a buffet. Okay...not so... Fri, 20 Jul 2012 21:43:03 EST C3 D3 - and a big yawn http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4977867 I got on the scale this morning (forgot to on Sunday before I had breakfast) and not liking this!! It went up 3 pounds in the last week and a half. I am also retaining water which was just about gone in cycle 1. As for foods on cycle 3 so far? I really haven't veered much off 1 and 2....except for some Fiber One cereal yesterday and multi grain bread today.
I'm also very tired right now (so second day of housework is not getting done)....but most of that is because I was up until af... Thu, 19 Jul 2012 13:47:37 EST C3 D2 -- House cleaning day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4976194 Well the kids and I are going to be cleaning house today. Our dishwasher has quit getting the dishes clean and in an effort to figure out what was wrong dishes have been stacking up...so now I'm washing them all by hand (taking a break right now while some soak for a bit). Thing is...I can only use one side of the sink right now...our garbage disposal also went out (we have a new one, it just isn't in yet) and that side of the sink leaks as a result. So....I'm washing, then putting on a to... Wed, 18 Jul 2012 13:13:51 EST C3 D1 -- changes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4974745 I'm thinking a lot about changes. Changes I need to make in my life. Along the past 34 days I've made a few changes, related to physical health. I no longer HAVE to have my Diet Coke every day. In fact I haven't had one in 4 days! Do I miss it? Yes, but now it is a reward and a treat rather than something I have to have. I've even made it easier and when my husband and I did go out to eat together (alone!!) the night before last I chose a restaurant with Pepsi products so I wouldn't be ... Tue, 17 Jul 2012 14:57:23 EST D17 C2 - Cycle 3 here I come ready or not http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4972463 Wow another cycle down at the end of the day. I haven't lost any more (as of Sunday was actually up .6 from the Sunday before)....but hanging in there...keeping the faith. I need to re-read cycle 3's chapter today.
I've been drinking my water....can't seem to do the lemon water in the morning though. It's just too hot again to think about anything hot! Heck I don't even want to grill outside it is too hot (97 today, 100's the rest of the week).
The past few days have been off ... Mon, 16 Jul 2012 09:15:05 EST D15 C2 -- I have to go shoe shopping http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4970205 Yes...HAVE to...I adore shoes but hate shopping for them because they never fit right. But...my feet are not as swollen as they used to be before starting the 17 Day Diet lifestyle. I found out a couple years ago (when I splurged and bought a really, really good pair of shoes that fit wonderfully and are so comfortable but look like crap with a dress or skirt...lol) that I wear a 9 1/2 WW --that explains why I have to go to 10's and more often than not even 11's to get shoes that fit. But.... Sat, 14 Jul 2012 16:09:57 EST D14 C2 I think I need a nap! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4968999 I think I could fall asleep right now! Went to Worlds of Fun today and we ended up doing about 2 1/2 times around the park with hills and stairs. Even ate lunch there and chose a Caesar salad with dressing on the side and just dipped my fork in the dressing then picked up the lettuce. My feet are sore! I was doing just fine until we went on a water ride and our feet got soaked....then my shoes rubbed until they had dried. Now I just want a nap!!
I did cheat just a bit....lol...my d...
