A lot. And my kids have been begging me to go to Red Robin. Well, I just haven't felt strong enough to do it, so I've put them off. (I LOVE the fries at RR).

Today, however, I decided I have to actually LIVE like this, so I'd better start figuring out how. So, off to Red Robin we went.

I looked at the salads.... either full of fried chicken, tortilla chips, sour cream or other "not so good" things....... Fri, 1 Feb 2013 21:57:31 EST Progress is GOOD So, I'm down 28 pounds officially... I will hopefully break the bit 3-0-0 number by the end of next week. My clothes are fitting better, and I have more energy. All good things!

Watching Biggest Loser last night reminds me that there is so much more work to do. There isn't just the physical work, the planning, the cooking, etc. There is a whole truck load of emotional work I have to do. Right now, it's fairly easy.... no one sees much of a difference, I'm just more active, but... Tue, 29 Jan 2013 15:54:04 EST Random thoughts and questions I wonder where the fat goes when you lose it?

I wonder how long before I'll see actual changes in my body? Will I even notice?

I wonder how long before anyone else notices?

I wonder how I'll react when they DO notice.

Since when did eating a tiny bit of steak, some broccoli and 3 shrimp fill me up? Uncomfortably full.

I wonder how many people snack during Biggest Loser?

I wonder when climbing stairs became something I want to... Mon, 21 Jan 2013 20:40:10 EST Habits As I am moving down this road to health, I am realizing just how much of my life revolves around habits.

When I watch football, I must snack.

When I sit and read, I like a little snack.

When the kids go to bed, I like a little snack.

When I travel, I like to snack in my hotel room (mostly because I'm bored to death).

I generally eat fairly healthy meals....but its the snacking that kills me. So, these habits have got to go. One at a tim... Sun, 20 Jan 2013 11:03:56 EST Change is hard Surprisingly, I detest change. I always thought I loved change, and that change kept things alive and new.

However, after a year of MUCH change (i.e.: new job, new state, new house, new friends, new church...and on and on), I was happy to stay in status quo. But then, I saw a stupid commercial for a weight loss program, and it hit me.... I HAVE to change. It's not really a choice any more.... things have to change in order for my life to be what I want it to be.

I m... Sun, 13 Jan 2013 17:55:17 EST New Life So, this journey began because I'm tired.

I'm tired of dreading that the kids might need something upstairs, and I'd have to actually climb up those stairs.

I'm tired of traveling for work, but never wanting to get on a plane because the seatbelt doesn't fit.

I'm tired of looking around a room and trying to judge what chair is going to fit, and/or not break when I sit in it.

I'm tired of telling my kids "someday"... someday we'll go on a hike, som...
