Miss Eleanor Ann was born on April 27th at 9:08am. She was 7lbs 9oz and 20.5 inches long.

Things are going well. I am working to get my eating back on track (as always). Breastfeeding has helped me get back to my normal weight, but now I need to get my exercise routine going because I miss feeling fit. Not that I felt super fit before, but I was running and working out on the regular and I ... Tue, 19 Apr 2016 16:14:38 EST Eating right is still a fight http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5950719 Well, here I am, now 30 years old, and I am back to tracking my food on here. It amazes me how little I paid attention to what I ate over this past year. I have been logging my food and exercise for 2 weeks now and things are getting much better.

I've been dealing with acid reflux/GERD for the last year, and I finally faced the truth and realized that I have gained about 30 pounds since I started teaching. I am strong, it's not like I just sit and eat and don't do anything all day... Thu, 25 Jun 2015 09:15:38 EST Consistency in Fitness! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5879282 Well, it has been a little while since I have been on my Spark Page, so I thought I would check in and leave a little bit about what I have been up to.

I successfully have kept a consistent exercise routine since June now. I ran from June to December, and finally gave in to the really cold temps and got a membership card to the fitness room at our Community Center. At first, I felt like a bit of a wimp because I love running outside so much, but it ended up being the best thing to ... I finally got promoted to SGT, which was nice. This year, I passed my APFT again, but failed weight. I have found myself in this spot where I am strong, but overweight. I guess strong with fitness, but weak with my eating habits.

Last school year, I made a promise to myself that I was going to stay active during the school year. Tue, 1 Jul 2014 21:07:01 EST Lesson Learned, Now to move on http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5398473 Well, my record of impeccable diet was interrupted yesterday. We went to the range and a normal thing to do there is hang out, drink beer, and have fun. I hit my breaking point when everyone kept offering me beer. I drank several and had a great time. I am a little bummed that I didn't stand strong, but at the same time, it shows me that all work and no play will make me reach that breaking point, so I must allow myself a day here and there to enjoy things like beer, pizza, and french fri... Sat, 22 Jun 2013 17:44:03 EST Tracking when you don't eat the best http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5397162 So as I have had a great week and a half of eating and exercise and have managed to lose 5 lbs since I have been at AT, I have started thinking about tracking my food a little more. Some evenings I will eat a piece of dark chocolate or have a few Twizzlers. I think to myself, "Well, I am way withing calorie range, so I don't really need to track this," but that's not true. It's most important to track those little snacks and those things that aren't necessarily on the 'plan' for the day. ... Fri, 21 Jun 2013 09:27:52 EST Report http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5395538 So, eating has still been spot on. I've been keeping up with workouts and feeling pretty good about next week's physical fitness test and weigh-in.

I don't have much to report, but I am ready to go home. This AT has worn thin on me and I am doing all that I can to keep from getting grouchy and whiny. I am proud of myself for sticking to a strict diet and exercise program, but I am ready to have something else to do. Sitting in that armory all day with no sunlight is sucking t... Wed, 19 Jun 2013 19:33:36 EST So, So, Sodium! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5392407 Well, I have had a lovely time enjoying my hotel room and my couple days off from army stuff. Used the fitness room, ate some fresh fruit and cereal from the free breakfast bar, had some coffee, enjoyed not having to get dressed immediately after a shower (it's the little things), went shopping and found two pairs of shorts that fit and are not booty shorts! I have such a hard time finding shorts. I am short and round, so anything that fits my waist is too baggy everywhere else. I like be... It was a rough start since last night was the first night I actually slept for more than an hour and I slept pretty hard, but it wasn't long enough. I did roll my booty out of bed, though, and by the end of my run, I felt really freaking good!

I showered and headed to the armory with my packed healthy lunch. We had a long day of boring stuff...kind of. I enjoyed the playing we did today. I am in the Army Nationa... Wed, 12 Jun 2013 22:19:24 EST I resisted the no-bakes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5386240 A lady in our unit brought in some no bake cookies. Those chocolate/peanut butter/oatmeal ones. She makes the best cookies anyway, but we LOVE these things. She somehow makes them better than everyone else. Anyway, she brought in a huge tub of them for everyone that's been voting for her daughter in this local competition. There they sat...ALL DAY...people helped themselves to the sweet treats as they pleased. I thought, "I could have one." But I knew what that would mean. It wouldn't... Tue, 11 Jun 2013 20:38:46 EST Killing calories http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5385057 PRT this morning--Sprint work. I ran 2 miles of 60-120s (sprint for 60 seconds, jog for 120). I kicked my own butt. It was good stuff.

Breakfast was provided for us, and I ate a little bit of eggs, potatoes (not fried), and bacon. I was really hungry after running and let myself make this plate...it wasn't even that good, then I noticed the cereal after I sat down. At least I know for tomorrow.

Cleaned up and got back to work. It was an interesting day. I had to e... Mon, 10 Jun 2013 21:14:40 EST AT and me http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5383829 So we started our 2 weeks of Annual Training for National Guard yesterday. It's going to be a long couple of weeks because we don't have very many gigs, but good practice and we are doing PRT (Physical Readiness Training--working out) as a unit, so that will give me extra workouts. We also have an awesome fitness room at the armory now, so I just bring a change of clothes and hit the "gym" once we are off work for the day. Well, yesterday I went running, today I used the fitness room. <BR... Sun, 9 Jun 2013 21:55:35 EST From lazing like a bum to getting things done! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5374150 I wasn't too motivated today. Or yesterday...but this blog is about today.

I sat around on the couch, attached to my laptop. I have another blog that I just set up about teaching music, so I have been messing with that a lot. I was trying to figure out how to get my mojo back. What usually pulls me out of a mood is either music or exercise. Either playing music, listening/studying scores for next year, or working out just flips me right around and puts me on the track to produ... We have these gnats here this year, called "buffalo gnats" that are insane! Not like Shawn T insane, but really insane. In the mornings, they aren't so bad, but by noon, they are all over the place and they swarm your face. Anyway, we survived the gnats and walked for about 40 minutes.

After that, we came home and ate a healthy lunch... I will admit, every once in a while I get the itch to buy the "Insane-Hip-Hop-P90-Abs-Pumped-Free-Bonus-
Workouts" DVDs, but when I get up and I turn on the TV for some background noise (like now), I have been putting it on these infomercials. We still haven't found a specific 5k that we can do with our schedules yet, but we did get up and do a little interval training this morning. He is new to running, so we took it easy. After we did our 20 minutes we continued to walk for about another hour and a half on the trail. We were worn out at the end. Stopped by Subway for some break... I have not let my health quest fall to the side. I have come to realize that I cannot lose 1-2 lbs per week while keeping up with my job, though. I am the only teacher in grades 6-12 for music, so I have 7 performing ensembles that I have to keep up with. This week is contest week...so today I took the concert band, tomorrow I take the choir, and then Friday I take my soloists and small ensembles. We have been so i... I successfully worked out 15 minutes each day before school. It wore me out, but it was a good worn-out feeling. I also told my students all about it. We talked about resolutions and how they only work if you have a plan, otherwise "New Years Resolutions" are just a big joke that seem to end up more of an exc... He mentioned that the guy that won the bid didn't want the house anymore. We found out that he only outbid us by a few hundred bucks, so we got another bid in, and BAM! We got it! I am very excited. My band concert has been flooded out and rescheduled twice, the choir amazed everyone with their awesome Show Choir piece at their concert (that I just so happened to write all the choreography for!), my second nephew was born, Josh ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM (of course I said yes), and I had my 26th birthday. The end of the school year has been crazy, crazier than a typical year. Today we were out due to flooding...looks like maybe tomorrow, too. That hurts because I have a band concert on Thursday :-(

Other than crazy school stuff, I have been maintaining weight for the most part. I was pretty happy, even though I thought I worked plenty hard the last two weeks and was hoping to see the 140s. This morning, I decided to double check the scale, and ta-da, 149. I checked like 3 times before officially accepting it. I am happy that I am back to the 140s, BUT I have to keeeeep going. This puts me 14 pounds from my goal. I have never been below 143 during my adult life...probably not since my sophomore year in high school. Anywa... Missed it by a couple pounds...one percent when taped for BF%. Not too bummed about it, though. I have 6 weeks to drop those pounds, and surely it will be done ;-)

Ate badly this past weekend :-( Being away from home and eating in social situations lead me to make poor choices. The weekend is over, and it could have been worse. This week will be GREAT, and this weekend, even better. The scale seems to be cooperating a little more... Tue, 15 Feb 2011 21:44:44 EST I've had one day of school this week... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4007674 And next week is going to be rough. With contest coming up in a month and little progress made so far, these snow days are becoming my enemy. I really hope there aren't any more in the future. We need to be back on a normal schedule. The students are so unfocused and hard to work with thanks to all of this craziness.

One thing I have had thanks to the snow days, is plenty of workout time. I did 70 minutes on the elliptical today with strength training. No luck with the scale,... Thu, 10 Feb 2011 18:46:45 EST Adios Nachos...por favor? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3996502 After my wonderful butt-kicking week, I was feeling pretty good, and still hanging on strong to my goals. I wanted to go out and do something yesterday, hang with some friends, whatever. I suggested shopping, even though I really didn't need anything in particular, it seemed much safer than our usual margarita hour. Needless to say, my plan was vetoed. We ended up at the Mexican restaurant, and I had a couple margaritas and a huge plate of nachos. It was bad. I tried to prep myself the ... I always get stuck in the 140's, so while I am aiming to hit them next week like a charged bull, I am not AIMING for them. We had a full day of school (were worried we'd leave early b/c of snow), my classes went well, my eating was right on, and I ACCIDENTALLY worked out way more than I had intended to. How? I set my laptop up in front of the elliptical and got on Hulu (we got rid of cable, so I can only watch movies in that room now). I found the latest season of The Biggest Loser, and well, the episode was much longer than I thought. I am not a BL follower. I like the show, but ha... Wed, 2 Feb 2011 22:33:21 EST Conference, school, etc. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3978838 Well, the conference went well, for the most part. I enjoyed a lot of the clinics and performances, it was a crazy busy schedule. I did well with my eating throughout the day until dinner :-( The people I was with wanted to go elsewhere from where I wanted to go, and by the time we went out, I was starving and did not use great control. I did manage to get up and get a workout in on Saturday, to include a mile run on the treadmill. It's been a while since I have ran, it felt good.
... Eating was good today. I am proud of myself for coming home worn out and still getting elliptical, ST, and my video game workout. My arms hurt from sit-ups and Mel B (the video game) had kickboxing for my workout today! Woo! It helps that I don't have school tomorrow, so I don't have to worry about being in bed too early. The scale said 152 this morning, and that was pretty cool because lately it hasn't moved from 154. Hopefully it will read at least the same tomorrow.

I got a good workout in this morning, did 40 on the elliptical, push ups, sit ups, and then my Mel B video game. She had me do another dance workout, which I like, but I was thinking it was a fitness day. I need to try and do that thing everyday. The workouts are on... LoL, as much as I love sleeping in until 7:30 (as opposed to 5:30), I can stay on track much better when I get up and go to work each day. This past week has been down and up (no, not up and down), because my first snow day and the night before I did not behave. Friday was a little better because I made myself get on the elliptical, and yesterday was a great day.

I made such a yummy dinner for myself last night and measured everything! And work has been good, too! I am glad that I got the job that I have, it fits me so well.

Scale is still not too compliant with me, but pants are starting to fit a little better and I feel MUCH better, so those accomplishments will hold me over until the numbers decide to cooperate.

Got my hair cut today. Just went in for a trim and some longer layers...ended up getting quite a bit cut off thanks to... Sat, 15 Jan 2011 20:29:56 EST Facing the Numbers....again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3871755 And once again on this never-ending journey, I must face the numbers on the scale and change my weight ticker on here. There were those 3-4 days where I thought, well it might go back down, it could be water weight...blah blah blah...but it has come to the time where I must face it and say "No, Krystle, you slacked off and the pounds packed on..."

It's alright, though. At least I am making myself face them instead of avoiding them and pretending everything is just fine. The holi... Thu, 30 Dec 2010 12:41:18 EST Today--a nice step forward... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3863363 After my rut of a month...and my crappy mood about the scale numbers being up and my energy and motivation being down, I had a great day!

Josh and I made a pact to clean up the house today. We have some friends coming in town tomorrow and we are all going to go out and they will probably end up crashing here, which is always fun, but I wanted to make sure our house looked nice. And now it does :-)

I got much cleaning done, and clutter moved out! We also ate healthy, I... Sun, 26 Dec 2010 18:11:31 EST Holiday Health Meter--- http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3862677 Reading: 39

I have done a poor job of taking care of myself this past month. Josh and I have both been bad about eating junk food and not getting exercise in. He has done good with caring about it though. He used to not care at all if he ate like a pig and sat on his butt too much. Now, he is paying more attention to it, SO that is helpful to me. We are both making commitments to this week and going to cook healthy food and get on the elliptical and such. It's nice... Sun, 26 Dec 2010 10:34:27 EST Holiday Season http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3857541 So...lots of things going on.

Overall the holiday season this year has been much better, mainly thanks to NOT having to work in retail!!! It's so nice. I have even put up some Christmas lights this year! It's nice having a Christmas break that I don't have to work during! I have even made Christmas cookies!!! I NEVER bake, lol. Trying my hardest to NOT eat them.

I have been struggling with exercise lately. Trying to get back on track...seems like I have been doing... Wed, 22 Dec 2010 11:52:02 EST Grargh Mondays... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3771211 So, since I have started teaching, I have come to dislike Mondays! Some are really rough, others are just 'blah.' Today was a simple 'blah.' It's difficult to get the students focused and making the same amount of progress as the previous Thursday-Friday. It's getting better, but it's still such a cold start. I am continuously trying to think of activities/warm-ups to stimulate their foggy-Monday-morning brains.

Outside of work...I want to get outside of work, lol. I love my ... Mon, 8 Nov 2010 19:41:42 EST Size 10 Levis! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3768804 Josh and I went for a drive to eat some world-class barbeque yesterday at a place called 17th Street. It was good stuff...then we went shopping a bit. I wanted some new jeans and a sweater or two. I needed to find some new jeans because I haven't a pair that fit me right. I bought me a pair of Levi's low bootcut size 10! I was excited because they fit! I don't have to squeeze into them, and they don't fall off of my booty. Josh likes them and said my butt looks nice in them :-) LoL I... Sun, 7 Nov 2010 21:51:52 EST Missing My Spark Peeps http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3760745 Well, here I am, should be getting into bed, but I just had to put a little something up on my blog.

Weighed in again at 146, so the ticker finally changed. I was a little bad over the weekend with my beer intake, but I think it's going to be okay. It was fun anyway :-) I was a 'devil with a blue dress on.'

And yes, my house went as "A MESS." LoL...

Anyway, trying to stay active at least wh... Wed, 3 Nov 2010 23:35:33 EST
