Had a real spring in my step when I left for school today and I think it showed while I was at work. Just an all-around good day.

And since it's Friday I also got to do my weekly partial walk home too. The sky had been slightly overcast most of the day but still very warm. Thunder rumbles occasionally just to keep me on my toes but I keep a rain poncho in my backpack. Didn't need it since it was all noise an... Fri, 24 Feb 2017 19:59:00 EST Early Spring? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6320493 It has been warm here in Michigan the past couple of days. Warmer than February should be that's for sure. High 50's to mid-60's. We are expecting 70 tomorrow (my walk home from school day). Since my winter wardrobe consists of 99% fleece tops (my school is kept cool) it has been interesting dressing. With tomorrow's expected heat I truly have no idea what I will be wearing. No coat for sure since walking home gets me pretty heated up anyway.

Last night it was pretty warm in ... Thu, 23 Feb 2017 18:58:46 EST Sick, Part 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6319997 Most of what I had is gone now. The extreme tiredness is finally over though the barking cough is hanging on.

At least I was able to take my planned vacation to Phoenix over the past weekend. Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst time to visit Phoenix. It was cold and either raining or snowing. Yes, snowing. I left Michigan for Arizona for 4 days and it was mid-60's in Michigan and snowing in Arizona. At the Grand Canyon, my sole reason for going, it was so foggy we saw... Wed, 22 Feb 2017 18:59:32 EST Being Sick, Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6315937 Over Christmas break I was sick. 2-1/2 weeks of coughing and sleeping and just general crud. Doctor said I was just going to have to wait it out and it took longer than I think either of us thought it would. Saturday evening I started feeling icky again. Fell asleep around 7:30. And even when I actually put myself to bed I was thinking "there goes my Spark Spreak". Woke up off and on Sunday to coughing. Moved from recliner to bed all day. Ate very little and felt awful.

Mon... Tue, 14 Feb 2017 10:11:26 EST Hurray for Rain! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6312835 My last entry I talked about how people and businesses who don't clear their sidewalks make it difficult for walking. Yesterday it rained all day. Poured actually, and all that rain cleared the sidewalks for me. It was pure bliss this morning walking. Nothing to impede me, weather was 30 and not windy - just perfect. It was wonderful to get out and about again and walk with purpose instead of having to be so careful where and how I stepped. Great start to my day! Wed, 8 Feb 2017 11:44:56 EST Snowy Sidewalks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6309810 Went for my morning walk today which was made more difficult by the fact that no one has cleaned off their sidewalks (again!). We had a warmish day yesterday so anywhere anyone had walked is now ice with the snow on top. It was too hazardous to walk. I got about halfway down the street heading to the park and my usual morning loop and just couldn't do it. It was taking too long trying to remain upright so I had to turn around. On my way back I would do a loop in every driveway or parking... Thu, 2 Feb 2017 19:18:55 EST Bad day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6307368 I had a can of pop today. I'm not happy with myself but it was a stressful day and I didn't have any carbonated water cold. Excuses I know. Back on the pop-free wagon again. Sun, 29 Jan 2017 16:49:41 EST Fish Salad http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6305617 DD made fish sticks yesterday for dinner. She uses them in tacos and salads. I have never had them in salad before so I tried it out. We had spinach so I put quite a bit in a bowl. Then I cut each fish stick in half (they are pretty small to begin with) and laid them on the spinach. Then I added Mrs Renfro's jalapeno salsa to each stick. Just a tiny bit cause it is pretty potent stuff. Then I jabbed a lot of spinch on my fork and one piece of fish stick - Yowza! Fantastic! Who would ... Thu, 26 Jan 2017 11:59:00 EST Wednesday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6305215 5AM and weather.com tells me it is 35 degrees outside. I put on my warmest coat and my reflector vest and head out. O-M-G is is nice out. Sure you can see your breath but it feels ways warmer than 35. I decide to do a medium sized walk so I don't get too overheated. Lovely, lovely morning that is for sure.

I am starting a new audiobook today. "Brass Verdict" by Michael Connelly. It is my second Mickey Haller (Lincoln Lawyer) book. New narrator for me and after a while he ... Wed, 25 Jan 2017 18:44:24 EST Recycling Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6304408 Yesterday it got up to a really nice 42. It actually seemed warmer so I opened the front door for Max the cat to gaze out of. He seems to love to watch out the door at the cars and people who go past our apartment. He usually gets a lot of comments too - maybe that's what he's really after, other people to talk with him. 334

DD and I had a lot of running around yesterday too. I had numerous tasks to accommplish before I got home anyway so I picked up a large salad ... Tue, 24 Jan 2017 11:48:14 EST Sparkling Mineral Water - is it allowed? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6303929 I am giving up soda pop again. I didn't drink it for years and then got hooked when I lost one of my kidneys a few years ago (the hospital keep giving me ginger ale to drink). Got back off it again only to discover that they still made Fanta while in Seattle last summer. It is an evil monkey. Last week I started drinking Perrier sparkling mineral water. Turns out it isn't really the soda pop flavor that I enjoy but the bubbles. Drinking a small bottle of Perrier after work is such a tre... Mon, 23 Jan 2017 18:03:51 EST Walking with Heartburn? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6302110 I have discovered, thru trial and error, that I absolutely can not eat anything before walking. I usually walk in the wee early hours of morning before my breakfast anyway but there are days (unfortunately today was one) that I am so hungry that I need something before heading out. Since today was Friday that means that I walk home from school.

It was a lovely day, a bit overcast but warmish. Right after I leave school I have to cross a fairly busy road and then BAM I'm in th... Fri, 20 Jan 2017 18:36:01 EST House News http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6300927 Currently our house is just a shell with a roof and most of the windows. Five windows were not included in the original shipment and we keep waiting for them to show up. Last week we met with the HVAC guy to decide where the heating and cold air ducts would be located. Tomorrow we are meeting the electrician and then Friday will be the plumber. Today our contractor called and we need to pick out our bath cabinets NOW before the plumber arrives so he knows how tall, how wide, where they are... Wed, 18 Jan 2017 19:59:15 EST Finally feeling better http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6296677 It has been 3-1/2 weeks of sickness for me. Last night was the first night in weeks that I haven't had to take a Musinex to help me sleep without coughing all night. It was a blessing that is for sure. Today I didn't take one before school either. Some slight coughing but nothing that makes my chest ache so I think I am finally on the mend.

Went for a short walk yesterday afternoon. DD had class and wanted me to get back home before she left. That left me with only one hour t... Thu, 12 Jan 2017 11:45:54 EST Morning Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6291175 Going to try to recreate the long blog I finished typing and then lost. That has happened to me numerous times here on SP and I don't know how or why. I just spent way more time than I should have trying to find it but it appears to be truly lost.

Slept in until 7:45 today. That is a really long time for me since I am naturally an early riser. This cold/sickness has really punched me down. I sleep longer than I normally do, I get tired faster, I don't eat much. Taking a walk ... Wed, 4 Jan 2017 12:47:45 EST Feeling a Bit Better, Finally http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6289717 The shingles are on the new house! It is beautiful too which is a weird thing to say for shingles. This little pause in the winter has really helped get the house back on track. Still waiting on the windows for the front of the house but all the ones for the sides and back are in and they look fantastic! Went over last week and walked around inside a bit. It seemed really small to me so DH and I went back later and he measured all the rooms. DD's room is slightly larger while the den is... Mon, 2 Jan 2017 17:48:53 EST RunTheEdge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6288159 RunTheEdge has popped up on my facebook two years in a row. Last year I really looked hard at it but decided that I didn't want to spend the money since I was coming off an 8,000,000 step year. This year, fraught with illness and foot maladies has me at a much smaller step count - about half of last year. This year I ponied up the $25 and signed up! It starts tomorrow. I'm excited but still fighting this illness. I will do what I can to compete. Sat, 31 Dec 2016 18:07:59 EST Max the Cat http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6287613 My sweet little Max, his photo is my meme, has been such a trouper this week. He usually doesn't sleep with us in cool weather only in hot. Don't know why that's just how he is. But this week he has been pasted to me. Not down by my feet in his usual spot but right up next to me. I think cats can tell when we need just a bit more snuggling than usual when we are ill. I know I have felt his concern for me.

Last night I didn't sleep much because of the coughing. Oh goodness the cou... Fri, 30 Dec 2016 19:10:10 EST Sick again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6287131 I have been battling a cold for the past three days and, no, I didn't win. Did nothing but sleep Tuesday and Wednesday. Yesterday I got the least amount of steps I have ever gotten - slightly over 1,000 - just from walking from my bed to the restroom and back again. DD was amazed since I actually put myself to bed in the middle of the day I was so sleepy. But I am feeling quite a bit better today (after a nice long hot shower) and texted DH this morning that I was still alive. My new found ... Thu, 29 Dec 2016 18:12:49 EST Christmas Lights Tour http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6285180 Christmas dinner with my sisters and families yesterday evening. And yes, another carb heavy meal. Luckily this sister has a much smaller house and I was able to locate those celery sticks myself and gorge. I had a tiny square of ham since our farmer friend gave us a huge ham for the holidays and we've been eating on it all week. When DH and I walked in to sister's house and spied that ham we both looked at each other. His portion during dinner was about the size of mine - 1x1 inches! <B... Sun, 25 Dec 2016 11:10:44 EST The Wonders of the Headlamp http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6283897 Today started out at 20 degress at 6AM. Wonderful to my eyes to see a 2 digit number finally. I was feeling lazy so I wore my PJ's out, who could tell in the dark? Put on my sweater, heavy coat, reflector vest, earphones, headlamp, hiking boots, ear muffs, thinsulate gloves and grabbed my walking poles. Off I went.

I have to say the headlamp has got to be the best addition to my morning walks. I can see! There are still many businesses that have not shoveled their walkways bu... Wed, 21 Dec 2016 18:40:21 EST Cold Weather http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6282593 This cold snap is killing my walking regime. I haven't been able to walk long outside the past 3 days because it makes my chest hurt when I breath. If I keep my nose and mouth covered it subsides so I guess that would be the answer but I really hate covering my nose too. I takes turns covering and uncovering with my neck gaiter. Fresh air - I just need fresh air.

And what is with the no shoveling sidewalks? Residents shovel theirs but businesses do not. That really bugs me an... Sun, 18 Dec 2016 18:09:44 EST New Walking Gear http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6280534 So with the new cold wave going thru I had to get out the biggest, bulkiest coat I own. It is warm and that is really all that matters on super cold days. Over that I wear my reflector vest since I walk in the wee early hours before light shines in the sky. Yesterday I decided that I would need my alpine trekking poles since it is also so snowy and icy (translate - no one seems to clear the sidewalks around our apartment complex).

So today I head out with just one pole in one ha... Tue, 13 Dec 2016 19:00:34 EST First Snow Day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6280004 Heck of a snow storm last night. No school today. DH and I attempted a walk down the road but were met with snowcovered, impassable sidewalks. At least we got down to the next apartment complex (there are many located in our area) and just walked around in there for a bit. We came out on the other side only to find more impassable sidewalks so we turned around.

When we got home I went in search of my trekking poles. Haven't used them in over a year and I had to go online and ... Mon, 12 Dec 2016 16:12:34 EST The Beginning of Snow (ick) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6278236 The first of many snowstorms started my day off today. Cold winds, icy roads, not much actual snow but the weatherman keeps threatening us with "lake effect" which usually dumps more than I prefer on us. I actually don't mind snow or cold but the wind - Lordy I detest wind even on nice days. I wore my hiking boots a few days ago for the first time this season and got a nice blister for my effort. Took 2 days off from them but needed them again today for traction. So far my blistered foot... Thu, 8 Dec 2016 19:05:05 EST Another week begins http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6276613 Ever since we moved into the apartment complex where we currently live I have lost a pound a week, once even two pounds. But last week - nothing. Didn't gain either, so that was good, but I'm a bit disappointed in that I didn't lose. I had some problems with my heels and my vericose veins have been killing me lately so perhaps I'm not walking as much as I should. Will ramp my exercise routine back up this week and hopefully break out of the slump.

Walked this morning in 35 degr... Mon, 5 Dec 2016 10:02:01 EST Fluctuating Air Fare http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6272857 I have been watching the prices of airline tickets the past couple of days. I think I should probably clear out my internet history since the prices are climbing each time I look. Last evening I could have booked first class round trip tickets to San Francisco for $400, today those same tickets are almost $700. As airline, same flight schedule. It makes me sad since I just sent out a facebook message to my niece in San Francisco about my possible trip there. I haven't seen her in about 5... Sun, 27 Nov 2016 15:06:45 EST Thanksgiving http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6271978 Yesterday was Thanksgiving dinner at one of my older sister's home. In the past they have 1) told me the wrong time so I would be there at least an hour before anyone else, 2) started dinner without me, 3) never, ever eat anything that I bring as a passing dish (that really bugs me). To say the least I positively dread this family function.

This year I decided that I wouldn't put forth much effort. They don't appreciate what I bring anyway and I just end up bringing it back home... Fri, 25 Nov 2016 11:56:45 EST Great Shopping Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6271286 Half day at school today. For me it ended up being just 2 hours, hardly worth the drive in but I have a computer lab to run so off I went.

After school DD and I headed off to Ann Arbor to the mall there (Briarwood). Mostly it is because I wanted to try on some Lands End fleece tops to see what size I would wear. I've been losing 1-2 pounds a week since we have moved into the apartment and my clothes are looking kinda baggy. Especially my pants but I've already ordered those in ... Wed, 23 Nov 2016 19:21:30 EST Lovely Walking Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6270836 Yesterday morning was 25 degrees and felt very chilly. I had a hard time keeping my hands warm even inside my warmest gloves. This morning it was only 21 when I hit the pavement but it felt wonderful. My fingers were only cold for a brief amount of time. I had a lot of pep in my step it was so nice out. No wind? Maybe that was it. I walked further than ever this morning and as I was heading back I saw the bus pull out of the complex. Had me worried for a few minutes since usually I ge... Tue, 22 Nov 2016 18:11:51 EST Long Cold Weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6270341 Last Friday was 74 and sunny. Hot day to walk home and I was exhausted and actually had to sit and relax before eating lunch. The next day was only 34 and snowy. Totally unexpected since Weather.com kept telling me that the high would be 56. Little did I realize that the high would occur in the middle of the night and I would be sleeping thru it. :(

Saturday was a flurry of snow and ice. DH wanted to go Christmas shopping along with the rest of Michigan. Seems many people b... Mon, 21 Nov 2016 15:56:26 EST Another Boring Day in the Apartment http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6268048 DD has been very grumpy lately. I know she is getting burned out with college but is so close to graduating. I can understand now why so many kids drag it out for 5 or 6 years. They just get burned out with the classes that schools "require" but have nothing to do with anything. They are time wasters only.

So yesterday I suggested that she accompany me on my evening walk and she actually took me up on it! She was plugged in to her Korean language tapes and I was listening to m... Wed, 16 Nov 2016 19:49:39 EST Love a Good FitBit Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6265393 I have been participating in a FitBit challenge this week. Workweek Hustle. As people who read my blog know I've been having trouble with my Achilles for a while. It takes a while to warm up and some days it aches so much I can't walk at all. Well this week started out bad so I figured that doing this challenge would help me keep moving.

Monday I got in a lot of steps and was feeling good about it. Tuesday was pretty much the same. But Tuesday I made the mistake of wearing th... Fri, 11 Nov 2016 19:50:42 EST Back to the Beans http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6263947 I have been trying to go back to the bean-eating way of life that I used to do. I got bored with it earlier this year, gained a little weight, and now want to return to the cleaner, healthier way that I did before. This week has been one of transition for me. I know once my body adjusts it will stop being gassy but until then I have to be very careful. Middle schoolers are incredibly sensitive to any body noises. So far I have been pretty discreet and I don't think anyone knows but I hav... Tue, 8 Nov 2016 16:30:33 EST That Darn Cat http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6263306 Last night Max the cat got the better of me. Kicked me out of bed or I should say stretched out so far that there was no room for me! I ended up on the couch for about an hour, until I got cold and Max came looking for me. Once he jumped up on the couch I ran for the bedroom and I ended up with more room that time! DH was totally oblivious to the whole thing but since we haven't had a chance to reprogram our little alarm kitty he did end up waking up DH earlier than anticipated. Only DD ... Mon, 7 Nov 2016 11:42:42 EST Oh the garbage man! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6261866 Max spent the night curled up to me so getting me up wasn't a problem today. Instead the garbage service came at 4:22 AM to dump (bang, clang, bang, bang) the large containers that are across the parking lot from my bedroom. O-M-G. Yep I was up then. Poor Max was still exhausted from his long day yesterday of running up and down the stairs and watching the chipmunk outside who vexes him so. I let him sleep in but DH and I both got up. Put my walking gear on and headed out in the dark wi... Fri, 4 Nov 2016 11:52:09 EST Start of the House http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6261550 Second time Max the cat hasn't woken me at the right time. Today he strolled in at 7 AM which is too late for me to walk and still eat breakfast & shower before work. So I was behind on steps right off the bat but managed to make it all up with a long walk in the evening while DD was busy preparing some new culinary delight for us to try for dinner. Her ravioli were fantastic and I've already asked if she will make them again next week! I'm gonna miss that girl when she graduates and move... Thu, 3 Nov 2016 19:52:49 EST November Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6259909 Made my step goal for October yesterday. It was a pretty big goal - half million steps - but one that I've done in the past. Not this year though, and I'm not sure why. But finally in October I reached it. Now I have to be more consistent and do it again in November. One less day to get them in but I need to make myself get out there and walk. Once in the morning and again in the evening.

My goals in November will be to eat more veggies. More like what I do in the summer, wh... Mon, 31 Oct 2016 16:20:38 EST Sick http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6256498 Well whatever it was actually caught up with me and I have been down for the count for the past 2 days. Younger DD follows me around with disinfectant spray or wipes depending on what she can grab first. Yes she is a germaphobe. Whenever I get ill, or even just sniff a little she gets all paranoid that I have something. Yesterday she turned on the TV for me while she went out for a while but I (what was I thinking) had turned it off by the time she returned so out came the wipes to swab d... Mon, 24 Oct 2016 16:33:48 EST Kitchens, Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6255508 Today DH and I went to Lowes to talk with their kitchen designer. We ended up staying for 3 hours and had one designed for our new house. All I can say is - O-M-G why didn't I go there first! Jennifer, the lady we talked with, not only answered all our questions but actually LISTENED to us and what we wanted in our kitchen. That was huge for me. At the end of the 3 hours we saw on her computer screen the kitchen that has been floating around in my head! I was thrilled. And even better... Sat, 22 Oct 2016 17:44:51 EST Oh My Poor Little Ears http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6254123 DH was in rare form last night snoring. O-M-G it was awful. I would poke him and he would stop for a few minutes. Then I would push him and again just a few minutes respite. At one point I couldn't take it and got out of bed and sat in the livingroom with the cat for a bit but I was sooooo sleepy that I went back to bed. Luckily Max the cat is on my side and he came in shortly and woke DH up by licking his ear (that means "I'm hungry") and DH got out of bed and feed Max. After that I fe... Tue, 18 Oct 2016 15:08:43 EST Kitchens http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6253093 Went to see the progress on the kitchen design for the new house. I have been fighting with the designer for weeks now. She has a real hang-up on keeping everything symmetrical. I don't really care if it is or not I just want it to function for me. Knife drawer in a certain spot, trash can in a certain spot, microwave not too high or too low. I'm really not that fussy but I absolutely draw the line at those awful blind cabinets. I don't know who invented them but I'm pretty certain they... Mon, 17 Oct 2016 18:07:05 EST Fantastic Day for a Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6252524 It was a wonderful overcast but still warm day so DH took me on a very long walk. We walked all the way to the park, then around the park, then down some side streets and finally back to the apartment complex. Over 17,000 steps in all which was fantastic. I was getting a little tired by the time we were almost home and I told him that if there was a place for me to sit and rest a bit I could have gone further. But it worked out.

Just as we were walking up to our door older DD... Sun, 16 Oct 2016 18:03:42 EST Walking News http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6251762 I am doing much better on my walking steps this month. For much of this year I have been struggling trying to meet my goal each day but this month I am more determined than ever to get back on track. I'm back using my spreadsheet to track my progress, which oddly enough, had me taking two long walks yesterday in hopes of setting a higher step count for that day.

Three walks resulted in me getting to 23,000. I was quite pleased as I synced my FitBit before sliding into bed last n... Sat, 15 Oct 2016 03:20:22 EST More Shoe Tales http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6250583 Yep it's that time again - walking shoe buying time that is. Last Saturday DD and I headed up to Lansing to look at new walking shoes. We always go to Playmakers and I have been wearing the Brooks Dyad for a couple years now. They are comfy and work well. But this last pair hasn't lasted as long as some of the others. Or because of my earlier foot injury I have been walking differently in them so they are no longer comfy.

So DD is pulling all the 8.5 shoes off the sale rack th... Wed, 12 Oct 2016 18:41:36 EST Strange? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6250069 The survey stakes were put in for our new house today. I'm pretty excited! Can't dig until the bank gives the go-ahead but it is nice to see where the house will be located on the lot, how close it is to the pond (not too close), and a little surprised how close our neighbors house will be to ours - I think he is the bare minimum off the property line.

My doctor finally called today about those lab results. She sees nothing wrong with them, actually called them "on target". Wha... Tue, 11 Oct 2016 19:34:45 EST Insurance Company http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6248914 A representative called from our insurance company yesterday for me. It was pretty unexpected actually. They had a dietician call about my poor scores to offer helpful advice. Actually we had a really nice chat and she will be calling back in a couple of months to check on my progress and to set up another blood test to see if my scores can be lowered. She was pretty much in agreement on the stress angle for why the scores were up, especially since DH's were also and his are always down. ... Sun, 9 Oct 2016 17:06:00 EST Deer & Running Again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6247347 Had a great walk this morning. Cool weather, no rain, just perfect. Went further than ever before too. Saw some deer in someone's yard sleeping under a bush but they got up and ran when I walked by. And then strangely enough I discovered that I was running. Didn't even think about it but was doing it. It felt good and I kept it up longer than before. This running thing is getting to be fun!

And you know what I have discovered about the running? It makes my walks go by reall... Thu, 6 Oct 2016 11:52:57 EST Jogging to Relieve Heel Pain? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6246873 Most days my cat gets me up. Without him jumping on the bed at 6AM I tend to oversleep unless the sun is shining in. Today not only did I sleep in so did the cat (lazy slug). When I rolled out of bed at 7:30 (yikes) I discovered him sleeping curled up on the sofa in the living room. 7:30 is too late to take a walk since I have to hit the shower no later than 8:30 to make it to work on time. So today no morning walk for me but I did get to enjoy a leisurely breakfast of misc leftovers tha... Wed, 5 Oct 2016 16:18:01 EST
