Work is finally progressing at the house - we may get to move in there by the end of July if all goes well. Trim is going up around windows and some areas of the floor, appliances are there though not installed yet. And both DD's and I worked diligently on assembling all those IKEA things I bought for the house - pax closet system, 5 billy bookcases, and a sektion 5 door cabinet which was a nightmare to assemble though looks absolutely gorgeous in it's little ... Mon, 3 Jul 2017 19:43:32 EST New Virtual Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6376275 It took me 18 months to walk all the necessary steps to complete the PCT on the Walking 4 Fun website. Older DD and I actually walked part of the real PCT last summer when we were in Oregon. But I never really enjoy that trek until Washington, especially as we got closer and closer to Canada. Lovely. And who knew that the government keeps that border clear cut of all trees! Quite a sight to see that's for sure. But on June 6 I started the Portugal Camino and today this popped up when I ... Sat, 17 Jun 2017 12:04:38 EST Fresh Air http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6375448 67 degrees this morning, much cooler than it has been. After I returned from my morning walk I left the door open for Max the cat. He has been suffering so much because we have had to keep the apartment closed up with the air on. He LOVES fresh air! He is so funny in the morning - I always open the door for him while I put my shoes on and he will cram his little nose down in the crack at the bottom and inhale. He does it so loud and I know exactly how he feels with that first sniff of fr... Thu, 15 Jun 2017 09:26:40 EST Shopping for DD http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6374737 Did my morning walk at 5AM today. It was already 74 outside and so very humid. I peeled off my tank as soon as I got back in the apartment and had a dickens of a time getting my sweaty socks off too. All before even attempting to climb the stairs into (no one could see me on the landing). I was caked in sweat but I have to admit that I felt pretty darn good. Had a really nice walk, went further than usual. Always nice to mix it up a bit, and I'm actually excited about tomorrow's walk to... Tue, 13 Jun 2017 17:07:49 EST Darn Aria! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6374087 I've had my Aria scale for a little over a year. Love it. We get together once a day, have a little chat and most of the time I go away feeling pretty good. Then Saturday I decided to put in new batteries and Aria got mean to me. Today I tried to bond with her again and instead she said "51.3%". What the heck does that mean, I thought to myself? So I go to their website and watch the little video. What! Aria thinks I'm 51.3% fat! I have never been so insulted in my life. I've been l... Mon, 12 Jun 2017 08:38:17 EST June 9 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6373067 This has been a stressful week for me. Last day of school should have been joyful but so many bad things happened that it was just overwhelming. Got forced off the road by a semi in a big hurry, got called a liar by the apartment manager because I complained about the horrific noise every day at 4:07AM (which wakes me and turns me into a zombie the rest of the day), discovered that yet again nothing has been done at the house. Siding is hanging off in strips because they just can't seem to... Fri, 9 Jun 2017 19:10:37 EST Almost Summer Vacation! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6371173 I had a hard day yesterday. It was soooo hot in the apartment and even hotter outside. I felt sick and ended up lying down for a while because of the heat with a fan on. By the time it was bedtime I was begging DH to turn on the air conditioning I just couldn't take it any longer and he did! I slept much better after that.

No exercise yesterday because of the heat. So far none today either since I had to get DD out the door and to her intern job before 8AM. I am planning a lo... Mon, 5 Jun 2017 11:58:00 EST Another Depressing Day of House Stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6370453 DD and I bought the paint for the exterior doors today. By the time we got back to the house it was already above 80. She washed down all the doors while I filled nail holes with wood putty. By the time we were done my desire to paint had vanished. We will try again tomorrow.

DH had to scrap tile goop off the master bedroom floor from our contractor when he tiled the master bath and hallway bath. DH went over around 9 and was still scrapping when we got there at 11. He has to... Sat, 3 Jun 2017 20:08:16 EST Summer is Quickly Approaching http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6370041 Bang, bang. Clang, clang. Pound, pound, pound. "Marvin!"

That was the start of my day at 4:07AM. Lordy I hate this apartment. The trash man comes daily at this ungodly hour and our neighbors, the I-Don't-Know-How-To-Parks are constantly arguing or yelling or doing something outside with their dog that seems to always involve noise. My contractor thinks I'm joking when I tell him I'm moving in as soon as there is water. I will sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag just to get ... Fri, 2 Jun 2017 19:52:04 EST Asparagus the Wonder Vegetable http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6368695 Yesterday, Memorial Day, has long been a cook-out day. But, alas, we are charcoal grilling people not propane and our grill is not welcome in our apartment complex. So we had hot dogs cooked the old-fashion way - boiled.

We also fixed asparagus which is in-season and plentiful lately. I just adore asparagus and fix it different ways. Wrapped in bacon is always a huge hit, baked plain with a little olive oil and sea salt is also much requested which is how I fixed it yesterday. ... Tue, 30 May 2017 17:20:51 EST Nothing Like a New Pair of Laces http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6368546 I love those new walking shoes! Brooks Ghost in purple (don't you just love purple shoes?) What I have noticed, however, is that the shoelaces are too dark to untie when I return from my morning walk. They are also purple and in the dim light that is my apartment entryway they are invisible to me.

So yesterday I had had enough and went in search of a newer pair of laces. I keep a pretty good supply of old laces from shoes that have been discarded in a drawer and lo and behold t... Tue, 30 May 2017 11:48:59 EST Shoes Needed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6366884 In my last blog I complained about how much my feet have been hurting. Days and days. It takes a while for them to "warm-up" at the start of my morning walk and again for my evening walk. Someone mentioned my shoes, and I'm pretty consciencious about my shoes, watching the tread, etc. Well, obviously I didn't realize how long I'd had this particular pair because last night after my walk (with older DD) I actually looked at the tread.

O-M-G there was no tread! Older DD actually... Fri, 26 May 2017 11:49:10 EST My Poor Aching Feet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6366056 One of my fitbit friends has been really putting in some huge step counts. This in turn has made me have to ramp up my step counts to keep up (or at least get closer). I've been getting over 20,000 every day (to his 50,000) which is wonderful but today - lordy - today my feet are soooooo tired.

Have you ever woken up and even before your feet hit the floor they feel tired? That is how my day started. Just laying there they were already achey. The mere movement of shuffling aro... Wed, 24 May 2017 11:38:36 EST Sunday, May 21 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6364847 Took a long nap today and I feel like I have finally caught up with the missed sleep from last week's hospital trek. DD hasn't passed the stone yet but the end is getting nearer we think.

Took a nice walk after the rain today (which I slept thru). Wonderful breeze and even though the weather app says it is only 70 it feels so much hotter. Every time I would pass thru some shade it would be absolutely delightful. Once I stopped to soak in some of the cool which helped get thru ... Sun, 21 May 2017 18:03:08 EST The Excitement Never Ends http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6364123 Last night we had to take DD in to emergency. She got sick almost instantly while we were at Aldi getting groceries. Made me hurry home and then she vomited off & on for 3 hours. Hours! She took a couple showers and at one point I heard what sounded like moaning coming from her bathroom. I opened the door and she was in the fetal position on the bathroom rug. I knew then there was something seriously wrong. I went downstairs and got the car around, DH put a bathrobe on her and helped h... Fri, 19 May 2017 22:10:30 EST Pockets http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6363566 Today I was reading the list of fitness gear that would be useful. One of the items mentioned was a pair of yoga pants with a pocket on the side. Ah, pockets my number one item I look for in pants. So I clicked on the link which took me to Amazon.com and let me get a good look at them.

Calling that little pouch a pocket is a real stretch. To me a pocket should hold more than a single key! I need more than one pocket when I'm out walking. I carry my ipod, house keys, sometimes... Thu, 18 May 2017 12:55:06 EST Much Needed Walk and Relaxation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6360732 I have been doing end of year testing on the whole middle school for the past week. It is a slog to get thru each kid, sometime they have to take it more than once because they will goof around and the new score is lower than the beginning score so they have to do it over. They hate it, I hate it. Such a time waster. But the worse thing is that I don't get to take my early morning walk since I have to be at school before first bell to get kids and drag them to my computer lab. Ugh. It h... Thu, 11 May 2017 18:15:01 EST Race http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6359012 DH and I walked in the park today. Haven't done that in a few weeks and it was really pleasant. Yesterday morn people were out setting up road signs for a race that was to happen later. One of many in our little town but I didn't realize this one was so close, actually starting in the park and going into surrounding neighborhoods. Our "newspaper" contains no actual news and doesn't really report on much that happens in our town anyway, concentrating on mostly Grand Rapids, which is miles ... Sun, 7 May 2017 20:33:01 EST Challenging Myself http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6358384 Today on one of the spark blogs I read someone made a comment about their new 5% challenge. I've never been part of one of those challenges. So I think I will try one with myself this month to see how I do and if I can handle that kind of pressure even if it is on myself. I'm a pretty laid-back kinda gal. I do my own thing and have been pretty happy with my results so far, though there are days when I wonder why my weight isn't much lower than it currently is. I guess I don't work hard e... Sat, 6 May 2017 10:15:39 EST Stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6357301 Driving in to school today my car dinged that it was 39 degrees. Not sure why VW has decided that 39 needs to be paid attention to (with a little snowflake icon no less). It was actually 38 by the time I arrived at our building but it sure didn't feel that cool. It was sunny and just plain delightful 67 . We get so few amazingly sunny days that even when it is cooler everyone thinks it is warmer and we enjoy them to the fullest!

I've been doing end of the year testi... Wed, 3 May 2017 20:02:41 EST His End http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6355786 My brother passed today. Older sister called as I was getting ready to start dinner. She was crying and said he wouldn't last much longer. So I scooted over to the hospice instantly. He breathing was weird and he was totally unaware. I held his hand and told him we were all there. It was okay now. I held his hand til the end.

I'm ok. Sun, 30 Apr 2017 20:37:50 EST Stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6353946 I have discovered that dying is a very expensive thing. Both my parents had heart attacks and died in their own homes (or shortly after arriving at the hospital). Two brothers died in car accidents, two more in their homes from heart attacks, a sister found her cancer and died within 2 weeks (at home), older sister lingered a bit in a nursing home. B will be moving to Hospice home at end of week. After insurance they will still be responsible for a minimum of $275 per day. I don't think ... Wed, 26 Apr 2017 17:25:05 EST Visit with Brother http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6353407 Today after school I went over to see my brother. I feel better today though he is not doing well at all. Sleeps almost constantly or if he is awake it is for moments only. He takes low dose pain meds but that will be changing today. He also now has oxygen and is getting nurishment thru a feeding tube. I sat and watched him sleep off and on for about 2 hours today. He would open one eye (the other no longer opens due to the tumors on his brain) and say stuff but was totally unintelligib... Tue, 25 Apr 2017 16:53:14 EST Difficult Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6353025 Today was a hard day for me. Not fitness wise but my brother has been in my constant thoughts. Last week he took a bad turn and told his daughter, who he has been staying with, that he wanted to be moved to the Hospice across town. He does not want to die in her home.

I found myself crying at school twice and actually spent time with our school therapy dog to settle myself back down. It is taking a toll on me that I was unaware of. Tomorrow I will go see him again after school. I... Mon, 24 Apr 2017 20:41:32 EST New Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6352136 Yesterday I got out of school an hour earlier than usual, so instead of walking partway home from there DD picked me up and took me back to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore where she volunteers every Friday and I walked home from there.

It was a really good walk too and I already told her that I want to do it again I had so much fun and I got in over 13,000 steps! Walked some residential areas I don't normally travel. Did more hill work than I usually do. Still got to walk thru my... Sat, 22 Apr 2017 20:21:35 EST Missing Little Ann (the cat) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6350306 Last fall when we moved into this apartment we had to rehome our oldest cat of 14 years. She seemed to thrive at the farm she moved to, meeting new cat friends, catching mice in the barns there. But I miss her very much. Whenever I had a chance I would ask the teacher who she lives with about her. She always tells me she is fine but I find it odd that no one in their family interacts with Little Ann at all.

Little was always a very vocal cat, she loves to talk to you and alwa... Tue, 18 Apr 2017 18:08:36 EST Friday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6348638 Went to visit my older brother today. Very surprising how quickly he has gone downhill. He is now bed bound and staying with his oldest daughter. He was drifting in and out of sleep while I was there but still joking a little. It was hard to see him like he is, he has aged so much in the two weeks since they found the cancer.

DH is now painting at the house. He had borrowed a big spray painting machine from a fellow at work, but true to form he couldn't get it work so ende up hav... Fri, 14 Apr 2017 22:04:17 EST Sad Post http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6346718 Confession time. I am 13th of 14 children born to my parents. We are spread out quite a bit in age. My oldest brother (half brother actually) was only 6 years younger than my own mother. My father was 14 years older than my mother and was a widower with 5 children when he married my mom during WWII. There were gaps between us kids that my mother used to say was due to dad working nights 2 .

Anyway there are only 7 of us left now which is weird to think about since ... Mon, 10 Apr 2017 20:57:40 EST Spring Break Day 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6344325 It has been raining all this week (of course). I haven't had a chance to walk outside since Sunday, our last dry day. Today I resorted to jogging in place while brushing my teeth. It was doable but not when it is time to spit. Kinda weird, but I will do what I can to get in a bit of exercise.

Went over to older DD house today to use her iron. DH has two new shirts that obviously are not wrinkle free. I tried rewetting and putting in the dryer with some other stuff on Monday a... Wed, 5 Apr 2017 18:32:40 EST Second Day of Spring Break 2017 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6343810 Today I tried on all those clothes that I painstakingly hung up yesterday. Out of the closet they came one at a time. I tried them on and decided instantly if they were going to stay in my life. Back on the hanger and then back in the closet with the hanger turned backward so I would know in a couple months if I really did wear them or not. Also cleaned out my pajama drawer. My pajamas are actually old big clothes from when I was heavy. They are baggy, saggy but they possess pockets whi... Tue, 4 Apr 2017 18:09:48 EST Clothes Swapping Time http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6343311 So DD and I swapped out clothing today. She kept more of her winter stuff than I did. Campus buildings are still fairly cool to her but the school I work at is already set pretty warm. Except the office, it is freezing in the office as our school secretary likes it very cool. Even runs a little fan at her desk most days. Brrrr!

I've already hung up most of the stuff even without trying it on. I might pull it all back out of the closet tomorrow and do that. I'm just not happy... Mon, 3 Apr 2017 19:02:50 EST Shopping http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6342359 Packed up most of my winter clothing yesterday. DD and I will be taking it to the storage unit and swapping out for spring attire. Not much left in my closet and I found a couple of sweaters that never got worn all season. I am in need of at least one pair of slacks too so I went shopping today.

I hate shopping for clothes. I hate the styles (whose idea are those wide legs?) and the frumpy fit. And seriously, why even make slacks that don't have pockets! I own one pair of pan... Sat, 1 Apr 2017 18:52:18 EST Weight Gain :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6340216 Per my insurance co's doctor I have been eating low carb in an effort to get my A1c back in range. It worked really well too. But, unfortunately, last week turned into a carb-fest at our house. I knew it and did little to stop it. DD and DH both cooked more than I did and even though I didn't want to eat their carb-intensive foods I did. I have no one to blame but myself but 5 POUNDS in one week is aweful.

Yesterday when I first weighed and saw the damage I thought it was ju... Tue, 28 Mar 2017 11:55:05 EST Spring Break is Coming (and I'm not Prepared) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6338895 Spring break from school is only one week away. I'm excited because I really need a break from the kids and I didn't get the longer Christmas break due to the flu. But I made no plans this year for something to do. Originally we were suppose to have a garage sale to get rid of more stuff in the storage unit but we are no where near close enough at the new house to be able to do that. In a way I'm glad because I hate doing garage sales but then it is only putting off the inevitable. It wi... Sat, 25 Mar 2017 18:29:12 EST Cold day again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6337822 Walked early again today. Frost on the grass, could see my breath. I am over winter but winter doesn't seem to be over Michigan. Thu, 23 Mar 2017 11:48:26 EST Getting That Step Count Back Up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6336377 So this morning I was able to scrap myself out of bed at 5:33 AM and actually went for my early morning walk. Haven't done that in a while due to the weird weather we've been having. Walked in my pajamas, since, honestly who is going to see me at that hour? Put my coat on, grabbed my ipod with my current audio book (Cat Jump for Joy), a flashlight and headed out.

It was a glorious morning. A little creepy since the flashlight doesn't cast nearly as much light as my headlamp doe... Tue, 21 Mar 2017 11:56:32 EST Stuff http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6334941 This has been a bad week for me walk-wise. Didn't get in nearly as many steps as I usually do so my step count is way down. I will have to work harder at it next week and bring it back up again. Only 580 more miles to complete my virtual PCT walk. What a slog that one has been. Not nearly as fun as some of the others I have done and older DD and I actually walked part of it for real last summer so I really thought I would enjoy it more. Once it is done I will choose something a bit shor... Sat, 18 Mar 2017 18:31:40 EST Upcoming Fun Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6333381 My birthday is on friday and I am taking the day off. Lots to do that day. A1c retest in the early morning (they open at 7AM so I will try to be there around then). My A1c level was slightly elevated back in August and the insurance company is insisting that I have a recheck midyear. Do not fast! per the insurance people (seems it raises the levels). Then DH has an eye test appointment scheduled for 9:15. Getting that appointment set up was a lot harder than it should have been. Eye do... Wed, 15 Mar 2017 11:57:18 EST Hit the Ground Running http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6328733 Last week I don't think I walked outside but one day. Busy, busy. The house is really picking up and I find I have to run over there for something at least once a day. They are hanging drywall today which makes me really excited. We ordered the flooring and the countertop this morning too. DD and I spent an afternoon looking at paint chips and we have picked out almost all the paint for the house! She is still wavering on her bathroom color but I think I have convinced her to use the 3 ... Mon, 6 Mar 2017 12:17:51 EST Sparkling Water http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6322996 I have given up soda pop and I do believe this time it will stick. I discovered sparkling water and have fallen in love with it! Plain old water with carbonation added. Or Perrier which is naturally carbonated. Love them both. Each week I purchase a 12-pack of cans at Aldi for my home and then a 6-pack of Perrier at Meijer to take to school for lunchtime. Occasionally I will share a bit with a student and so far everyone has liked it. No complainers (which is rare)!

I have... Tue, 28 Feb 2017 18:33:40 EST Great Day for a Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6321019 After my early morning walk I was feeling pretty darn spiffy today. Had a real spring in my step when I left for school today and I think it showed while I was at work. Just an all-around good day.

And since it's Friday I also got to do my weekly partial walk home too. The sky had been slightly overcast most of the day but still very warm. Thunder rumbles occasionally just to keep me on my toes but I keep a rain poncho in my backpack. Didn't need it since it was all noise an... Fri, 24 Feb 2017 19:59:00 EST Early Spring? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6320493 It has been warm here in Michigan the past couple of days. Warmer than February should be that's for sure. High 50's to mid-60's. We are expecting 70 tomorrow (my walk home from school day). Since my winter wardrobe consists of 99% fleece tops (my school is kept cool) it has been interesting dressing. With tomorrow's expected heat I truly have no idea what I will be wearing. No coat for sure since walking home gets me pretty heated up anyway.

Last night it was pretty warm in ... Thu, 23 Feb 2017 18:58:46 EST Sick, Part 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6319997 Most of what I had is gone now. The extreme tiredness is finally over though the barking cough is hanging on.

At least I was able to take my planned vacation to Phoenix over the past weekend. Unfortunately it turned out to be the worst time to visit Phoenix. It was cold and either raining or snowing. Yes, snowing. I left Michigan for Arizona for 4 days and it was mid-60's in Michigan and snowing in Arizona. At the Grand Canyon, my sole reason for going, it was so foggy we saw... Wed, 22 Feb 2017 18:59:32 EST Being Sick, Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6315937 Over Christmas break I was sick. 2-1/2 weeks of coughing and sleeping and just general crud. Doctor said I was just going to have to wait it out and it took longer than I think either of us thought it would. Saturday evening I started feeling icky again. Fell asleep around 7:30. And even when I actually put myself to bed I was thinking "there goes my Spark Spreak". Woke up off and on Sunday to coughing. Moved from recliner to bed all day. Ate very little and felt awful.

Mon... Tue, 14 Feb 2017 10:11:26 EST Hurray for Rain! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6312835 My last entry I talked about how people and businesses who don't clear their sidewalks make it difficult for walking. Yesterday it rained all day. Poured actually, and all that rain cleared the sidewalks for me. It was pure bliss this morning walking. Nothing to impede me, weather was 30 and not windy - just perfect. It was wonderful to get out and about again and walk with purpose instead of having to be so careful where and how I stepped. Great start to my day! Wed, 8 Feb 2017 11:44:56 EST Snowy Sidewalks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6309810 Went for my morning walk today which was made more difficult by the fact that no one has cleaned off their sidewalks (again!). We had a warmish day yesterday so anywhere anyone had walked is now ice with the snow on top. It was too hazardous to walk. I got about halfway down the street heading to the park and my usual morning loop and just couldn't do it. It was taking too long trying to remain upright so I had to turn around. On my way back I would do a loop in every driveway or parking... Thu, 2 Feb 2017 19:18:55 EST Bad day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6307368 I had a can of pop today. I'm not happy with myself but it was a stressful day and I didn't have any carbonated water cold. Excuses I know. Back on the pop-free wagon again. I have never had them in salad before so I tried it out. We had spinach so I put quite a bit in a bowl. Then I cut each fish stick in half (they are pretty small to begin with) and laid them on the spinach. Then I added Mrs Renfro's jalapeno salsa to each stick. Just a tiny bit cause it is pretty potent stuff. Then I jabbed a lot of spinch on my fork and one piece of fish stick - Yowza! Fantastic! Who would ... I put on my warmest coat and my reflector vest and head out. O-M-G is is nice out. Sure you can see your breath but it feels ways warmer than 35. I decide to do a medium sized walk so I don't get too overheated. Lovely, lovely morning that is for sure.

I am starting a new audiobook today. "Brass Verdict" by Michael Connelly. It is my second Mickey Haller (Lincoln Lawyer) book. New narrator for me and after a while he ... Wed, 25 Jan 2017 18:44:24 EST
