I just hope there isn't too much at stake. Life is funny. When you think everything is going well you can have the rug pulled from under your feet. Apparently being friends isn't enough. Somewhere along the line we just lost our way. Wed, 9 Jul 2014 23:18:42 EST Yoga 4 Peace http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3810419 I decided to give yoga a try. I found a place offering a drop in class right near home and hopped in the car and made my way there. Even getting lost didn't discourage me. When I walked in I was welcomed and given the run down on how things there work and was invited to join the class.

There were 3 other students in the room and it was nice and quiet and low lit. I unrolled my mat and a few minutes later the class got started. I was surprised that I was able to do nearly all of the... Sun, 28 Nov 2010 18:15:56 EST Jump Rope of death! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3808657 I remember being awesome with the jump rope. I could do all sorts of tricks. Now I can't even jump 3 times in a row without messing up. I kept at it though, holy cow exhausting! I think I must have gotten at least ten minutes before I collapsed.

I even tried out some moves with the fitness ball. Then I did a 10 minute cardio video from the tv.

I found a team that is 4 weeks of cardio 10 minutes/day. I am hoping that will help with my motivation problem. Sat, 27 Nov 2010 16:59:09 EST I need to DO something http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3807347 I know what I need to do. I have equipment and know how but do I use it? Not so much. My BMI says I am obese, OBESE such a giant word! Yuck. I have had nothing but trouble finding clothes that fit lately.

I have made a start with reworking my eating habits but I know that is not going to magically fix everything. I haven't been overeating at meals, I added more fruits & veggies, but snack foods come back to bite me every time.

Pop is my downfall. I know I should drink w... Mon, 16 Aug 2010 14:17:10 EST Everybody Wins! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3509932 I like to save my daily trivia questions for when my hubby is home. We both answer the questions and see who is right. I guess I am a little competitive, but it is fun. At least we both learn something in the process!

On a side note, emoticons are addictive! 208 Fri, 6 Aug 2010 14:02:51 EST The rambling of the after effects of the day.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3500886 So my streak of logging and tracking and at this point exercise has encountered a slight hiccough. (Although spelled correctly this word is not recognized. The online dictionary must not be quite the avid reader that I am....) I am beat, unable to contain a coherent thought let alone persuading my motor skills to function.

I had the best laid plans. I had so much I wanted to accomplish today. I did manage to get a fabulous pedicure before the worst of my symptoms surfaced. My toe... Tue, 3 Aug 2010 23:04:32 EST Goals for August http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3491869 Now that I am starting to understand the diet stages a little better I think progress will be a little easier. One of my action steps is to use the meal planner, but I don't know if this is really for me. I guess I can always change things around with it. Who knows maybe it will help with the infernal question of 'what's for dinner?' I am still struggling with my 8 servings of water a day. I didn't notice until just the other day the step where you increase by one serving each day. Day 1 = 1 ... Sun, 1 Aug 2010 15:43:10 EST Spreading the Spark http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3489960 I think I somehow lost a day this week. I know I didn't bother finishing my spark stuff on Wednesday but I thought I did it Thursday and Friday...hmm. Anywho, I got my sister to sign up for sparkpeople and I talked to my mom who might be signing up too =) Spread the spark! Sat, 31 Jul 2010 23:22:50 EST What gives?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3475953 I had a dentist apt. today and I was excited because I have been flossing every other day consistently since the last visit (I used to only floss right before my dental visit.) To my dismay, my gums were bleeding and I have two cavities. Yuck! I guess I had better step it up to daily flossing..

On a side note, I went to Curves today to check them out. I like the equipment and it seems like a nice environment. I am not sure if I want to get into a membership right now though. I was... Tue, 27 Jul 2010 18:33:57 EST Respect Walk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3473108 Well today I took care of two of my six appointments this week. I even managed to stop by the pharmacy and get groceries. Instead of the treadmill we all (My husband, my dog Roxy and I) went for a walk together. It was pretty nice, a little warm. It is easy to see how lazy we have gotten when the dog got winded after the first lap. I am surprised about how tired I am. I don't feel like I did all that much exertion. I am actually thinking about heading to bed at a decent hour for a change... Mon, 26 Jul 2010 23:18:58 EST "Laser" http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3460357 Today I went in for my laser hair removal treatment. I was all excited because that is another thing I have let fall to the way side. After my treatment I asked how many visits I had left and found out that this was it. It seem as though I let a year pass with no treatments. I was pretty upset because the treatments are expensive and I am not done yet. They managed to set me up for a maintenance price for two additional years by which time all will be done. *sigh*

So, what lesson ... Thu, 22 Jul 2010 23:58:08 EST What a day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3455713 So far I have cleaned the bathroom, livingroom and kitchen (including a big pile of dishes). I took care of all the trash and recycling plus prepared dinner with a special desert. I made a few appointments I have been meaning to get around to also.

So here I am sitting on my exercise ball taking care of all my spark stuff (and bouncing)..

I still have plans to hop on the treadmill, and maybe try a few exercise ball moves...How did I ever find time to get everything done... Wed, 21 Jul 2010 17:42:53 EST Blond Socks http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3451957 Has anyone ever tried Nike Dry Fit socks? The wick moisture away so your feet don't get as sweaty. I was in the process of putting them on when my dad asked "why are they labeled for the left and right foot are they for blonds who don't know how to put on a pair of socks?" Gee thanks dad, I try to explain that they are designed to fit your foot more closely so the sock doesn't get mashed up against your toes in your shoe. It was too late though he was already shaking his head, chuckling and w... Tue, 20 Jul 2010 18:04:25 EST Removing the clutter in my life http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3447288 I just finished de-cluttering my exercise space. It makes it easier to stay focused when I am not spending my time on the treadmill looking at the mess in my space. Next step is to figure out some strength training. I am actually considering trying out yoga... Mon, 19 Jul 2010 12:59:44 EST Migraine Days http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3445342 I have so much trouble staying focused on migraine days. I end up sleeping a lot and craving pop and salty snacks. Today I did a bit better, I allowed myself one diet dr. pepper and one serving of baked lays (instead of eating out of the bag until they were all gone). I didn't eat great today but it definitely could have been much worse. I even made myself a salad for dinner! It seems to help having more easy healthy options around the house. Tomorrow is another day. Sun, 18 Jul 2010 22:48:04 EST Little goal with a little reward http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3440093 I have decided to set myself the goal of 3 days a week on the treadmill for 3 consecutive weeks. I am doing this in the hopes that I will stick with exercise. Usually I can get in one or two sessions a week every now and again, but then I fall off track. That is why this time I am going to reward myself for staying with it. I haven't exactly decided what my reward will be... 249 Sat, 17 Jul 2010 00:29:08 EST Spark points http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3438122 This is a little random but I seem to be having trouble getting my spark points for doing a websearch... Fri, 16 Jul 2010 11:16:24 EST Water works http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3433330 8 glasses of water is tough for me. I don't feel thirsty then I try to drink all my water before bed. There has to be a better way! Wed, 14 Jul 2010 23:29:37 EST Medicines http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3428385 I am taking two prescriptions for my migraines. Both are to be taken at night because they cause drowsiness. I take them as early as possible so they don't effect me in the morning but it doesn't seem to help and I have been consistently sleeping 12 hours. I think it is time to talk to the neurologist!
