Sun, 10 Apr 2016 19:37:26 EST Improved Leg is still uncomfortable, but slow walking seems to have worked out the most of the pain.
I went into town today and picked up my 2 Adirondack chairs, and even got them to fit into our little car.

Got to hold the new baby for a little bit. Unfortunately they smoke at the apt when baby isn't there, so I come home stinking of smoke, poor little guy...he's so tiny and cute...

Decided to check at Value Village today and bought travel sizes of misc. shampoo etc for ... I hope it is only a day or two whatever it is, whether it is a pulled muscle of whatever....maybe a naproxen is in order. The hot bath and Epsom salts didn't help. Wed, 6 Apr 2016 23:39:39 EST Busy Day Starting to feel like a personal shopper. I picked up sales for my friend and my niece and my mil.... I know I am good at it, point me at a store and I will find the sales.

HAd supper at MacD's and it started out with my dh spilling his pop all over my lap, how could it do anything but go up from there? Well, I bought myself a new dress, seeing as any pants ran around $20-$25, the $25 dress on sale for $9 caught my eye instead. And by the time we shopped and then tracked down th... Tue, 5 Apr 2016 23:18:07 EST Late Easter blog OMG, tonite we watched the 2016 musical version of The Passion from New Orleans.
Incredibly Amazing!!!!! Mon, 4 Apr 2016 21:10:32 EST Well, that wasn't a good idea! 2 days off my one med and I saw my weight go up 5 lbs... This is crazy, my body is out of control, so best go back on the drug till I at least get back from my trip and see the doc.

Since I came back to SP and started tracking my foods and doing my exercise, things have been going up instead of down, both my weight and my b.s. (and my fibre - but that at least is a good thing). I even substituted my potatoes for mashed cauliflower last nite. So for the 18 years I have been diabet... Mon, 4 Apr 2016 15:44:00 EST Sunday WEll, after a healthy breakfast, and only 1 Girl Guides cookie at church, it was a log GI bean salad and a walk at the dam. For some reason we are walking slower, but it was an hour walk.

Yesterday was a veg-out day...did nothing.

Something is going on with my body these days, I am going up and down over 4 lbs in a day. I hadn't gone any more than 2 lbs. up or down in past 9 months with the new drug, but my b.s. is up in the 13's again too, so I am not impressed and go... Sun, 3 Apr 2016 14:41:44 EST Having a Good Day I turned a bad nite's sleep into a good day. I was up by 8am and with an obvious rain sky I called my friend and invited her to meet me and Buddy at the dam to walk at 9:00. This is 3 days this week we have walked. She lost 50 lbs through TOPS a few years back and is trying to get a creeping on 5 lbs back off. She's the early bird, so she was happy to have me call her at that hour. We did 3.9 km walk today, but I'm sure we burned more calories than usual because the wind was so high and... Fri, 1 Apr 2016 14:44:46 EST LIfe Gets in the Way Well, yesterday and today have kept me busy and without planned foods in my fridge, I am really noticing a change in diet.

Today a friend called inviting me to walk, I was waiting to see when I was needed to pick up the new baby at the hospital, and then had to take dh to eye doc and his mother to the hospital to see her sis who had broken her hip and had a heart attack. Wed, 30 Mar 2016 22:54:06 EST OK Enough Already.... this is getting annoying Up another 2.5 lbs overnite.... I know better but that scale still has control over me and I am getting frustrating. I did not have a big turkey dinner by any means. I had that ham... I will be glad when it is gone... pea soup with onions, carrots and turnips coming up and then that is it. I have not gone up that much weight in almost a year, and yet here it is overnite... I had a nice long walk yesterday and have been on program most of a week. Yes, I do know it is the salt and nitrates ... Mon, 28 Mar 2016 09:40:53 EST What a Day! Easter Sunday service and tea. Came home and went for a nice 4.8 km walk with my friend and my little 4 legged Buddy. He got lots of interest over his cute bright red rubber boots!!!

Came home to find my great great niece was in labor and needed a ride to hospital... a baby boy born about a half hour ago. Stopped at a friend's and her mom and sis were there and I got an impromptu turkey dinner with homemade banana and my favorite date squares...

Got my ham boiled and... Sun, 27 Mar 2016 21:37:06 EST Saturday DAncing Nite Well, scale was up still today, but I did not fall for those lies. I am still on track and after going out dancing this evening, do I ever have a lot of calories to use up.

Happy Easter all! Sat, 26 Mar 2016 23:57:27 EST Sometimes you do gain weight - don't give up. Ok, so I tasted that Easter ham last nite. Haven't had ham in so long. I was still within my calories and also my fibre for the day. But, I'm pretty sure the NA was up. So, although I am still weighing daily - that darn old scale said I had gained 2 lbs. I knew this was not the case, and unlike other times when this would have been that last straw that cajoled me into breaking my plan, this time, I was expecting it. I know for a fact I could not possibly have gained 2 lbs of fat just ov... Fri, 25 Mar 2016 19:41:13 EST Off to a bad start - let's see if I can turn it around Had such a lousy sleep, and that always gets me off on the wrong foot. Dh woke crabby too - not a good combination. I told him I will bite back if he gets on my nerves.

Was going to try that Pancakes for one recipe I found here yesterday, instead had the last English muffin with peanut butter and triple fruit jam. Wed, 23 Mar 2016 10:58:47 EST Fridge full of healthy foods Yes, lunch was Tuna and Artichoke Salad - was very good, but that darn old chocolate snuck its way in. Tue, 22 Mar 2016 14:45:33 EST Posting my food was a real eyeopener What I found quite surprising was that my NA was very high, like 6000 mg, when about 2300 is ideal. I could see it the day I had A&W and the other day I had pizza, but where did the rest come from. I know how to fix it though... cook at home and non-processed foods... now just to do it. Also my MG was very low (but I knew that and supplement) and so was folate.

Today was My Cooking Day... I have a big pot of chili on, lots of beans, good for my b.s. And a fridge full of salad... Mon, 21 Mar 2016 16:08:27 EST Sunday and it's not over yet.... After church I found that we had to return to the house we were cleaning, more "cubby holes" that hadn't been cleared out were found and then we cleaned out the fridge and straightened up ....again. My friend who is very OCD about cleaning, has even been cleaning her own house after all the hours we spend working on cleaning, is losing patience with this, even commented that "after we clean it up, they mess it again". OMG, we havent' agreed on how much we will be paid, but we certainly expe... Sun, 20 Mar 2016 22:33:10 EST Technical Difficulties made it impossible to blog yesterday I did try, but computer did not cooperate, so far so good today. We went for a nice walk at the wildlife park today and then a few other little stops so it was another busy and tiring, but more relaxing day. Diet is completely off track, but at least the exercise is a little bit on track.

First day of spring tomorrow, maybe that is a good omen and I can get focused.
Sat, 19 Mar 2016 20:07:35 EST so tired I am sooooooooo tired...
