I went back to the dam today for the first time since I broke my ankle on the way to the dam back in April. Went with a friend and offered her the option of turning around at about the 1/3 mark, in case 1 lap was too long, but we continued. The lap is 1.3 km and last summer and fall I was walking a total of 10 k and even up to 13 k, but today, it took a resting period on the bench and all my energy to get finished 1 lap. I was determined to just check it and say ok, but the teacher in me dies hard, and I just couldn't do it. Lots of editing changes needed, and I didn't like her conclusion at all, but once I realized I was basically re-writing it for her, I stopped myself...
