I wanted to make sure that I didn't overindulge while I was there and rack up the calories but honestly, that's really tough to do!
Because I knew I was going there, I made sure to adjust what I ate the rest of the day.
I had Cheerios and a banana for breakfast.
I had egg whites and cottage cheese for lunch.
I had a granola bar and almonds for my morning and afternoon lunch.
All together I had about 800 ... Sun, 13 Feb 2011 11:46:40 EST Ready for some Football! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3994677 Today is cleaning day. I want to get everything looking good so when the football game comes on tonight I can enjoy it without worrying about getting things ready for the coming week. Lots to do, but motivated to do it. I've also gotta do Kempo X for P90X this afternoon. Well...off to Bring it! Sun, 6 Feb 2011 10:18:29 EST Stretching http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3969116 This morning I did X Stretch from the P90X program. I was sweating pretty hard and my body didn't move much at all. What a calm workout that I felt to be useful! I am totally seeing progress with my flexibility, balance and strength and am only 3 1/2 weeks into this thing. Diet, regular exercise and concious effort to be all around healthy sure turn this body that looked healthy into one that also feels healthy inside too. Fri, 28 Jan 2011 13:00:49 EST Aches and pains http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3965347 This morning I did P90X Kempo X. It went well but at one of the sequences of punches I hurt my elbow. I rubbed it out and it was able to get back to feeling better in a bit of time. I wouldn't worry about it so much if it were the first time, but last week when I did the same workout it got sore the same way. I don't know if I should ice it after the workouts or if I should find some stretches for my elbow (do they have those?). All I know is that I am not looking forward to my next Kemp... Thu, 27 Jan 2011 09:43:55 EST I do it for my kids! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3963163 I am not overweight. I look pretty healthy. My problem is I can tend to be a couch potato and not eat the best. Why am I working out every day and counting calories? Because I don't want my kids to see me as an example of how to live while I am lazy. I work hard and eat good food. I want them to work hard and eat good food too. That's why I do it! Wed, 26 Jan 2011 14:34:39 EST Sleep http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3955909 I had a really busy weekend. I had a class on Saturday morning, worked out in the afternoon then went to a concert on Saturday night. Sunday morning was church, followed by playing with my kids. We went to a party to watch the football games. Now it is Monday morning and I am exhausted. This is not a great feeling going into the week and I know I need to get to bed extra early tonight and tomorrow night to try and catch myself back up. Mon, 24 Jan 2011 11:44:25 EST Shoveling http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3950570 I just finished Legs and back from P90X. Now I'm out to go shoveling. Will it ever end? Sat, 22 Jan 2011 16:02:32 EST Egg whites http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3947299 I have been eating egg whites each morning for the past few weeks ard we are flying through eggs! I eat 6 whites each day which means every other day we go through a dozen just from me! There is no arguing with the low calorie high protein benefits you get from it. I have also been plowing through cottage cheese (another low calorie, high protein food).
In my studying, I think these foods and foods like them will be able to get me the nutrition I need to start my day right after an ... Fri, 21 Jan 2011 11:56:38 EST Yoga X http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3943749 I kindof cheated during yoga today. I didn'go all out and I skipped the ab part at the end. I feel bad about it a little bit, but really I was tired and in the past my back has hurt during that part of the video.
My brother tells me that Yoga is his favorite part. I think it is my least favorite. I hope I turn my thoughts around because yoga comes twice next week and I am going to have to bring it to get through it.

Also, I ate a Kit Kat right after working out. Not exact... Thu, 20 Jan 2011 10:55:02 EST P90X http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3940118 I am now in my third week of P90X. I did shoulders and arms today and am feeling it. There is nothing better than finishing a workout and then having your muscles feel so stong when you are done. I am feeling good about the workouts I am just not feeling the results yet. I'm 20 days in to the 90 day plan and see very little difference. I'm hoping that through my continued diet it will come along.
Tomorrow is Yoga. I'm hoping to make it through the whole thing without falling. Set ... Wed, 19 Jan 2011 09:43:54 EST
