I hope I listen. Why must I continue? Because EVERY TIME I quit, I start having pain again. I can't lift as much or have the energy to do all I want. I especially miss flying the grandchildren around the room. I miss when I go to lift something or run out of energy when doing stuff. I miss doing a workout without taking a break. You can keep the house clean and maintain it, but nobody notices until one day you don't clean it. Then everyone notices. Mmmm. I always said this doesn't work for me. I do my morning routine and then I am done. lol. EXCEPT when something comes a long and interrupts it. By the end of 4 or 5 days, I was craving vegetables, outside time, and even exercise. I thought I really didn't like exercising so it really blew my mind when I missed not doing it. If you do everything right then you are able to get up on the skies. Other times, the water is choppy and very hard to get up even when you are doing everything right. Instead look to see where you messed up and why. Plan how you will handle it the next time those temptations come to you. Then check to see if you did did not give into the temptation would you have met your daily goals. If you would have then put that in your plan as a reminder. I said my new goal was 10 minutes on a stationary bike, but I was miserable trying to do 30 minutes. I felt so frustrated. Then I realized the spark way is to move with enjoyment. So I stopped and celebrated I did 20 minutes instead of just 10. Bottom line is joy and small successes make you work harder then force and misery. To loose weight, you have to eat healthier and move more. Now go have FUN doing that. Log it and see how the equation is working through the tracker. Need more moving? I had just finished my 15 mile stationary bike ride when my brother called and said he was coming over. I wasn't sure how quickly he would get here, but needed a shower. So I showered as fast as I could. (10 minutes to bathe, shampoo, and shave-- did not know I could do it that fast). I thought while I was at this speed, I would see how much I could get done.
