By the end of 4 or 5 days, I was craving vegetables, outside time, and even exercise. I thought I really didn't like exercising so it really blew my mind when I missed not doing it. Lol 104 Fri, 15 Nov 2013 22:25:40 EST The reports tell all http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5528733 How many times do you say, "I will skip my workout today. It will be fine. I do it most days." I didn't think I was saying it much until I ran the spark people reports. Ouch! That hurt. I saw that what I thought was maybe once a week may really be 2 sometimes 3 skips a week. Life is busy and you think it will be fine. Not true. If you aren't taking good care of yourself, who will. Eventually your body will say it is my turn for your attention and bring you down. So prevent that by ru... Thu, 31 Oct 2013 22:18:00 EST Water skiing is a lot like weight-loss. Check it out. lol http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5511925 Weight loss is a lot like water skiing. If you do everything right then you are able to get up on the skies. Other times, the water is choppy and very hard to get up even when you are doing everything right. Those are the times you stay in a squatted position longer until all of sudden you are up and flowing. Then you can stand tall.

Then you follow the boat for a while and boredom sets in. So you want to shake things up. You decide to jump the wake and go to smoother water.... Instead look to see where you messed up and why. Plan how you will handle it the next time those temptations come to you. Then check to see if you did did not give into the temptation would you have met your daily goals. If you would have then put that in your plan as a reminder. If not then see what other mistakes you made and do the same with them. Be ready with your plan when temptation comes and be proud of yourself that you are learning so... Wed, 9 Jan 2013 20:37:35 EST Little goals achieved build passion http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5157589 I am starting over and even though I had small goals, I did not let go my old goals. I said my new goal was 10 minutes on a stationary bike, but I was miserable trying to do 30 minutes. I felt so frustrated. Then I realized the spark way is to move with enjoyment. So I stopped and celebrated I did 20 minutes instead of just 10. Bottom line is joy and small successes make you work harder then force and misery. Embrace the spark way. 252 334 Wed, 5 Dec 2012 22:04:07 EST Love the Spark way http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3988722 The Spark people are sooooo smart. They know that if you start with small goals, you will stick with it. I now laugh at the last post I made. 334 I tried to "catch up", but just made myself stressed out. This week I just did what I could. I got cardio in everyday and did 2 days of strength training. Not bad since this is just Thurs. I feel excited again. It is easy to say it is only 7 minutes long. Thanks SP. I really love this site and enjoying my SP friends. Don't know where to start? Spark People has soooo many resources. This one I just found this morning. http://www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitnes
s_videos.asp. Ck it out. I love my bicycle, but have been hearing how your body gets used to an exercise and becomes less effective. I wanted to change up my activity, but wasn't sure how. This gives me so much help. Thanks spark people. You are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go have fun. Thu, 13 Jan 2011 09:37:24 EST Remember it is all about your goals. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3913657 Don't get side-tracked into thinking you have to do a certain exercise or read everything. It is all about the goal. To loose weight, you have to eat healthier and move more. Now go have FUN doing that. Log it and see how the equation is working through the tracker. Need more moving? Go have fun or just jump in place 5 minutes. Need motivation? Read someone's story or find a refreshing recipe that targets the things you are lacking. Check out the tracker reports. Love them! Tue, 11 Jan 2011 11:21:19 EST Starting over & remembering the fun spark people diet offers http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3856706 Well, I started on spark people August 15 and was doing great until Thanksgiving hit. Totally lost momentum. Been trying to get back on track, but just hasn't happened. Today I started reading stage 1 again. So I am starting over with the baby steps. Wish me luck and pray that I have fun again.

Spark people has always made getting healthy fun. Tue, 21 Dec 2010 22:24:33 EST Exhilarating! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3743980 I had just finished my 15 mile stationary bike ride when my brother called and said he was coming over. I wasn't sure how quickly he would get here, but needed a shower. So I showered as fast as I could. (10 minutes to bathe, shampoo, and shave-- did not know I could do it that fast). I thought while I was at this speed, I would see how much I could get done. I was amazed. In 40 minutes, the house was spotless and felt I had burned about 100 or so calories. What was the amazing part wa... Wed, 27 Oct 2010 12:41:42 EST Excitement http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3660755 This morning I woke up with a sense of excitement. I fixed my husbands breakfast and got him off to work. Then it was time for my stationary bike and my excitement faded. I love my bike because as I ride, I can close my eyes and think and dream about everything else. However, due to a lot of interruptions it has been almost a week since I did it. Once I saw my spirit down turn, I realized that the circumstances can either control us or we can control the circumstances. So I jumped on my... Wed, 22 Sep 2010 08:31:07 EST Staying active http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3642454 Today was a good day. I kept in my mind that it is being active that counts. So after riding my stationary bike, I strolled through the backyard instead of sitting down to rest. It felt good. Wed, 15 Sep 2010 23:04:01 EST I am trying this blogging thing again. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3637992 Well, I had a wonderful vacation with family visiting here and now back to myself. I thought I would try blogging again. I have never done much social sites on internet and had my first try at that today. The sparkteam leader gave me tips and I can see where I think I might like chatting with people who have similiar goals. So I thought about my blog. So here I am again. I think I might try this for a week and see how it goes. I don't really know if anybody reads this. 24 Tue, 14 Sep 2010 15:53:52 EST First entry! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3552143 I have never written a blog before. I read an article about how much blogs can help. I am going to try it out. This website overwhelmed me, but I think I am gaining an understanding of where everything is located. I want to use the cookbooks so I can plan out my meals. I just moved up to the 2nd level of the sparkpeople diet. It talked about portion control. This is my weakness. I am a big eater. I am going to measure my portions tomorrow. I just don't want to be hungry. Wish me lu... Wed, 18 Aug 2010 23:42:59 EST
