SIERRALIFE's SparkPeople Blog SIERRALIFE's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Under 150 lbs for the first time in years! I was so excited when I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 149! I haven't been under 150 since before my husband and I married. My lowest weight in the past 8 years is 148. I'm sooo looking forward to making a new "low" record every week!
Haha! That was it. Just had to tell people the news! Mon, 28 Feb 2011 13:56:59 EST Beginning Pics (Old and New)! So, here I am again. I'm scared of putting all my bikini pictures up cause I'm definitely not ready to go out in public like this! It may seem a little confusing that I have two sets of beginning pics, so I'll explain. The first pictures (on the left) are from Sept 2009; taken 8 months after my daughter was born and at the beginning of my ChaLean Extreme workouts. Since then I've stopped working out, started again (multiple times), gained weight, lost weight, moved, moved again, binged, f... Sat, 5 Feb 2011 20:20:25 EST Back and ready for some FIRE! So, I've been away from SparkPeople for about 6 months now. I really wasn't sticking with my healthy habits so I'm back again to continue my journey! Once I decided to get back to it I realized I have achieved a goal. So I got myself Chalene's new workout TurboFire. Did the first one today and loved it! I'm hoping to go through a program of this and maybe back to CLX for toning later. Well, I'm off to work. Wish me good choices! Fri, 3 Dec 2010 18:49:22 EST Push week 1 weigh in- another goal reached! I absolutely LOVED my first week of the Push Phase! I literally felt sore muscles that I have NEVER felt get sore before. I feel totally amazing! Now if I could only get my eating habits in check... Anyway, on to the weigh in. I was a day late on that but I'm excited to see the numbers go back down after last weeks gain. I'm 157 lbs exactly! Woo hoo! Down 2.4 from last week! And that also means I reached another goal! 15 lbs gone! Bye-bye, see ya never! Haha! Now I can look into... Tue, 2 Feb 2010 00:51:16 EST CLX day 30 weigh in and results (with pictures!) I'm pretty excited about tomorrow... my first day of Push Phase! I can't wait for a change in the routine. So, on to this weeks weigh in. As I expected I had a gain, from 158.6 to 159.4. Last week I was sick and didn't do much exercise, but still lost weight which I know was all water weight. I gained back less than a pound, but I'm still under 160 so I'm happy about that. It didn't help either that I haven't been making the best nutritional choices. My lunches are getting boring. <... Sun, 24 Jan 2010 15:24:08 EST Sick week weigh in! (week 4) So, this should have been my ChaLEAN week 4 weigh in, but I was sick all week and didn't work out. Today I started my real week four workouts and will do my weigh in like normal next week. However, I did weigh myself on Sunday and my new weight is 158.6! That's the first time I've been under 160 in a few years! It was really exciting even if its only temporary. Since I was sick, I assume most of the weight lost was water weight or muscle from not working out. I was still eating as healt... Mon, 18 Jan 2010 21:07:39 EST Week 3 weigh in: another victory! Although it is Tuesday and I'm 2 days late on my weigh in, I have a valid reason. Yesterday was my daughters first birthday! My husband, daughter and I traveled 9 hours (!) to Northern Cali to spend her b-day weekend with grandma and grandpa. I was really worth it just to see so much of her family that don't see her very much. However, I didn't do great things for me. Not only did I get sick (flu-like symptoms), but I didn't exercise much and had a slice of chocolate cake and ice cream!... Tue, 12 Jan 2010 12:25:59 EST CLX Week 2 weigh in... Woo Hoo! Today was my first "official" weigh in. 163.4 !!!!! I started Chalean Extreme at about 170 pounds ( I didn't have a scale for the first week so I'm not sure what my weight was). I've just completed week 2 of the burn phase. I started out using only the resistance bands, but I also bought a few free weights, because I feel some of the exercises need it to feel like I'm really using that muscle. I've been working really hard, and I'm glad I can see results on the scale. I can't wait unti... Sun, 3 Jan 2010 19:44:48 EST A new year... a new me! I've started my new year with an early start. I got up at 7:30, as I planned, had breakfast, and did CLX Burn Circuit 3. It's cliche, but I really do feel like changing of the year (and decade) has started my mind fresh! I'm going to turn my early rising and workouts into a habit this year. I feel so much more energetic when I start my day with a workout.
At my last weigh in, I already lost 5 pounds from CLX and I'm almost over with week 2! After I bought my scale about a week a... Fri, 1 Jan 2010 13:00:32 EST Finally got a new scale and wow! A few days ago, I finally purchased a scale since I sold my old one for the move across country. As I had expected I gained back the weight I lost back home while doing Turbo Jam and starting CLX. Since living in my new home, I had been eating horribly and not exercising at all! But a little over a week ago I started up my CLX again after seeing myself in recent pictures.

Me opening a gift (gee, I look happy) and my... Wed, 30 Dec 2009 21:16:42 EST CLX rest day and happy! I'm glad today is my scheduled rest day for Chalean Extreme. I sometimes do extra cardio on these days, but today my body told me it really just wanted some rest. I guess it knows best! I should not push myself too hard after only one week.
I am still trying to work out all the kinks in my diet though. I don't have a set schedule at work so its hard for me to figure out when to eat and what to eat. But my body is loving the healthier foods and the energy from the workouts!
... Tue, 29 Dec 2009 19:02:51 EST Starting CLX....again (HELP ME!) And I don't mean round 2. I mean, I've only done one week of it and stopped. Then I moved and did another week......... then stopped again. I just got done week one and I am NOT going to stop til I'm done this time. My problem is that my routine gets messed up, I'm lazy, and I haven't been eating healthy at all. I wish I could just blame it on the the holidays, but that isn't entirely true. Since moving into my new place I have eaten so much sugar! My husband and I are renting a large... Sat, 26 Dec 2009 23:54:55 EST Travelling did horrible things to my weightloss plans! I had just finished week 1 of CLX and was feeling super great about it. I was eating great, exercising and taking my vitamins every day. I was in the "zone". I knew I would be driving across the country to my new home soon, but was convinced I could still eat healthy and attempt to my CLX exercises. I was so wrong. I didn't eat "a lot" of fast food, but enough to feel guilty. I didn't exercise at all.
Now I'm at home, though not entirely settled, and I just started over week 1 of... Sat, 10 Oct 2009 17:23:05 EST Done CLX week one.. how soon do you see any results? I know I'm being a bit over-anxious, but I'm just curious when I can expect to see any results. I feel like I may be doing things wrong. After the "day 1" measurements, I didn't weigh or measure myself until today. It looks like I lost 1/2 inch from my chest, but I think thats because I'm wearing a different bra. Haha! But I've dropped more than 3 lbs. Normally I'd be happy about that, but I thought with CLX, I should lose weight in the first month, only lose inches. Anyone else get... Sun, 27 Sep 2009 11:24:35 EST Chalean Extreme Day 1... too easy? So I just finished my first day of the new Chalean Extreme. I'm really excited about the whole program but I wonder if I'm doing some of the moves correct, especially the lower body workouts. I'm using the resistance bands, but I don't get how they work when I do the squats and things. I understand they add resistance, but I feel like its just on my arms, not legs. Don't get me wrong, squats are hard enough for me so I think I'm still getting the workout. I just don't get what the bands... Mon, 21 Sep 2009 11:05:37 EST Starting Chalean Extreme soon! I can't wait til Monday! My summer job is ending and I'll spend my first day off... working! Working out, that is. I have been a Turbo Jam fan for a while. Two summers ago it helped me lose 20 pounds! It my fault for slacking and gaining some back. After the birth of my beautiful daughter, however, I realize I need some extreme changes. Luckily I found ChaLean Extreme! :D I can't wait to start. It looks awesome!
I still have Chalene's food tip booklet from Turbo Jam, but I o... Thu, 17 Sep 2009 23:52:31 EST Help! Preparing for a rough and fun road trip! Its coming up soon! My family and I are moving to Olympia in October. Its a few short weeks away. Since I've committed myself to a healthier lifestyle this will be my first big test. My husband will be driving from NJ to WA over the span of 10 days. This means a lot of sitting, a bad habit of mine. :) I love camping, which is how we'll be spending our nights, and this will give me a great opportunity to get in some outdoor stretching, jogging, and whatever! I'm so excited about this.... Mon, 14 Sep 2009 12:45:34 EST Is there such a thing as too much exercise? I know I am very anxious to begin my weight-loss journey, but will I do the opposite?
Every day I do Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred try to do some Turbo Jam also. Together that's 70 minutes of hard cardio/kick boxing. Sometimes I am still motivated to do more but I've already burnt over 800 calories! I only eat between 1000-1200 calories a day. If I do much more exercise I'll burn more than I eat! I think that's the point... maybe. I'm not to educated with these things. I read ... Sun, 13 Sep 2009 18:27:25 EST Time to lose it for good! Since I'm brand new to this site I suppose I should start with a summary of my "weightloss" history. I've never been a naturally healthy eater, I really have to try to do it. Once I moved out of my parents house I became a fast-food girl because of the convenience. I slowly packed on the pounds without noticing. One spring day, while bathing suit shopping (cliche, I know 20 ), I realized that I wasn't in the best of shape. I looked into fun ways to lose the weight and stumble...
