I am LOVING my fitbit. It is helping me sleep better and syncs with sparkpeople and myfitnesspal (I use myfitnesspal for tracking food more than sparkpeople--I like the app better and it syncs better with the fitbit).

I also started used Zombies Run this week. It is an app that is somewhat like roleplaying. You have to listen to the prompts, do missions, and run from zombies. I actually felt like I got the best workout of the ... Wed, 19 Feb 2014 16:01:57 EST Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5624449 I haven't been as active as planned. I was doing REALLY well in the first two weeks of the year, but then I got more hours at work AND have gotten sick TWICE already. YIKES. Today I got a fitbit flex when I got a new phone at verizon, so hopefully that'll kick my bum into gear. I need it, since I hope to run a 5k in a few months.

So sorry about my inactivity! It's really not the best way to start the year off. I'm hoping to hop back on the food and activity tracking train tomorrow... Sat, 15 Feb 2014 01:43:37 EST January So Far http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5603390 A couple weeks ago the husband and I were both sick. This past week we were still really fatigued. This completely threw me off my routine and I've done a terrible job at tracking both food and fitness.

This week I'm trying to get 'back into the groove,' especially since I had been doing so well previously.

We did a free trial at a 24-hour gym here the first two weeks of the month. I liked the convenience, but right now with my lack of a decent paying job it really isn... Thu, 23 Jan 2014 12:56:33 EST Increasing My Activity on Sparkpeople http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5582505 I am trying to increase how active I am here on Sparkpeople. I keep reading articles about how being involved in the community features of the site helps a lot, and I am hoping that it will help me. I did fine losing weight 'on my own' using SparkPeople's tools, but now that I am building on top of that goal I think involvement will help me a lot.

I started earlier this week by joining some specific challenges and SparkTeams that will help me reach my goals. I am also trying to po... Sun, 5 Jan 2014 00:06:42 EST My Personal Blog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5571865 I don't typically post on sparkpeople. To follow my blog go to:
Wed, 25 Dec 2013 22:09:39 EST New Fitness Class http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3967121 This semester I have started taking a swim conditioning class. It is really hard, but I can already tell it's helping out a lot! I feel better, sleep better, and it is a lot of fun. I love swimming, and I think taking a class will help me to go and continuously workout! Thu, 27 Jan 2011 20:13:00 EST Tried a new machine today :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3694226 I still haven't found a gym that I really like, but I'm going to start going to my college gym more. I'm just not a huge fan of it, nobody talks to you there. I need to find a gym that I actually like. The college one is convenient though, and that's helpful. I go when I'm done with class before I go home. At least I found a new machine I like. It's an elliptical trainer that has a ton of workouts. Today I did the 3-in-1 full body workout. It tells you what to do (go forward, reverse, use arm... Tue, 5 Oct 2010 13:26:15 EST I'm back http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3691419 I haven't been using sparkpeople for a while, and I realized I was doing much better using it than on my own, so I am back! Right now I'm taking classes and working but I'll try to get on the site at least every other day to track things. I still have about 10 pounds to lose, and then I might set some fitness goals beyond that! Wish me luck :D Mon, 4 Oct 2010 12:28:00 EST Here to Stop the Gain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3294940 This is the first time in my life that I have put on some fat pounds. I'm a petite person-five feet tall, and normally about 100 pounds. When I was on depo-provera, I gained 20 pounds! Now that I'm off it I've already lost 3, but even those three haven't been easy. But, now I know how I look when I've gained some fat, and I do not like it. I don't like how I feel either. That's why I joined sparkpeople! I'm hoping to stop myself from becoming overweight and to get into the best shape in my li... Wed, 2 Jun 2010 23:25:16 EST Up then Down http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3283798 So a little under a week ago I started using SparkPeople and I love it! It has helped me get motivated every day to exercise and eat healthy! Well, healthier. I still need to work on slightly less carbs and a lot more protein. I didn't realize how little protein I was getting compared to how much I need.

I was doing so well the first 5 or so days, with cardio and strength exercises, but then I got the flu. So the past three days I haven't been up for moving, let alone exercising. ... Mon, 31 May 2010 01:10:40 EST
