I am so glad to find the seated exercise videos on SparkPeople. Today Coach Nicole taught me the proper form for arm & shoulder exercises with dumbbells through video. Sat, 1 Sep 2012 12:28:19 EST Look for your small goals - they can sneak up on you! So happy this week - raised my steps per day from 500 to 750. What a surprise! It sneaked up on me that I was actually increasing my steps. Looking at the report, it struck me that it was time to up the ante. <BR> <BR> The first step was replacing my old WW pedometer. Hubby gave me a new one for my BD last week - a SportLine Digital Motion Sensor that is light and clips on my waistband. I had planned to purchase the one on the SPark product page, but I won't look a gift-horse in the mo... Grocery day & errands day. Fun with recipes day. <BR> <em>180</em> <BR> <BR> Created Shar's Apple Upside Down Cake. Used Splenda Brown sugar, no sugar applesauce & egg whites. Will enter the recipe & figure out more accurate nutrition. 1/8 is about 370 calories with 2 fat grams. Making the serving size smaller might be a good idea. I like it warm with a scoop of Edy's Fat Free Vanilla Frozen Yogurt. Also a sprinkle of nuts sounds good. Sure satisfies my eternal sweet tooth. ... Thu, 12 Jul 2012 00:08:49 EST Figured out how to remind myself to hydrate! It's so easy. . . . It finally dawned on me how to make sure I drink enough water each day. I created 2 more snack times - one for mid-morning, one for mid-afternoon, one for evening. First thing each morning, when adding breakfast items, I add 2 cups of water to Breakfast & Lunch & Dinner & 1 cup of H2O to each snack for a total goal of 9 cups daily. <em>194</em> <BR> <BR> Now each time I add an item to my food tracker, I see the water I should be drinking. Made three bean salad, similar to the one from weight watchers cookbook. Tracked all my meals and cleaned up the kitchen. Took a walk to the mailbox. Made my grocery list. Had a great time today finding new recipes. Even entered one of my own! It takes time to find ones that fit into our lives, checking out the nutrition and products needed, and entering items into my favorites. But it is well-worth it. Eventually, the more I use the site, and the more I learn, I think the whole process will be easier.
