I have been away and I am just getting back to my new "normal." I lost my dad back on the 25th to lung cancer with pneumonia complications. He was brave to the end and signed a DNR 2 days prior. He waited until my stepmom was not around and signed the forms. He bravely decided to end all treatments Sunday night and then he peacefully went through that open door that one day we must all go through. Bye daddy I will always have you in my heart and will see you in the Heav... Fri, 7 Oct 2011 14:01:37 EST I have been out sick I have not been able to workout or anything much. My root canal went viral. My face swelled up so bad that I was home for a day and on pain killers and anti biotics. I have more treatment on Friday so I will have the weekend to recover. Wish me luck. I miss my running... Wed, 10 Aug 2011 13:12:15 EST Graduating from HS My youngest daughter graduated from HS today. I am very happy to have gotten her to this milestone in life. I could not have done it without God. My spouse walked out on me suddenly and I was devastated. He has healed my wounds and I am grateful that he cared for us each and everyday. Thanks be to God. Love to all my spark people. You have been there for me too. Your encouragement has been what I have needed. Hugs to you all. Tue, 17 May 2011 21:54:15 EST P90X and me!! Monday I started P90X and wowzaa!! I am so impressed with it. I was a little scared but I will just hit play and do my best and "forget the rest." To supplement I run 3 miles at lunch when I can, however, today the winds are going to be gusting at 35-45 mph and the dirt is flying. My newest "thing." I have a desk that you can crank up or down. I brought in my mini -stepper and I can step rather than sit. Lots of co-workers are impressed and stop by to check me out. The stepper keeps c... It felt good and I wish I had not put it off this long. Let's get ready to give 2011 a good run for the money. Together we can do it. For all of you who are hurting and sad look to the Lord and He will see y... Mon, 17 Jan 2011 19:31:17 EST I miss you Mom Today 13 Jan 2011 marks the 1 year anniversary of my mother's passing. I ran with a seasoned runner for 3 miles instead of having pizza from a famous "in these parts " Pizzeria. I am thankful to have a seasoned runner who keeps me on track and sometimes it's the other way around. I was able to avoid a lot of calories and burn some. Got home and completed my strength training. I have the rest of the evening ahead of me and I really feel proud ... Fri, 19 Nov 2010 21:07:43 EST Veteran's Day I salute the Men and Women of the Armed Services. My dad is retired from the USAF and I am retired from the US Army. I will have to wait to get home and hit the treadmill this evening. I can't let anything stop me from getting in my workout and I wish you all much motivation to stick to your fitness plan. 465 Tue, 9 Nov 2010 15:55:53 EST Saturday Night

It's Saturday night and it's me and the dog and Spark!! Sat, 30 Oct 2010 22:48:12 EST No Intention of running at work One of the seasoned runners I run with said to me go get your stuff you're running today!! It's 53 degrees and the wind is at 4 mph. She was right so I went to my car and got my workout clothes and got dressed and headed out. You could not have asked for better conditions. 45 mins later I am a happy camper. Thu, 28 Oct 2010 16:38:13 EST She said you're running today...Go Get Your Stuff I had every intention of running at home on the treadmill but no the seasoned runner I run with at work said it's 53 degrees and no wind go get your stuff. Woo Hoo! 216 Mon, 25 Oct 2010 20:21:52 EST I Just may have something that is working for me... Last week I made the effort to run with a couple who are seasoned runners at work. That was the best decision I made in a while. They have a 3 mile path through the desert. The first day I ran alone to get the feel of running outdoors. The next day I ran with them and they were awesome. I could not keep up with them but I did not stop. The next day I even though it was chilly and overcast I changed and headed out again. Each day my steps were over 10k and I like knocking out the run i...
