The good thing is that when I do run, it's outside. I'm hardcore now! Our condo community has tons of little jogging paths and they've been perfect for hammering out 3-4 mile runs. I spend a lot of time commuting to NYC, so it's hard to find time for working out. Hopefully, as the days get longer, I'll find time to squeeze runs in on weekdays. Week 1 into Week 2 (Redux) I've decided that training for a marathon is just crazy. It seemed like such a good idea back in January, and now that I'm struggling... not so much. And it was followed by a 12 miler in hilly Central Park, where I experienced the nastiest pulling pain in my right knee at mile 10. I do not recommend running 2 miles through the pain. (Though the thought of walking 2 miles to the subway was also not appetizing). According to an article I read over the weekend, if you take an extended break from running or working out and consequently gain weight - then go back to running or working out, you will not lose weight unless you do MORE than you did before the hiatus. <BR> <BR> I really need to step up my game.
