It's amazing I'm so use to my body I can guess how much weight I've gained and I was correct. I'm up 17 pounds from happy weight. This was three days ago. Knew I needed to be on sparkpeople again. Had a few good days a week ago and then back to bad choices and no exercise. Was sick and that is the excuse I was going with. Need routine badly. I'm returning to work after medical leave for hand surgery. I go back on Feb 1ST. This will help so much. Even though work is hard and I'm worried my hand with have difficulties I need the routine so much. I will work hard to not buy food at work and bring my own. Weigh loss is always easier for me when I'm working. I have two more weeks off for the lead of absence I took from work for hand surgery. I'm still nervous about trying to get into my scrubs. Ugg. Lost 50 pounds three years ago and in the last 6 months I've gain 17 back. Not going to continue on this path :) Made the decision today. I stepped on the scale. I've been avoiding it. My excuse, its cold I dont want to stripe and weigh. I'll do it tomorrow. Thu, 14 Jan 2016 12:02:19 EST Getting back to it wanted lasagna for breakfast. Haven't weighed in over a week. Before I warmed it up I got on the scale. Glad I did. Up 4 pounds. Changed my mind about my choice. Made chicken salsa with cabbage and light sour cream on two carb cutting tortilla. I know I eat strange breakfasts. But my new choice was just about 300 cals. Way better then probably 800 I was going to eat. So glad I got the guts to step on scale. Now back to tracking food and exercise. I love that I have lost weight more then... I haven't run for two months because I broke my hand on a run. Healing and had my first runs this week. Great feeling. I was going to have lasagna for breakfast. Today I realized I do need to track my food and exercise to help me get there. I would go for weeks without loosing much weight at all but it has finally come together. I know it's frustrating to EXERCISE and watch what you eat and not loose weight. I kept doing it and now the weight comes off when I'm not expecting it. I think my body was fighting it and now it has acceptance. EXERCISE has been key and now I need to make sure I eat enough to keep doing it!!! I'm at the point where I have to make an effort to eat... Was not exercising regularly and not taking care of myself. I was ready for change. It started with just tracking what I ate, then my exercise and then my weight. It's amazing how if we don't pay attention to the details of our life the weight packs on. I have lost over my goal by 2.5 pounds. I'm not overly skinny at all. Very hard to have my husband leave me for another woman after 24 years of marriage but I'm doing better and sometimes worse at times. This has been the hardest 2 weeks of my life. I haven't been on sparkpeople because I found out on halloween that my husband is having an affair and in love with the other woman. He left me in a house he tore apart to remodel and never finished. This morning was the first time the scale has been down in about three weeks. I'm so stoked. It might be slow going now but it's still going and that makes me feel great. I am now in the range of normal body weight for my height. Yes, just barely but it is great to know I'm getting healthy. Tried to workout once. Now it's in my chest and cough has started. I'm not sure but it seems like on the end of it. I would like to get to gym today. Gained two pounds. Been up a bit and down a bit having a really hard time losing this last 10 pounds. Today, I changed my workout a bit. I usually run 8 times during my hour on the treadmill ( 3 mins at a time) for a total of 24 mins of running. Today. I ran a mile straight, incline walking for 10 mins, ran another mile straight, incline walking for another 10 mins and then ran another mile straight, followed by incline walking for the las... Skipped a day of gym yesterday. Feel better today. Made dinner for my son and future daughter in law. I haven't been cooking very much at all with this reduction in eating :) It's a lot easier to control what I eat if I just cook for myself. So I've lost 30 pounds in the last 4 months and my husband ( without trying) has lost 20 just as a side effect to my not cooking very much. He is happy about it. I do cook a lot healthier when I do. Down a pound that I had not already lost, if that makes any sense. Hoping this is a trend for the week. Worked out in the evening last night. I didn't have work and choose this over watching tv. Mon, 17 Sep 2012 12:19:18 EST The challenge of the day So, got workout done yesterday. Doing one again today. Morning workout. Around 10am. Today's challenge is I'm going to our county Fair. Yeah, haven't been to the fair in years but I'm worried about my eating there. My favorite thing in the world is french Fried Artichoke hearts. It's my thing. Trying to think how I can have a few and not the whole thing. Also thinking I should eat first before going at 5pm. Well, that's the plan Fri, 14 Sep 2012 09:48:17 EST Well, I did it So I made it to the gym. I did 65 mins on treadmill. I ran 8 times during the hour for .25 of a mile each time. I did fine up untill my 7th .25 of a mile. My knee felt like it was going to split open on the side. I slowed the run down to a walk and recovered. I did one more .25 mile run before my workout was over but it was full of knee pain. Ugh... I will work more on stretching before workout. I really want to keep running. I had pain in the outside of my left knee while doing it but it didn't seem that bad. Well, this morning can't move it without it feeling like it's going to snap in half. I'm pretty sure it's Iliotibial band syndrome. Inflammation of fibrous tissue that is there. I did really push it hard yesterday. So today rest and ice and no work. Hoping it just needs rest.
