That sounds like a lot when I put it that way... maybe I will decide I'm done sooner, I don't know. I'm a little hung up on wanting a healthy BMI, and I'm almost 30 (29.4) pounds above the top of the healthy BMI range right now. I honestly don't think I look as fat as my weight would suggest, but maybe I just don't see it. The 36.6 more pounds is based on what the Dukan webs... There are walls of snow almost as tall as I am on either side. And 12-18 inches are predicted for tomorrow night into Sunday!

I have now been following the Dukan diet for almost 3 weeks, and I'm down about 9 pounds. Mon, 2 Feb 2015 16:04:36 EST Welcome to February http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5867366 I was down another .6 pounds today, to 189.6. Buh-BYE, 190s!

Yesterday was my first protein + vegetables day. I added spinach to my Dukan oat bran galette (a weird pancake that I actually have been making with wheat germ) and had a grilled chicken salad at a restaurant for dinner. Today was a protein only day. I also made it to the gym both weekend days. When I do strength training I have been finding that I actually get a much better workout when I use light weights and good form/... Sun, 1 Feb 2015 18:59:53 EST Cruise Phase http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5866551 I love that I'm already onto phase 2 of this diet! Phase one was called "Attack," and it was five days, and I lost 4.6 pounds in that time. (Actually, I gained 0.4 two days ago as I mentioned in my last post, and I gained 0.8 yesterday, which - I'm not going to lie - was starting to feel rather discouraging, but then today I was down 2.8 pounds!)

So now I'm onto the "Cruise" phase, which lasts between now and when I hit my "true weight," which should be a little more than four mont... Sat, 31 Jan 2015 13:49:21 EST Quick Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5865429 Today I was up 0.4 pounds, but I'm not discouraged. For one thing, I had to weigh myself much earlier this morning, and I tend to weigh a little more when I have to wake up earlier. For another thing, well, TMI, but female cycle stuff happened. Which means that hopefully I'm in for a nice satisfying weigh-in soon. (In the Dukan book he actually says that after your period you can expect to see your weight drop at a "dizzying" rate.)

It has been really easy to stick to this diet so ... Thu, 29 Jan 2015 19:12:55 EST The Dukan Diet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5864438 The Dukan Diet is a fad diet book written by a French doctor. The French version came out in 2000 and the American version came out in 2011. So I'm a little late getting on board. Supposedly Jennifer Lopez, Giselle, and Kate Middleton (or her mom??) have all done this diet, but who knows if that's true.

I know it's controversial. If you google "celebrities Dukan" the first article that comes up tells you why you SHOULDN'T do this diet. (Though the reasons listed in that article wer... When I was reading these chapters all I wanted to do was eat more sugar, fat and salt! Counterproductive. Now I've finally reached the behavior modification section of ... I was just about to eat a granola bar AND bring a brand new box of crackers to the computer with me...but then I thought about how I've made it all day so far with only healthy choices - smoothie, coffee, almond milk for breakfast. One serving of a batch-cooked meal for lunch (white chicken chili). One "just a handful" bag of almonds and cherries for snacks. Almost 90 minutes at the gym. And now it's practically dinner time. My weight is embarrassing, so I don't want to talk about that. I bought an EPT test (EPT = Early Pregnancy Test) yesterday, actually a box of 2, and I took one this morning. I got a negative. It was the kind with a plus for positive and a minus for negative...and well *I* thought I could see a very faint vertical line, but my hubby couldn't. And I've been makign poor eating choices and gaining weight rapidly. :( I'm embarrassed to say this, but I'm hoping writing about it will make me snap out of it.

I really can't blame this on some sort of "set-point theory," the excuse I've been known to use for my weight ups and downs. This time though it's just simply giving in to poor choices. I have a fridge full of crisp apples and fresh oranges, and my us... Fri, 20 Apr 2012 10:22:18 EST My Activity Feed - Who Knew? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4838506 Yes I'm writing a blog at 11 P.M.! It's my week off! I can write a blog whenever I want :)

I can't believe I never noticed this before, and you all probably already know this...but when you click on "FEED" at the top of your Spark page you see all the status updates you ever wrote on Spark...and, more interestingly, all the comments and "likes" people left in response. I had no idea anyone was commenting or "liking" my status updates at all! I went back and read them all...my earli...
