I am determined.

So far this week I have done strength training via videos 2x and have walked 3 times.

I need to change up my workouts by changing my intensity as well as the actual exercises I do. Mon, 12 Nov 2012 08:59:44 EST Nov 5th http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5124714 It is another new week. I was happy with the scale this morning after a great day staying on track yesterday. I have been reading Tosca Reno's books about Clean Eating. I am working on adjusting my diet to include protein 5 times a day with healthy carbs. For example for breakfast: oatmeal with strawberries and 1/2 of low fat cottage cheese.

My husband is continuing his HCG diet and is down over 20 pounds 17 days, which is awesome. I continue to support his effforts and pra... Tomorrow is Monday and a new day. I will prioritize my workouts early in the morning this week to help insure they are not forgotten. Sun, 7 Oct 2012 18:54:08 EST Workout Excuses http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5036713 Here are some of my workout avoidance excuses....

Too tired
Housework or other things to do
$ spent for workout classes
I will do it later
I worked out hard yesterday...I am too sore
I deserve a break
Wed, 29 Aug 2012 22:31:57 EST It is a new week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5033042 So I got on the scale today and was dissapointed as I was up 3 pounds. I am been in a rut for the last few month or so, so I am hoping with this added focus each morning, I can get myself back on track. The kids have started back to school so this next week is a good time to get into a good routine. My husband has been struggling with his own journey as he has been recovering from some back issues. My hope is that we can work on some of our goals together beginning this week.

I... Sat, 18 Aug 2012 09:16:24 EST Vacation reflections http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4793917 We pulled into our driveway about 3am after driving back from Arkansas. We spent some fun time in Branson - my daughter and I did some outlet shopping while the boys rode the go-karts.

I weighed in this morning at 144.4 This is up a few pounds from about 5 weeks ago. Home life has been stressful as my husband begins to look for a new job. He has lost over 75 pounds this last year and is struggling with his last 15 pounds as well. I hope that together we can get back on track w... Sun, 18 Mar 2012 20:35:40 EST Last day of Vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4792192 Ending our vacation today in Arkansas. We had a good time, but ready to get back into the routine with my food and exercise. Sat, 17 Mar 2012 14:41:52 EST 10/20/2011 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4544958 I did 45 minutes of exercise at physical therapy today.

I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday. I think I over did it with my ankle. PT says to cut back to 20 minutes and add about 5 minutes each day if pain/swelling ok.

Thu, 20 Oct 2011 12:44:34 EST Great Day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4469719 This morning I started early with my physical therapy appointmet. She did a great job of stretching and massaging my leg and ankle. I was able to improve my range of motion by 3 degrees after she helped my ankle loosen up.

I then had my follow-up with the surgeon today...2 months after my ankle surgery. I think he was surprised to see me still using one crutch but this has been the direction of my pt as a result of my sessions and overll comfort level. The good and yet scary ne... Tue, 6 Sep 2011 15:09:58 EST My cast is off! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4417155 Hurray! It has been 4 weeks since my ankle surgery to repair osteochondritis dissecans and calcaneonavicular coalition and my peroneal tendon. I was able to get my cast off yesterday and have transitioned to a walking boot. I can begin to slowly increase my weight on my foot using crutches as support. I will begin physical therapy on Monday 2x a week.

So far, I have been very tentative in placing weight on my foot due to pain. I hope this will begin to improve. I have been ... Tue, 9 Aug 2011 18:12:18 EST Good Week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4138477 I am continuing on my journey to getting healthy. I look forward to my weekly weigh in on Monday as I know that I will lose a couple of pounds. It has been so helpful to track my calories burned wih my bodybugg and I have been diligent tracking my calories in. I actually think that I may be too low on my calories at about 1100 on average each day totalling about 800-900 calorie deficit each day. My husband is doing well which is a great motivator, he has lost 21 pounds on his medically s... Sun, 3 Apr 2011 10:56:16 EST A good day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4103961 Today has been a good day. I have stayed away from many temptations although I did enjoy one glass of wine. My husband is on day 3 of his medically supervised very low calorie diet. It has been very helpful for me as I have totally resisted those unnecessary calories knowing that he can't either. I do feel guilty eating my dinner in front of him, but I need to get over that. I have worked hard on my own weight loss and fitness these last 3 months, and now he is doing the same.
<B... Sat, 19 Mar 2011 22:58:21 EST Joined the gym today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4018095 So I joined the 24 Hour Fitness nearby today. After completing two 4 week bootcamps, I am ready to begin owning my own workouts. Although I loved the bootcamps as it provided great variety and intense workouts, I cannot justify the monthly cost. I am hoping that as I begin working out on my own, it may open the door for my husband to begin joining me a the gym.

So tomorrow I will have my first of 3 introductory trainer sessions to help me create my workout plan. I hope to hav... Mon, 14 Feb 2011 21:25:33 EST
