Temperature was in the low 30's and I decided to take advantage of it and try a little snow shoeing. Temperature was in the mid 50's and a little breezy, but when we walked through the trails, the trees protected us alot from the wind. This hike is exactly what I needed. I had planned to participate in a 5K last month, but it didn't work out and i've really been wanting to complete one, so I signed up for a virtual 5K and completed it today in 55 minutes and 28 seconds. I am going to sign up for another virtual 5K to complete in a couple weeks, so that I can work on improving my time. Sun, 1 May 2011 13:59:03 EST 2nd week of 5k your way walking program complete I completed my 2nd week of training for a 5k that I plan to walk on May 1st. I finished this week with a 2 mile walk and it went great. I actually added some jogging time in with this 2 mile walk and to my surprise I actually like it. I have never been one to run or jog as a form of exercise, but the way I felt afterwards was amazing. I feel energized and have an almost high feeling. I am now thinking that maybe I will jog 1/2 and walk 1/2 of the 5k. Next weeks training will be adding m... I lost 4 lbs this past week bringing my weight loss total to 20 lbs. I am happy that I have lost 20 lbs, (still have a lot to lose) but it's amazing to see the little things that are happening as I make my way down the scale. My pants are getting looser, it's great to have looseness in the leg area.
