I believe I have gained back about 5-10 of the 30 pounds I have lost; but not going to let it get me down. I've tried for the last few weeks to get back on track but yesterday was the first day I really felt truly motivated. It never fails; if I log onto SP and spend time reading articles, posting on the boards, etc then I almost ALWAYS feel suddenly motivated. So to get back on track I plan to log onto facebook anytime I feel the urge to mindlessly... Sun, 7 Jul 2013 16:04:45 EST Annoyances http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5261946 Well I keep forgetting to update this but I want y'all to know I am absolutely still here, never quit on my goals yet. In fact, since mid December I am down 25 pounds.

I have taken up running. Since January 1st, I have completed a 1-mile race, 2-mile race, and my first 5k. I have absolutely, totally fallen in love with running. Yes, it's so hard when you're starting but the rush you get every time you add mileage or even bettter, crossing the finish line, can't be beat.

... Sun, 24 Feb 2013 10:12:10 EST Mystery food http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5193841 If I cook something that you can't recognize by looking at it, and I say "here, eat this!" are you going to eat it if I refuse to tell you what it is? Of course not.

But do you realize that you do that every time you eat processed food? Pick up a bag of Doritos, a box of Hamburger Helper, or a box of cookies. Do you really even know what have the junk in there even is?

Does it not alarm you that you are eating mystery food?

I used to get annoyed when my broth... Sun, 6 Jan 2013 21:06:40 EST HEALTHY New Year! Please read! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5182295 If you are reading this, I bet chances are very good that you have set a New Year's Resolution to lose weight. If so, congratulations on taking that first step! I am proud of you, even though I don't know you. I know that if I am doing it, you can do it, too.

But saying your goal isn't enough; you have to do it, commit to it, work at it, and see it through. Did you know that only 8% of people will actually see their New Year's Resolutions happen? Which means many of you reading thi... Mon, 31 Dec 2012 13:37:28 EST fitness goal http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5139686 I've been doing a lot of reflecting lately. 10 years ago, I was at 185 pounds and decided on a whim to lose weight...and I ended up getting down to 135. It was so exciting, but back then, I didn't have any plan as far as how to get down to my goal weight (120), and how to maintain it.

Since then, my weight has gone up and down...I have NEVER fit my final goal...and when I weighed myself a few weeks ago, I was depressed to see I had hit 191, the highest I have EVER weighed. EVER. ... Sun, 18 Nov 2012 20:31:14 EST Would anyone read it? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5132774 I am really, really good at knowing how to maximize a dollar and not waste anything. All the time, I am sharing money-saving tips to my family and friends. I'm thinking about starting a blog sharing tips once a week as far as saving money. I would mostly do it for fun, but if others benefit from my tips, that's great, too! If I started such a blog, would any of you actually read it? Reply and let me know if you would so I can see if it is worth my time to do so. Mon, 12 Nov 2012 13:13:33 EST Well.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5117371 So I lost any progress I made. I have been very frustrated. I have never, ever been the compulsive eater/binge eater type, but for the last few months, I've been eating everything in sight at night time. Meanwhile, my husband is already down 40 lbs. Sigh.

I guess there is no use in worrying about the past. I do need to learn to keep my impulse to eat under control...it is so hard for me. I guess every day is a new beginning. Tonight, I have fought the urge about 5 times to eat--I ... Mon, 29 Oct 2012 23:03:17 EST Down a little http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5021621 This week was all about easing into a healthy lifestyle. I stayed within my calorie limits but didn't exercise yet. I didn't want to burn myself out too soon.

The scale today (Sunday is my weigh-in day) doesn't show any loss, but my measurements show that my waist is down an inch and a half and my hips are down an inch. So, that is good.

My plan for this week is to continue eating as I now am, but start adding even a little physical activity. I'm not sure realistically h... Sun, 19 Aug 2012 10:10:00 EST Fresh start http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5013378 Any of you who are friends with me on SP might notice I deleted all my blog entries. I also deleted all the pictures I had.

That is because, I'm sorry to say that not only have I fallen off the wagon weight-loss wise, but I am now heavier than I have ever been. I am disappointed, and embarrassed. When I was in grad school, I rode my bike everywhere and went to the gym every single day for an hour and was really fit. I have no idea why I just stopped being active when I moved home ... Mon, 13 Aug 2012 10:59:34 EST
