SAUGADREZ's SparkPeople Blog SAUGADREZ's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Gone, but recharged and reinvigorated!!! So I have been gone for a while and have been easing back into this the last two weeks. I just switched my diet stage strategy and even got up at six this morning and pulled a full hour on the elliptical!!! That was quite a push I tell you but I think it got my metabolism going strong for the rest of the day. In the month or so I have been gone I think I did fairly well also (I did gain weight but only five pounds).

Now with the new year I feel reinvigorated and I have two mon... Sat, 6 Jan 2007 10:13:54 EST Working My Way Back I have been doing pretty good about getting in at least four days of excercise a week while I have been working. Also, I have been keeping my calories down alot, sometimes too much. Today I only had ~750 calories. I am pretty tired and don't really feel hungry (hopefully my stomach is shrinking). I need to keep the calories a bunch higher (more than double) otherwise I will just go into starvation mode. I am happy to say I am down to 307lbs now. I am only seven shy of my goal of 300 by ... Thu, 14 Dec 2006 22:31:00 EST Back on the Ball Well i did very well yesterday and today and when I got on the scale today I was 310 lbs. Down another one. Not bad I think considering my last lapse. I was able to do alot of excercising today and watch what I ate very closely. So all that being said, I think I am back on track and here comes those ten pounds by Christmas!! Mon, 11 Dec 2006 22:12:23 EST My Return Well a little over a week and I have really faltered on my dieting and exercising. I had the trip to Nebraska earlier this week that went very well. Although I did not get to exercise I did not go crazy with food, but the beer and alcohol yes. That spilled over to Friday night when I went a little wild too and wound up drinking for 12 hours. So yesterday was a day of recovery and today I have returned to track all of my foods eaten and to excercise. I have plenty of time off coming up ov... Sun, 10 Dec 2006 20:13:44 EST A Trip to Nebraska Well I got on the scale today and the weight is just coming off now at a pretty good pace. I am putting some distance behind that wall now. I woke up weighed myself and saw I was 111 lbs. All the exercising is paying off now I think I have increased my metabolic rate. I feel more full of energy than before and when I wake up I look forward to the day ahead.

I have a tough trip coming up for the next three days where I am going to try to eat healthy. the problem is we are sta... Sat, 2 Dec 2006 20:52:11 EST Rough Couple of Days Well I have been off the site for a couple of days, I had some personal issues that made me a little depressed and I really did not want to do anything but sleep. So I took a break from things to clear my head and gather my thoughts and energy again. I am rejuvinated though!

This morning put in the best mood, I got on the scale and in amazement to me I weighed 313.5 lbs! I even leaned way forward on the scale!! I am down 23.5 lbs from when I started SP. Thank you guys so much fo... Thu, 30 Nov 2006 20:25:09 EST A New Week and A New Outlook Well I didn't write in yesterday because I was pretty tired after working out and just wanted to get to bed early so I could get to work. I ran out the door and didn't get to weigh myself this morning like ususal (when I should weigh the least). When I got back home I ate a well balanced dinner then hopped on the scale and to my suprise I was 317 lbs (a half pound less at the time I should weight the most). Pretty excited about that. I am starting to see a differene in the way my cloths a... Mon, 27 Nov 2006 22:04:27 EST Little Tired Today Well after two days of some real hard cardio pushing I am a little tired today. I did managed to do my band leg excercises and 45 minutes on the elliptical. No need to try and kill myself on that machine I am just happy I was able to do so much. time to give my body a slight rest over the next two days and I think my new strategy will be to hit the elliptical hard three times a week then keep it around 45 minutes the other four days.

On the flip side I am extremely happy I hav... Sat, 25 Nov 2006 19:23:17 EST Steppin' It Up!!! Okay, last night my brother and I got the old stairstepper from my storage unit and cleaned it up. Now it is ready to go. Time to vary some cardio so I figured today I would do my strength training then between two sets get on the stepper for 1 minute for a total of ten minutes. This should help out and keep the blood flowing. Already I have done 45 min on the elliptical (30/15) and I plan one more round after dinner this evening. Well back to it and can't wait to get on the scale tommor... Fri, 24 Nov 2006 17:24:57 EST One Holiday Down!!! One Left to Go!!! Well I did it. I am pretty pround of myself today. I pushed really hard with the cardio before dinner and was able to do 30 minutes on the elliptical. I then stayed well below my mark of 1600 cals per day at 1493. Today wasn't even my biggest calorie day in the last TWO WEEKS! I then went and did another 30 minutes on the elliptical after dinner. I drank plenty of water relaxed a bit and was even able to have pumpkin pie. I topped off the day with a final 20 minutes on the elliptical. ... Thu, 23 Nov 2006 22:06:55 EST The Big DAY!! Well after two weeks of pushing and one week of pushing against the wall I felt really good yesterday and varied up my cardio. I was able to do 35 minutes on the elliptical (15, 10, and 5 minute clips), 10 minutes of rowing, 20 minutes of walking and 30 minutes of circut training. IT FELT REALLY GOOD!! Now my muscles ae sore but I remeber this feeling and it always felt good. I will take it a bit easier today with the cardio and perhaps do a walk and the elliptical for 20 minutes.
<... Thu, 23 Nov 2006 15:08:20 EST Pushing Hard Well yesterday I decided to tackle the wall head on. I was amazed an upped my cardio on the elliptical machine to two bouts one of 10 minutes and one of 15 minutes. Weigh in today was still 319 but I realize I have to give it a little time. I also began doing more core excercises today to help tone. I am doing real good on tracking calories and eating healthy. Well, back to it. I better hop on that elliptical. We shall see what a week of this does. Wed, 22 Nov 2006 15:23:18 EST The Dreaded Wall!!!! Ok, after my first full week or so on sparkpeople and almost two weeks on the diet and excercise program I HAVE HIT THE WALL! I seem to be stuck at 319. Before when I have hit this point in dieting I tend to keep it up for a week or so more but then get discouraged. NOT THIS TIME I WON"T LET IT HAPPEN. I have been tracking all my calories, buying and eating healthy food and excercising I am doing everything right.

So what do I do? Well this time I am either gonna bust through ... Tue, 21 Nov 2006 17:24:49 EST The Road to A New Me. Well it has been since Thursday when I went to the doctors office and realized my weight had increased to 337 lbs. I was pretty distraught at this because I was active this summer and was around 300 for a while. Now that winter is here and I am less active I feel I must take action before I reach my all time hi weight of 350 lbs. I have been big all of my life, 34 years, but I really feel there needs to be a change. Lets hope that the Sparkpeople site can help. Right now I am down to 325... Mon, 13 Nov 2006 21:06:07 EST
