SASIKHASI1's SparkPeople Blog SASIKHASI1's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community I miss him On may 29th, Lalo Lynn Navarre died at the age of 37. He was my son's best friend and one of my own. I took him in at the age of 16 and he has called me mom since. He had a heart attack that took his life. I miss him so much, the pain is never ending. I miss his smile, his laugh, the phone calls in the middle of the night just because he needed to talk. With his passing, a hole has been torn in the fabric of my life of the life of my kids and grandkids. They all loved him unconditional... Fri, 16 Jun 2017 22:38:46 EST Dad I am going to be off for a few days. My dad is in the hospital, he is dying. They are making him comfortable with morphine, but no life saving devices. I will be camped out at the hospital until he passes. Please forgive me for not responding to posts for awhile, and thank you in advance for your prayers. Fri, 22 May 2015 23:54:45 EST tooth is out I have been fighting health issues, and the latest is an abscess tooth. I had this huge lump on my jaw, so I reached in with a tissue and squeezed it until it burst. I kept squeezing until it bled and quit bleeding. Went to the dentist and was told the tooth could not be saves as the roots were fractured from a root canal that was done. I went to the oral surgeon today and got it pulled and got fitted for a partial so I do not have a huge gap in my smile. I am pretty stoned off the paink... Thu, 5 Mar 2015 21:19:48 EST custody battle My son has been fighting a custody battle for over a year now. He has temporary custody of his daughter. On Tuesday of this week the second round of trial began since the opposing side could not finish their portion six months ago. Lo and behold, they did not finish again, so we have to go back next week to hopefully finish up. The mother of the child is a meth addict that frankly needs our prayers, but she has no business having a child with her full time. My stress level is skyrocketin... Fri, 19 Sep 2014 16:20:43 EST Sorry, but this is how I feel sometimes lol The Tradition of the Angel on Top of the Christmas Tree
When four of Santa's elves got sick, and the trainee
elves did not produce the toys as fast as the regular
ones, Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of
being behind schedule. Then Mrs. Claus told Santa
that her Mom was coming to visit. This stressed Santa
even more. They will not be doing the surgery as it will cause more damage than it will fix. Putting in a coil to stop the bleeding is not possible either. The area that is bleeding is so small, the coil will just not fit without causing her major damage. They will take her off the respirator tomorrow, and from then on, it is up to her and God to keep her breathing. Please pray. Sun, 8 Dec 2013 03:32:46 EST My Mother In Law We went to see my mother in law three days ago and she was alert and knew who we were. We had a good visit with her, she was laughing and talking the best she could considering the massive aneurysm that burst in her brain on Thanksgiving day. But, this morning my brother in law called. Not good news. The clot that was keeping the aneurysm from bleeding further broke loose, she is bleeding again , and now is on a respirator. She had a living will and in that made my husband Power of Fac... Sat, 7 Dec 2013 15:33:32 EST Thank you I want to thank each and everyone of you who sent me the wonderful birthday wishes. They were very much appreciated. I was going to send out individual thank you's until I saw how many there were lol. May each and every one of your days be blessed. Fri, 30 Aug 2013 23:55:26 EST spark points I just moved up another level on my spark points!!1 Woo Hoo, after this one just two more to go. I did notice it gets a little harder each time lol. Sat, 20 Jul 2013 19:44:39 EST My health issues I have been extremely ill for the past month. At first the doctors thought I had mono and hepititis but the blood work came back negative for that. My white cell count was through the roof however, but they could not find the reason. I kept going back to the doctor and they finally ordered a CT scan. Through that they found I had diverticulitis, and it was on the verge of rupturing. They put me on massive antibiotics and I am feeling much better. It has been a long road and I will be o... I am a Republican, I do not hate anyone rich or poor, and I am not a mean person. Neither is any other Republican I know. My personal and moral beliefs are what made me change from a Democrat to a Republican. I believe in helping out my neighbors that are in need, but I do not feel that my tax dollars should go to perform certain fun... Sun, 16 Sep 2012 00:34:47 EST Oral surgeon I had an appointment with the oral surgeon in Beaverton today to get a tooth removed. It was cracked clear up into the root system. They needed to put me completely out to remove it. I am scared to death of needles, and it is usually a huge battle to get a needle into my arm as my veins literally shrink when I see a needle. I had many friends on SP praying for me today. That prayer was answered. I did not panic, pass out, or run when she came to do the IV. It went in the first time, wa... Wed, 8 Aug 2012 22:23:17 EST I have been a bad girl First day back at work after a week of vacation. Had to be in early to open the department and write the order. I unstacked and restacked four pallets of freight. I hurt all over. So, after I get off, I buy ice cream, caramel syrup, and raspberries. One cup of ice cream, two tablespoons of syrup, and six ounces of raspberries makes for some mighty fine comfort food. At least I did not quite blow out my calorie limit for the day. Sun, 15 Jul 2012 20:33:58 EST I feel like an idiot I have been rushing around all morning getting stuff together for my vacation, and for work. I get into work at 1:30, and find out I do not have to be there until 5 tonight. So, back home, change, and do my SP stuff lol. I could have relaxed this morning and gotten my walk in. On the up side, I have lost another pound which puts me at 50 lost. Tue, 3 Jul 2012 17:16:03 EST Answered prayer A few years ago when my kids were little and I was flat broke, my glasses disappeared. I went through every room in the house, no glasses. I dumped out my purse, and put everything back in one piece at a time, no glasses. I could not afford another pair and I was certain my husband, ( now the ex ) had taken them and hidden them as he was prone to do. He was very controlling and verbally abusive. After looking all day with no results I prayed about it and asked God to please put my glasse... Sun, 1 Jul 2012 01:30:08 EST What to do on a rainy day It was raining hard and the wind was blowing today, so i could not get out to walk my three miles. The day was dragging, and I was feeling sluggish. So, I turned the tv on to one of the CD channels, picked the one titled Jukebox Gold and turned it up. I danced in my living room for 45 minutes. Never has time flown by so fast when I was working out, nor have I ever had that much fun working out. Just me and the cats, (they were watching and I swear they were giggling) as I wiggled and jig... Mon, 25 Jun 2012 00:49:28 EST He loves me anyway The Lord made me in His image. He knows my thoughts, my hopes and dreams, my wants and desires, my fears, my insecurities, and He loves me in spite of all my flaws. What is a flaw if we are made in His image? It is something that society imposes on us. Society tells us we should weigh X amount, we should wear X brand clothing to be accepted, we should go to X church, we should look a certain way to be attractive, etc. Well guess what!!!! All of that is not true. He loves us just the wa... Sat, 16 Jun 2012 17:30:24 EST Nasty fat comment Leaving the tanning bed today I overheard a skinny miss make a comment about me that was rude and unkind. She said something about me trying to melt off my fat. I acted like I did not hear her, smiled at her and wished her a good day when I really wanted to smack her face. Then I started thinking.
My husband met me when I was at my heaviest and married to my first husband. He fell in love with me and kept it to himself for over four years. Things were not good in my marriage an... Tue, 5 Jun 2012 20:31:45 EST healing Yay, my thumb finally quit bleeding. I can go to work tonight without worrying about it. The swelling has also gone down, so it does not hurt as much as it did. God is good. Sun, 3 Jun 2012 13:13:22 EST surgery Yesterday I had a large cyst removed from my right thumb. I had to miss work today since I cannot get it to stop bleeding. Any time I bump it or put any pressure on it, it bleeds. So, I am just puttering around taking it easy, waiting for the darn thing to calm down. I have to work tomorrow night, so I hope it cooperates with me. I would have never thought that a wounded thumb could hurt so much. Ten days with the stitches in, then hopefully it will be back to normal. Sat, 2 Jun 2012 23:37:01 EST Breaking through a plateau For two months now, I have not lost any weight. I am still tracking food and fitness, yet nothing is coming off. I did my best to not get frustrated, and just kept on doing what I knew was right. However, I started taking a day of rest each week. I work a very physical job, and I was walking three miles 7 days a week, plus doing some strength training. So, I slowed down on that and started giving myself a break during the week on my days off from work. I got on the scale today and I was... Thu, 31 May 2012 14:05:32 EST reflections As I sit here and reflect on my day, I am asking myself, whose life did I make a difference in. Did smiling at somebody make their day brighter? Did doing something extra for somebody make their life easier? It makes one stop and think about how our actions affect others. Try smiling at a stranger and see what happens. You just might make their day better. Sat, 19 May 2012 21:42:46 EST rain rain go away come again another day We are on our fifth day of heavy rains, and we had a lot of snow in the surrounding mountains. The rivers are coming up quickly. I am tired of the foul weather and am ready for some sunshine. This weather makes it hard for me to get in my daily walks, so I am having to be inventive in my efforts to get my exercise. Summer, hurry up and get here please!!!! Sun, 1 Apr 2012 01:00:02 EST families On this day 23 years ago, I was giving birth to my fourth child. He was born with red curly hair and he was searching for something to eat the minute he was born, so I named him Robin because he reminded me of a baby bird. He is now over six foot tall and is a big, handsome man. Just yesterday my oldest child, a son as well, had his first baby come into this world. December was two months early, but was truly a miracle in that she had absolutely no health issues. She weighed in at four p... Mon, 19 Mar 2012 02:26:28 EST Losing weight In my journey with SP I have lost 45 pounds + three jean sizes. Feeling and looking good, but the best thing is that my husband has now joined up. He is counting calories and losing the pounds. This is now a family venture and is going to get even more interesting as the weeks go on. He seems to think that we are in some sort of competition lol, but little does he know that he will be awhile catching up. However, I am so proud of his efforts so far. 104 Thu, 15 Mar 2012 15:01:37 EST grandbabies Grandchildren are God's reward to us for not murdering our teenagers. LOL. I love my four children, but my grandchildren really have me wrapped up tight. They are such a joy and I want Audra, Caitlyn and Lyra to know just how much Grammie loves them. I wish I could see you each and every day, and I miss you ladies. Sat, 3 Mar 2012 12:44:46 EST 2011 what a year I started this year out at 220 pounds. Surfing the web, I discovered Spark People and signed up. Thanks to the wonderful friends I have met on here in my three teams, I have gotten down to 182. I have dropped three clothing sizes, am working out or walking each day, and I feel wonderful. Having the support of Spark People and using the tools on the website has been the core of my sucess. I have found that the nutrition tracker has been my biggest ally in my weight loss journey. It keeps... Fri, 30 Dec 2011 17:38:06 EST life throws curves, so learn how to catch My computer crashed four days ago. NO, this threw me for a loop, but I took out my handy credit card and hustled to the nearest store and got myself a brand new computer. Then my tech guy said he could not make it until next Tuesday. He showed up yesterday as he had a cancellation. In the meantime, how do I enter my food intake, read my support emails etc? I went to the library and did what I could there. When that got to be too much of a hassle, I kept track on paper then transferred to... Sat, 1 Oct 2011 01:50:30 EST what am I doing Wow, it is state fair week. I went with a friend and totally pigged out. I felt horrid and bloated. Eating at the fair is just not a good thing as there are really no healthy choices. So, it is time to work out extra hard to burn the extra calories consumed and time to get back on track. I cannot beat myself up for slipping up. My stress levels are high right now as I have not been able to see my grandchildren for over two years now. It is a long story, one that makes me cry just thin... Wed, 31 Aug 2011 11:45:01 EST not much It is getting frustrating to not be able to work out as I would like. I just want my foot to heal. I can and have walked, but that makes my hurt so bad I am down for a few days. I am going to have to try some of the featured exercises where you are in a chair or on the floor.
