SARANOW's SparkPeople Blog SARANOW's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Broken Plateau So the last few weeks I've been really concentrating and focusing my energies into busting this nearly 4 month plateau. I've started an exercise streak, increased my fruits and veggie consumption, and consistently drank my water. This all seems to have paid off because I have begun losing again! I've broken into the 170s and have renewed faith in this process. I'm excited to keep up these streaks and reach new goals! Wed, 15 May 2013 19:18:43 EST Dazed and Confused I've been on this journey of weight loss and lifestyle changes since April of last year and lately I'm finding it seems to be getting harder and harder. I have lost over 50lbs since I started but its hard when I don't see it as much as I know it's there. I know I have lost a significant amount of weight but I just can't seem to feel proud of this accomplishment as I still have 35lbs more to lose. I don't know if its a lack of motivation or if I'm just tired of being so focused on my weight lo... Fri, 15 Feb 2013 10:11:07 EST Black Jeans So today we'rs having a party for my mom's birthday, and I was in my closet deciding what to wear when I decided to try on these black jeans I got last Christmas that were too tight. I wanted to see how much more I had to lose to make them fit me. Well, guess what? I don't have to lose another pound to put them on! They fit! I was so happy, and this just made me even more excited to keep pushing and pushing until I reach my goal. :) Sun, 3 Jun 2012 15:24:10 EST Motivation So I found this week was pretty challenging motivation wise as it took a lot of effort for me to get up and go workout. But i made it through. I went running on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I also did some dance workout on my Wii. I hope that next week I will find myself rejuvenated and with renewed motivation to continue my long journey to a healthy body. Fri, 1 Jun 2012 11:16:15 EST Running Success So today was the first day of my 5K your way challenge and I'm super excited to say I did it! I went out into my neighborhood and forgot all about my insecurities and just ran. Surprisingly, I enjoyed myself and am excited to do it again on Wednesday! I may have found my new hobby. :) Mon, 28 May 2012 11:19:38 EST Running I just joined the 5K your way challenge, and am going to try running this week. I'm nervous because I know I won't be able to keep up with all the other fit people who go running. But I am going to try and not be self conscious and just enjoy a beautiful day and try my hardest to improve my health and running capabilities. Wish me luck! :) Fri, 25 May 2012 11:54:50 EST Accomplishment So I went to this interview last week for a part time job and today they called and offered me the position! This really helps to boost my confidence because they obviously saw something in me that is worth employing. I'm excited to start. Woohoo! Tue, 22 May 2012 15:33:30 EST Cottage I'm going away to my cottage for the weekend, so hopefully I won't fall off the bandwagon too badly. I will try to continue with eating less calories, but I doubt there will be much cardio done this weekend. I'll just have to work hard next week to make up for it. Fri, 18 May 2012 14:53:13 EST I'm On My Way I've only just joined this site 8 days ago, but already I feel more optimistic and motivated to lose this weight and lead a healthier lifestyle. I've been tracking my food and exercising daily for at least ten minutes, and am glad to see the numbers on the scale drop each morning when I wake up. I'll just keep on trucking, and striving to reach my goal living an active and happy lifestyle. Wed, 16 May 2012 16:27:45 EST 1lb down I have lost 1lb already since joining a few days ago! I am so excited because i am down from the 230's to the 220's!! It makes me proud because I am still motivated to keep going and to reach my ultimate goal of being at my ideal weight. I hope this works out, because it will change my life in such a good way. Fri, 11 May 2012 15:29:25 EST Week 1 So this has been the first week of my diet, and i have started losing weight. I am afraid, however, that if i don't see results quick enough, i will lapse back into my old ways. This happened around two years ago when i lost over 20lbs but since then i have regained around 50lbs. I want this to stop. It needs to stop. Hopefully this time will stick because i do not want to continue living in this state. But my outlook is optimistic that this time will be the right time. Thu, 10 May 2012 10:19:42 EST
